Verily, Allah is the One Who splits the grain and the seed. Allah is the One Who brings forth the living from the dead and the dead from the living. This is Allah; how can you turn away (from the Truth)?
Tafsir
Allah (swt) has placed seeds and kernels in some of His creations so that they can reproduce. Allah's saying that He cracks the seeds and kernels means that He has placed in these seeds and kernels the nature of the trees, plants or vegetation themselves. By cracking them in the soil, He transforms the essence of this plant, which is magnified thousands of times under a microscope, into a plant or a plant of its own generation by making it come to life under the soil. Or by making the seeds in the soil, or the cells in the wombs, to be a bed for them, they are able to return to their own generation and reproduce. Allah (swt), through these examples, draws people to contemplation and explains to them that no power or might other than Allah (swt) can do these things.
(He is the One who brings forth the living from the dead and the dead from the living.) Allah, Who has created all beings and creatures out of nothing, has placed cells in the skeletons of His creations that the earth cannot eat. (We have revealed to the earth what it can and cannot eat from the human body, and what it can and cannot eat.) According to this verse, Allah, the Exalted, will gather His creatures on the Day of Resurrection, and (when the animals are gathered) according to this verse, these seeds in their skeletons will be resurrected from these cells, just as a plant comes to life in the soil. They will disappear by taking their rights from each other. These Verses will be explained to you in detail when the time comes. The human skeletons will also be resurrected as a result of these seeds and become the body of the person again, and according to the Verse (when you come before Me with a driver), when the body, which is the driver of the soul, arrives before Allah, it is the testimony of the bodies against Allah and the soul. These Verses will be explained to you in due course. Allah is the Creator out of nothing and the One who kills His creation and then resurrects it.
There is no being in the universe created with the verse (This is Allah), that is, in the heavens and the earth and everything in between, that can bring the living out of the dead and the dead out of the living. The secret of these things is reserved for Allah. However, we can make changes on what has been created. Otherwise, we are not able to create out of nothing, to kill them and to resurrect them. This event is reserved for Allah alone. By emphasizing this event, Allah is declaring that no being other than Allah can do this, and that this event is unique to Him.
What is said in the video
Verse 95, Surah Al-An'am. Indeed Allah is the one who splits the seed and the kernel, who brings forth the living from the dead and the dead from the living. That is Allah. So how do you turn away from the truth, He says. He who creates from nothing, then multiplies what He created through seeds, who inscribes their lineages into those kernels, those seeds, who inscribes those characters into those seeds, and those kernels, on the nature they were created with, carry on their own kind; He who destroys them again and with those kernels brings them into being again, Allah brings forth the living from the dead and the dead from the living.
He is capable of everything. He both causes death and gives life. Yes. He gave life to people too. In this world. He will cause people to die in this world. But souls will not die. They will taste death and go to Barzakh. Then He will resurrect people in the hereafter with the trumpet of Israfil. How will He resurrect them? He gives an example in the Quran. Allah says He sent down water from the sky. With it He (?) the plants. He gave life to the plants. The seeds, those kernels sprouted, split the soil and they came to life, He says. That is how you too will be resurrected, He says.
Just as He gives that as an example, that kernel, just as that kernel comes to life with water from the sky, so you too will be resurrected, He says.
On the sixth layer there is a layer of water called the sea. There is a lake of water. Let's call it a sea of water. A sea of water. With the earth flattened, the mountains crumbled, in a place with no descent or ascent, the undying kernels that are the seeds of people will sprout with that water in the world. They will come to life. That water will again bring forth the human body, to the fingertips, from the soil like sprouts coming out. Then these will meet the souls within frequencies. When you come into My presence with a driver, they will be called to account. Yes. Since a person does not know how he came into the world, what adventures he went through, what events he encountered, since he opened his eyes in this realm, a person will reflect on his past.
Let me tell you. I know a little. A little. Because my Lord showed me many realms. I know our creation in the realm of Lahut. But I don't know how we were created. I know our sudden coming into being. Suddenly, three companies. According to the word of Allah Almighty they are divided: those of the right, those of the left, and the class of the Muqarrabun. Then we make the covenant. I know that too. Then we are raised to Barzakh. To Barzakh. I remember it like this. I remember it in two ways. First: you know how some people say when dying, give my greetings to so-and-so, give my greetings to such-and-such.
These are true. We used to welcome those who came into the world. We would say, oh, we didn't see so-and-so. Where are they? And he would say this: He fell under Allah's wrath as a denier. Oh, he would say; can Allah ever be denied, we would say. I remember those. Then I find myself on a seashore. A child, a little child. Three of us were taken from there. Two stayed, we went on. Two came up to a point, we went on. And we received the duty.
But I don't know how I came from there into the world. After coming into the world I see this state. I see these. Our Lord's kashf reveals them. Of course, with (?). On that seashore, as Yunus Emre said, the tifl of the realm of meaning, he says, its child. That is where they are taken from. Then in this world, with (?), in a very short time, with our Lord training him, he grows up. He is raised. These are the unlettered ones. After that, as far as I saw these adventures, this much I saw. We lived through these anyway. That's how it is. Our creation in the realm of Lahut, our being raised to Barzakh, when our time came, that He made a covenant, we know that, right; when the time of our covenant came, Allah Almighty's taking us from there and bringing us to the world; living our time in the world and proving what kind of person we are, our (?) to the hereafter.
Then, then, our resurrection there again as bodies, and in the presence of Allah Almighty our giving account. These, these are now an unavoidable event. An unavoidable event. In the verses Allah Almighty always tells about these things anyway. That He made a covenant with them, with people, and that your return is to Me: when you come into My presence with a driver, He says. That you were blessed in the world for a temporary time, well, He tells all of it anyway. People get stuck on small details. They cannot tell them apart.
Yes.
So that some of the generations He created could reproduce, Allah Almighty placed in them seeds and kernels. Allah's saying He splits the seeds and kernels means: of these seeds and kernels, the trees, plants or herbs that are their substance, their very nature, into these seeds and kernels He has placed. Splitting them in the soil, He takes the essence of these plants, magnified thousands of times under the microscope, and, giving it life and growth under the soil, turns it into a plant or into plants of its own lineage. Or, letting seeds lie in the soil again, or cells in wombs, He makes them return to their own lineage and reproduce.
For in human semen, that lowly virus, there being 70 to 80 thousand human sperm, normally 45 to 80 thousand; at the lowest, 5 thousand; the womb opening like a shutter for that sperm; just as when shooting that film under the sun, you set the shutter and it opens and closes instantly so the sun does not burn the film too much, so by Allah Almighty's mercy, of the sperm rushing into the womb, that womb, like a shutter, opens and catches one of them; sometimes it can catch 2 or 3; well, 200-300 it can be. Well, a creation by a tremendous act of creating. Well, and there, that kernel, magnified thousands of times under the microscope, that kernel turning into flesh, well, turning into a skeleton, then being covered with flesh, first being a blood clot, coming to this state in three darknesses: these are our Lord's miracles.
Miracles of Allah Almighty. Three darknesses. In the belly, in the womb and in that water. Yes.
These, from the soil, splitting them in the soil, He says, splitting them in the soil, the essence of these plants, magnified thousands of times under the microscope, under the soil, giving it life and growth, He turns into a plant or into plants of its own lineage. Or, letting seeds lie in the soil again, or cells in wombs, He makes them return to their own lineage and reproduce. With these examples Allah Almighty leads people to reflection, and that these events no power or might besides Allah can do, His explaining this to people is something. Yes.
His explaining it to people. Above all, that there is no god but Him. O human! Please, He says. Know Me as Lord. I created you for that. I will give you many things, He says. I will give you My Paradise. Don't be stubborn, He says. Don't be stubborn. Just as a father, a father, or a father's child rebels against the father, and how he spreads his wing over him? My son, don't. Look, (?) this, my son. Come on. Like his saying you are heading for disaster; even more compassionate than that, even more merciful, spreading His arms and wings over people, protecting them with His mercy, Allah Almighty shows people every way so that they may reach salvation.
Does Allah wrong His creatures? Yes. He does. How does He? Actually Allah doesn't. That person wrongs his own nafs. His own nafs. If a child headed toward a cliff and the father told him, my son, don't, don't do it, look, you're going there, look, these will drag you to disaster, don't; and he stubbornly kept at it, and they killed him there, or he fell off the cliff, would it be the father who did this? He did it to his own nafs. Allah Almighty, too, calls people to the truth. He calls them to what is right. Don't follow Satan, He says. Don't follow the path of Taghut, He says. Don't follow them, He says. I will treat you with My mercy, He says.
Say Allah, He says. Believe that there is no god but Allah, that all the books are from Allah, that the prophets are true, He says. And pray your prayers properly, He says, you know. Allah Almighty says nothing else. But see how man, from his nafs, from his grandeur, from his pride and arrogance, cannot break that nafs. And he benefits from all the blessings his Lord has given. He never thanks Him and is ungrateful. This is humanity now. You know, he comes along and says, look, I'm human, I have a conscience. That person, with that conscience, benefits from all the blessings Allah gave. But he never thanks the giver of those blessings.
So where is your humanity? Was this your humanity? Was this your conscience?
Yes.
With these examples Allah Almighty leads people to reflection and explains to people that these events no power or might besides Allah can do.
He brings forth the living from the dead and the dead from the living.
Allah, who created all beings and brought creatures out of nothing, in His creatures' skeletons, cells that the soil cannot eat away has placed. That the soil cannot eat away.
And what are you saying, Hodja? Today so many skeletons have vanished in the soil, where did you get this from? Allah said it, I didn't say it. Look what the verse says: We revealed to the earth, of the human body, what it will eat away and what it cannot. I'm not saying it, Allah is saying it. If you believe in Allah, these are true; if you don't believe, if a person does not believe in the Quran and hadith, don't answer him at all, don't talk, end it, it says.
Yes.
So He brings forth the living from the dead and the dead from the living. Allah, who brought all beings, the created creatures, out of nothing, in His creatures' skeletons has placed cells that the soil cannot eat away. Allah Almighty, in one of His verses: We revealed to the earth, in the human body, what it will eat away and what it cannot eat away. According to this verse, Allah Almighty gathering His creatures so perfectly, according to the verse when the animals are gathered, in their skeletons these seeds present, like a (?) growing from the soil, these creatures will be resurrected again from these cells.
They will take their rights from one another and cease to exist. These verses will be explained to you in detail when their turn comes. In human skeletons, being resurrected through these seeds and again into the person's body turning; according to the verse when you come into My presence with a driver, with the body whose driver is the soul, on arriving in Allah's presence, it is the bodies' testifying to Allah Almighty against their soul. These verses will be opened to you when their turn comes. So Allah is the one who creates from nothing, causes His creatures to die, and then resurrects them again.
Yes. That is Allah, after all. He who creates from nothing, then causes death, then resurrects. So why does He resurrect after causing death? Did He create you aimless, to live in pleasure in the world and go against His command? For every blessing received there is a (?). He created you in this world as the noblest of creatures, how beautifully. He provided everything you need in this world. So Allah Almighty, who willed to be known through man, gave that person his own will into his own hand. And He gave him from Himself a mental soul. O human! Go on, off to the world! I have given you a soul of your own too.
Live as you like. If you want, (?). Do whatever you do. I'll give it to you, did He say that? Allah's order would be broken that way. Its unity and togetherness would be broken that way. So, in a way worthy of that propriety and good manners, of unity and togetherness, of respect and reverence, He created man as the most (?). In this case He gave people eyes, ears and hearts. They will see, hear and know the truth with their hearts. And that he was created within his own helplessness, that his Creator is gracious toward him, that is, that the Creator is gracious to what He created, and that man should know his helplessness before his Creator, and in gratitude, well, not be ungrateful, that he will fulfill all that Allah said; in this case, when man fulfills what his Lord said, he will attain his Lord's mercy: our Lord makes this known to these people.
Those outside this are the ones who (?) their own nafs a god and turn their backs on Allah, and one day will come when Allah will call them to account. Yes. Won't He ask us? He will ask us too. Yes. Our witness: the words of Allah, and Allah's verses we (?) our backs on. It will go as a witness for us. For them, for them too, their nafs living outside Allah's verses will go as a witness against them. In this case, can one who knows and one who doesn't be the same? Can one who obeys Allah and one who doesn't be the same? Allah, with His attribute of justice, will judge among people with justice.
And in this case, if you look at the passing world and give up the whims of the nafs, if you break the whims of your nafs for Allah, if for Allah you help Allah's creatures as much as you can, if you live your life within the sharia ruling our Lord made known to you and continue your worship, keep away from evils and are with good deeds, you will attain Allah's mercy. Allah Almighty will forgive your sins too, your small sins, and make you attain His mercy. Because you match the form He created, the intention He created with, He forgives you and makes you attain His mercy. But if you do the opposite, then what an evil place of return that is: man ends up in Hell, may Allah protect us.
May Allah protect us from them. Yes.
They will take their rights from one another, that is, those animals, taking their rights from one another, will cease to exist. These verses, it says, will be explained to you in detail when their turn comes. Human skeletons too, resurrected as a result of these seeds, again becoming the person's body; according to the verse when you come into My presence with a driver, with the body whose driver is the soul, on arriving in Allah's presence, it is the bodies' testifying to Allah Almighty against their soul. In these verses, when the turn comes, its turn will come. So Allah is the one who creates from nothing, causes His creatures to die, and then resurrects them again.
That is Allah, we said. Here some (?) people may also be listening to us. Hodja, so will all the animals now enter Paradise too? This question may come to their minds. Or the (?) may put a question to us this way. No. They will take their rights from one another and disappear. Except the first created ones. They will enter Paradise. The first created ones. The reason is that pure nafs. It is the secret of secrets.
I know why they will enter. But we are forbidden to tell. So if you say, by saying it's forbidden, do you see yourself at that rank, I leave that too to your judgment. What can you say? You can say what you like. You may also not believe. Yes. However, as we always say, we can say this much. This much. All created creatures are created, for the duty they will perform, complete and flawless; no creature, in the duty it will perform, will be able to say: you put me through such a torment, I couldn't have done this. Won't be able to say it. When We created these realms, we will not find (?) as witnesses for ourselves.
Yes.
With His verse saying that is Allah, in the created universe, that is, the heavens and the earth and what is between these two, there is no being that brings forth the living from the dead and the dead from the living. That is, whatever Allah Almighty created from the atom to the globe, in this universe none of the created can either create a being or cause that being to die. Ha! I killed Ahmet, Mehmet. That killing is something else.
That it would make what it created die at its appointed time. That is, it would be a creator. Never, may Allah protect us. And it would resurrect what it caused to die. This belongs to Allah alone.
The secret of these belongs to Allah alone. However, we can make changes to what is created. But to create from nothing, of these creatures, to cause them to die and to change them, we are not capable. This belongs to Allah alone. And Allah, emphasizing this, declares that no being besides Allah can do this, that this belongs to Him alone.
