Al-Ma'idah 64: The Jews have said that Allah’s hand is tied (stingy). Due to what they have said, their hands shall be tied, and they shall be cursed! To the contrary, Allah’s hands are open. Allah gives to those who desire (within their fate). Verily, that which has been sent down to you from your Lord will increase the transgression and denial of most of them. There is an enmity and hate among them until the Day of Judgment. Whenever they have lightened a fire for war (incited mischief), Allah has put it out. On earth, they run towards mischief and Allah does not like those who commit mischief.

The Jews have said that Allah’s hand is tied (stingy).
Tafsir
The Jews accused Allah of stinginess by attributing crimes to Him. They said that Allah's hand is tied. Look at the audacity of this people. Even the mentally ill do not utter the words they utter against Allah who created them. Since Allah (swt) has written their desires and wishes as their destiny, He informs them of their situation with this verse (they are cursed and cursed because of what they say). They are also cursed for it.
(On the contrary, Allah's hands are open. He gives to those who ask (within their destiny)) Allah has created the universe for human beings. Allah distributes the sustenance of people in justice, within their destiny. Since Allah knows the conditions of His creatures and what they will do, Allah knows how much wealth, property and money each person needs and He gives it to people accordingly. If He were to go beyond that and give more to people, He would be giving wealth to people that they do not deserve, which would increase their lustfulness and cause them to turn to evil. Or by giving too much, one squanders the money and wastes it, and Allah directs people to waste. Again, by giving too much wealth to people, He mercifully allocates only what is necessary for those people, since people of low rank cannot spend it for good, and their greed for money will reduce their love for Allah. He tests people with everything in its place and with a burden that everyone can bear.
(Surely what has been sent down to you from your Lord increases the rebellion and disbelief of most of them. (The Qur'an increases the believer's faith and the disbeliever's disbelief.) Therefore, they will not obey the Qur'an unless the Word of Allah appeals to their liking and desires. In this respect, people who are accustomed to living in the lusts of their souls will never compromise on their pleasures and will never be ruled by the Verses of Allah. That is why the Qur'an intensifies their rebellion.
And among themselves, because of their egoism and pride, because of their superiority over each other, because of their you and me, they will be both vindictive and hostile to each other until the Day of Resurrection.
(Whenever they lighted a fire for a war, Allah extinguished it.) Because they love their interests and worldly goods, whenever they feel powerful, they immediately create sedition in the earth with the opportunities they get. They create an atmosphere of war. And Allah gives them a calamity and makes them fall into their own troubles, and they fall into the pit they have dug for themselves because of the sedition they have caused. So they try to repair the wounds they have suffered.
Allah does not love such people and societies, for this people was always engaged in corruption in the earth. Therefore, Allah has cursed this people who have all the bad traits. According to the verse, whoever is with this people (is one of them), those who follow them cannot prevent themselves from suffering the same fate.
What is said in the video
Verse 64, let us explain it too, and after that let us end our lesson. In our lesson, if you have questions, we will answer your questions, inshallah. The Jews said Allah's hand is tied, is tight-fisted. Look at this matter. Look at this courage, rather, or whatever being they see in themselves, a word they said, look. Would a person of sound mind say this? Allah Almighty will create the worlds from nothing. Our Lord who creates all these worlds from the atom to the greatest, at every moment, everywhere, will know what happens and ends. He will bring mankind into the form of life in the world and settle him there.
He will give him everything he needs in the world. Of its gold, its silver, its ruby, its emerald, its food, its drink He will give. And this person will get up and say to Allah: Allah's hand is tight, is tied. What an astonishing thing. Now would you call these people intelligent? Do they have minds?
They have minds, yes, but their enmity, their enmity toward Allah has veiled their eyes, blocked their ears and (?) their hearts. Hatemallâhu alâ kulûbihim ve alâ sem'ihim ve alâ ebsârihim gışâveh, ve lehum azâbun azîm. May Allah protect us. These people are this bold, they can be this bold against Allah Almighty. And look what our Lord says: Because of what they said, may their hands be tied and may they be cursed, He says. May they be cursed.
You know, one's hair stands on end about it; my hair stands on end.
I mean, a person is beside himself before these words. Allah's cursing, and these people, while they have no power over anything, against Allah Almighty, in whose hand is all power, the power of existence, the majesty, beginning to slander by saying His hands are tied. He created the worlds, created the realms, brought you into the world, placed you, and put everything of food and drink at your command. How can this be a tied hand? How can you call this a tied hand? What was He supposed to do for you? You would lie on your back and live it up. Then? He would feed you, give you drink, have houris and angels go around you.
To you beautiful, how shall I say, (?) waters, such (?) waters, pools, palaces, mansions He would give, you thought.
Even for that, who knows what excuses you would find.
Who knows what excuses you would find.
So why did we come to this realm? To use our own will. To earn reward and sin by the decisions and judgments we make with our own will. So how nicely you prove yourself.
On the contrary, Allah's hands are open, He says. Of course. Our Lord's hands are open. He gives. He needs nothing. He has the attribute (?). That is, all the worlds need Him. But He is free of need of the worlds. He has no need of the worlds. Because He creates whatever He wills. Because He possesses creating, the art of creation. Yes. This verse has been wrongly explained. Let us read the wrong version here and correct it. Well, what does it say? Verse 62, 64. The Jews said Allah's hand is tied. Because of what they said, their hands are tied, (?) and so on, it says. On the contrary, Allah's hands are open.
He gives as He wills, it says. He gives as He wills. If He gives as He wills, that one too says this: Now, if He gives as He wills, gave to him, did not give to me. What did I do to You? he would say to this, I mean. These are the wrongly explained verses. What do we say? He gives to whoever wishes. You ask. Ask, He gives. Within destiny. Maybe I asked and He did not give, he says.
They accuse Allah of stinginess, says our Lord. If it is not within your destiny, that thing He would give you, since it would bring you harm, He does not give it. Either it would push you out of religion or drag you into disasters. That is why He does not give. But in the hereafter many rewards will come before you. You to Allah Almighty: my Lord, I did not do these. What are these? When you say this: at such a time you made such a prayer, remember. Yes. If I had given it to you, look, such and such states would have appeared. They would have appeared against you. That is why I did not give. And you were patient.
In return for your patience these are yours, says Allah Almighty. What stinginess? Which stingy one? Of course, if you strike by your own mind, if you attribute qualities to Allah, of course you say that. Even without understanding, you say so.
Yes. Our Lord gives to whoever wishes. By oath, what has been sent down to you from your Lord will increase the transgression and disbelief of many of them, it says. What is sent down from your Lord? It is the Quran. Of many of them, it says, it will increase the transgression and disbelief. Now after this, again there is a wrongly explained verse here. After that it says, yes, between them until the Day of Resurrection We cast lasting enmity and hatred, it says. Look now. Between them until the Day of Resurrection We cast enmity and hatred. Well, You are Allah; if You cast hatred and enmity between me and others, can I oppose that creating power of Yours?
Can I change that hatred You cast? Is this possible? Is this possible? Then what did You want from me? You made us enemies to each other. You see the error, look. Whereas in the verse: among them there is enmity and hatred that will last until the Day of Resurrection? Among themselves. Why? Now look. By oath, what has been sent down to you from your Lord, of many of them the transgression and disbelief it will increase. Among them there is enmity and hatred that will last until the Day of Resurrection? Whenever they kindled a fire for war, stirred up strife, Allah put it out. They rush to spread corruption on earth.
And Allah does not love the corrupters, it says. Yes. We have corrected it here in this way. Yes.
When it comes to this, we write it like this. The Jews, saying Allah (?), accused Allah of stinginess. Of stinginess. They said Allah's hand is tied. Look at the audacity of this people. The word it said against Allah who created it, even the mentally ill would not say, we said. We said it rightly. Even the mentally ill would not say it. And since Allah Almighty wrote their wishes and desires for them as destiny, their state to them with this verse He makes known. May their hands be tied and may they be cursed because of what they said; thus their traits being made known to them this way, these are stingy and very attached to worldly goods.
For their world they do not shrink from committing every kind of wickedness beyond mind and imagination; being such people, they have received the address may their hands be tied. And at the same time, for this reason they have been cursed. May their hands be tied, it says, you know; they cannot give a penny; take their life, but don't take their penny. They have become slaves of the world. They wish, (?) a year, if only we had as much more life again to live. In this case, for money, every kind of money game, interest and every kind of (?) works these do. For money.
On the contrary, Allah's hands are open. He gives as He wills. Yes. Allah created the universe for people. You ask. What you need and do not know, We know, He says. Even what lies in the highest (?) of your heart, that you need it you do not know, We know, He says. We know the secrets of your hearts. Yes, He decrees. Allah, within people's destinies, justly their provisions distributes. With justice. By each one's wish and desire, by their will, their provisions He grants. Since Allah knows the states of His creatures and what they will do, within each person's will, how much property, possessions and money a person needs, Allah knows, and gives to people accordingly.
Apart from this, going outside this, if He were to give people more, He would have given a person wealth he does not deserve, which would increase his transgression and cause him to steer it toward evil.
Or by giving too much the person would squander the money; through waste Allah would have steered people to waste. Again, by giving people too much wealth, people of low degree, since they would not spend their money on good, since by his (?) toward money it would lessen his love toward Allah, again, out of mercy, He allots these people as much as they need. He, everything in its proper place, with a load everyone can carry, people He tests. Allah Almighty says, you know: what you cannot bear, We do not load on your back. By oath, what is sent down to you from your Lord the transgression and disbelief of most of them increases.
Among them there is enmity and hatred that will last until the Day of Resurrection. As they throw themselves into those transgressions, among them until the Day of Resurrection there is enmity and hatred toward one another. The Quran increases the believer's faith and the unbeliever's disbelief. For this reason, unless Allah's word appeals to their liking and the desires of their nafs, they will not obey this Quran. For this reason, people used to living in the transgressions of the nafs will never give up their pleasure and be bound by Allah's verses. For this the Quran increases their transgression.
Yes.
Among themselves too, because of their ego and pride, their lording it over one another, because they pursue the cause of the ego, until the Day of Resurrection they, among themselves, are toward one another both spiteful and hostile.
Whenever they kindled a fire for a war, Allah put them out. Since they love their interests and worldly goods very much, the moment they feel themselves strong, with the opportunities that fall into their hands they immediately stir up strife on earth. They whip up an air of war. And Allah gives them a calamity, so they fall into their own troubles, and because of the strife they stirred up, they fall into the pit they dug themselves. For this reason they work to repair the wounds they suffered. This people, because it constantly rushes to corruption on earth, Allah such peoples and societies does not love. For this reason, this people who gather all evil traits on themselves, Allah has cursed. Whoever is with this people is one of them.
According to His verse, those who follow them cannot keep themselves from meeting the same end. Yes.
