Translation

You will see that most of them compete in (committing) sins, enmity and eating that which is forbidden. Wretched is their deed.

Tafsir

If people turn away from the path of Allah and use their own intellect to evaluate their life in this world and to conduct their affairs according to their intellect, the existence of the Hereafter will seem like a fairy tale to such people. These people attach their wealth to the world and collect without regard to halal and haram, and with this they kill their hearts, turn away from Allah, and compete with people in the path of sin.

In such people, the following traits mentioned in the verse are revealed.

1- (They compete in sin.) They live their lives in drinking, gambling and fornication, and build their morals and understanding of life on these bad traits. In this respect, the concept of family collapses in such people.

2- (They compete in enmity) Because such people have no respect for each other in order to live their lives, they are constantly plotting against each other. They are enemies of each other because they lay their hands on each other's property and honor. They take advantage of each other's opportunities, and they give a kick to those who are harmed among them, helping them to tumble down and trample them. Therefore, since they have no faith, they have no compassion. People who have no compassion look for the other person's weakness and when they find it, they kick them. They are enemies of each other because of these traits.

3- (They compete in eating haram;) A person who does not pay attention to Allah's commands cannot distinguish between halaal and haram. They do not hesitate to take even the usurpations that their nafs justifies to them, considering them permissible. They consider interest on money lent to each other as permissible for themselves. That is why they engage in exorbitant prices, black markets, money games and other things that Allah forbids in their trade and commerce. They compete with each other in eating haram, since this is how they earn their income.

(How evil is what they are doing?) If a person does not rule by the Laws sent by Allah and turns his back on the Verses of Allah and lives according to his own desires, then surely these people will be on an evil path, for they will commit evil deeds. This path is a path of eternal torment, a path that leads to hell.

Allah has sent the Holy Qur'an as a guidance and light to the people living in the world. When people regret what they have done, He gives life to them by telling them to turn to Allah and that the doors of repentance are open and that Allah is Tawwab and accepts repentance in abundance. However, if people still do not change their path after so many warnings and stubbornly follow the path of their ego and the devil, the tagut, then they are dragging themselves to destruction with the Verse (How evil is what they do).

What is said in the video

Our child Tevhid: volume 2, on page 732, on page 732, that we left off at Surah Al-Ma'idah, verse 62, he lets us know.

In the verse Allah Almighty says: you see many of them racing in sin, enmity and eating the unlawful. How evil is what they do, He says.

The life of this world already seems adorned to people.

Satan, the nafs and the world, all three work as one.

The nafs is never (?) the command of Allah Almighty. And Satan is man's enemy anyway; he whips up his nafs. In the world everything looks rosy to man. In this case man drifts away from Allah through the desires of the nafs. What does Allah Almighty say? You see many of them racing in sin, enmity and eating the unlawful. How evil is what they do, He says. When people drift from Allah's path, judge their life in this world by their own reason and run their affairs by their own minds, the existence of the hereafter seems to such people like a fairy tale. What do they say? Who has gone to the hereafter and come back?

they say. Who knows if we will be raised again, they say. Muslims too say this; even if they say I believe, even if they say I believe, they are in doubt. But since they have not given up the religion of Islam, the light of the testimony of faith in them saves their life. But if they deny, they will have left the religion of Islam. Why does Allah Almighty say: O soul at rest, pleased, my Lord with you and you with my Lord, enter among My servants, enter My paradise? Why does He address the soul at rest? Yes. In this respect our task is harder than this world. Until it is at rest. Once it is at rest, things are easy.

After that it is easy. Now, what are we saying in this case? People drift away from Allah's path. They judge their life in this world by their own reason. And if they run their affairs by their own minds, the existence of the hereafter seems to such people like a fairy tale. They never remember Allah. Yes, we will run our affairs by our minds, but also taking inspiration from the Quran, the proof before us, using our minds, lighting our way, we will continue on our path. Yes, these people tie their being to the world and gather without asking lawful or unlawful, and with what they gather they kill their hearts.

The death of the heart, that is, not necessarily the heart's (?), but the death of the heart: the light of faith leaving it. Yes, Allah Almighty says, do not be with the dead, doesn't He? From these whose hearts are dead, people whom the light of faith has left, with them do not be together, He says. Drifting away from Allah, they race with people as in a contest on the path of sin. On the path of sin. Like a relay race, you know, they race. Who will carry the flag in front? They hold races. How do states compete? Well, in sin (?) in exactly the same way they begin to take the lead. I mean, you know there are stars, those stars are stars of sin, those who lead in sin, those who act outside Allah's command, who think themselves stars on the path Allah does not want, wretched people living in the swamp.

But a person sees himself like a flower blooming in the swamp and does not realize that he is in the swamp. If he (?) with his own being, those people too are in the same state as him, living in that swamp, by the state of the nafs people who think themselves stars. They lead the way in kufr. They try to make people envy them through the nafs, and people try to make them the crown on their heads. A star, you see, a star of kufr. The nafs is from there too; no one wants to be on Allah's side. Because that is how the nafs is. In this case people, deceived in this passing worldly life, go to the hereafter without capital.

Yes, in such people these traits that the verse tells of come forth. One: they race in sin. Living their lives with drink, gambling and adultery, they build the foundation of their morals and way of life on these evil traits. For this reason, among such people the notion of family collapses. It collapses. The notion of family. What does collapse in this family mean?

What does collapse mean? Neither does the father know his child, nor does the child show respect to his father. Nor does the father show love to his child. Because they are taken in by the stars of kufr; in the feelings of the nafs they race in the cause of the ego. Ibrahim, Hazrat Fakrullah says this: One day a man says to his son: Son, get up and bring me a glass of water so I can drink, he says. To his son he says: what's it to me, get up and drink it yourself, he says. When the other son says this, the father says: don't mind that rude one. You bring some water, you drink and I will drink too, he says.

That is family life. Of course, things now have gone beyond even this (?). Things have now gone beyond even this. That is why may Allah, inshallah, for our religion not being entrusted to future generations, inshallah not call us to account. We are doing what we can. I am doing what I can.

We are all responsible. Our ancestors, for 1400 years, 1400 years, left what we call ours to us as a gift, left it as an inheritance. Within these 30-40 years, within 50 years, we, yes, we ourselves, first of all because we drifted from religion, from a character that would leave our children religion as an inheritance, since we are so far we are also responsible for these children. So everyone's destiny is their own, and Allah Almighty says: for a thing I have not made known I hold no one responsible. So responsibility will begin first in the family, from mother and father toward their children. And what does He say? When they reach a certain age, teach them the Quran, teach them their religion.

If they object and do not learn, hurt them lightly, or promise them something. Buy them something they like as a gift. When they, He says, reach maturity and begin to live their own lives, for the mother and father Allah Almighty decrees this: You are their shepherds, He says. The shepherd, whenever he finds the chance; what does whenever he finds the chance mean, this is important: when you speak of Islam to a person who does not want to hear of the religion of Islam, he flares up, does not listen to you and leaves. But whenever you find the chance, that is, when he comes a little closer to you, when he comes to a state where he will listen to you, or when a certain state appears in him, at once, He says, train him in the truth. There, you are their shepherds.

Tell them, He says. So we too are all trying to tell as much as we can. Inshallah our Lord will not hold us responsible under the verse of enjoining the good. Inshallah. Yes.

So when these people drift from religion, they race in sin. In drink, gambling and adultery they swim in traits our Lord does not want. Second, they race in enmity. Such people are constantly preparing a trap.

Such

people, in order to live their lives, since they have no respect for one another, are constantly preparing traps against one another. Because they also lay hands on each other's property and honour, they are enemies of one another.

Let us open this up a bit for you.

Neighbourliness is a very beautiful thing.

A person's closest one is his neighbour. When a (?) comes upon him, his neighbour runs to him first. Help him. But now the notion of neighbourliness is over too.

You cannot trust anyone.

Whatever neighbour you meet has his eye on either your wife or your daughter. Because people have drifted from Islam, because we cannot live Islam, neighbourliness is over too. Do you know what happens in this case? The verse of Allah Almighty falls apart. We break it apart. Which verse? In the verse of unity and togetherness, our Lord's command over us we no longer listen to. Our unity and togetherness is gone. But if we lived Islam as neighbours, kept separate men's and women's quarters, yes, in this case if we were sincere with our neighbour and built a dialogue, like brothers dear as life, would Islam fall apart then?

Because of people's help to one another, would people toward each other fall short in reverence and respect? But now there is neither reverence nor respect left. If there is reverence and respect, on your money or your honour to cast an eye. Customs have changed a lot. There, they race in enmity. They keep setting traps. May Allah protect us. That is why there is no state left in which anyone can be trusted. Whereas Islam's bearing witness for one another, standing surety for one another, being together in unity with one another, makes the Muslims a single body.

A festive air blows over the earth. But when one drifts from these feelings, when no one trusts anyone, the unity and togetherness of Islam more or less disappears. May Allah protect us in such events. Yes. They race in enmity. Such people, in order to live their lives, to satisfy their nafs, since they have no respect for one another, are constantly preparing traps against one another. Because they lay hands on each other's property and honour, they are enemies to one another. They lie in wait for each other's chance; those among them who suffer loss, these give a kick and help them roll (?), they trample him.

Whereas in Islam they take them by the hand, take the fallen one by the hand. And these are verses, of course. Why do you give zakat? Allah Almighty loves His servants very much. You give it to raise their level of social life. Yes, well, when a person comes to a state of being in need, is he to be mocked? You know, Allah Almighty would test people with wealth, with want, with their lives and their property. You threw this verse aside, and the person who came to need you you began to mock. And you began to cast your eye on his (?), and began to trample him. Now, do you have any human feeling left?

Yes, if you make a comparison with yourself,

if you think with your mind, if the same feelings befell you, how would you want to be treated?

If you can make this comparison, in conscience you will take a good path accordingly. But if you cannot make this comparison, you will just perish like this.

For this reason, since there is no faith in them, they have no mercy either. And people without mercy look for the weak spot of the person opposite, and the moment they find it they crush him. So with these traits too they are enemies to one another. Yes.

In the third point, in eating the unlawful, eating the unlawful they race. A person who does not heed Allah's commands does not tell lawful and unlawful apart.

Even the seizures that their nafs shows them as (?), they see as lawful for themselves and do not shrink from taking. They consider the interest on money lent to each other permissible for themselves. Therefore in their trade and commerce, exorbitant prices, black markets, many money games and works Allah has forbidden occupy them. Since they (?) their earnings this way, in eating the unlawful with one another these people race. How evil, says Allah Almighty, is what they do. I commanded you thus, I gave you of My spirit, I made you the noblest of creation, I made you the most honourable of created beings and held you as addressees of My essence.

While none of you has power against Allah, the Creator of the worlds, with what courage, with what strength did you oppose Me? How evil is what you did. Tomorrow at the great court, when you come out with this oppression, will what you did remain as profit to you, says Allah Almighty. Will it remain to your profit? Doesn't He say it to the Prophet (peace be upon him) too? In the hadith the Messenger of Allah, in the verse Allah Almighty says: My Beloved, give them glad tidings of paradise, warn them of hell. Give glad tidings of paradise, warn of hell. Yes. Since Allah Almighty, Owner of the worlds, who creates from nothing, says that even if mankind and jinn gathered they could not oppose Allah, with what power and what fancy do you oppose Allah, and, throwing behind you what Allah Almighty said, making your own nafs a god, you go against Allah's commands? Everyone will live up to his covenant, you know, tomorrow at the great court, on that day of reckoning.

Being deceived by the passing few hours of this world and buying the torment of eternal life, does it befit people who have reason? Now I call to people, you said people, and to Muslims too, mostly I call from here. I say: if there is no god but Allah, if every mind proves Allah's existence, if Allah Almighty also warns with hell those outside His command, and our Lord is just, and who is as true to His word as Allah, He says, then when the non-Muslim, making his nafs a god, turns away from Allah's commands, the people who say I am a Muslim, with what mind do they follow these mindless ones, and following these mindless ones, admire those people?

Now, neither does the one who goes outside Islam have reason, nor does the one who goes outside Islam, following the non-Muslim, that Muslim, have reason.

The wise person is the one who thinks of his future, who obeys his Lord, while every mind proves there is no god but Allah, the mind of the person who prostrates to that Lord is the true mind, so that Allah Almighty says in His verse too: one Muslim is worth three unbelievers. Why? Through his mind. Through his mind.

Yes. So, O people of faith, you who say I am a Muslim, never envy the non-Muslims and take those who race in that sin as stars over your heads. Yes. Doesn't Allah Almighty say in the verse (?)? Whoever resembles them is like them, He says. So come to your senses.

Never compromise on the religion of Islam.

That there is no god but Allah, that every soul will taste death and our return is to Him, do not forget. Yes. How beautifully He says it. How evil is what they do. How evil. If a person is not bound by the rulings Allah sent and turns his back on Allah's verses, lives by his own nafs, of course these people, since they will be in evil deeds, (?) will be on an evil path. And this path is the path of eternal torment, a path that drags man to hell. So Allah sent the Quran to the people living in the world as a guidance and a light. When people, in what they have done, feel remorse, to Allah (?), that the doors of repentance are open, and Allah, declaring that He accepts repentance abundantly, gives life to people.

But people, with so many warnings (?), still do not change their way. If, stubbornly, they follow the trail of their nafs and of Satan, the two-legged human taghut, then how evil is what they do, says Allah Almighty in His verse; these people will have dragged themselves to ruin. Yes.
