Translation

Vow to that; We have made a covenant with the sons of Israel too, and We have sent Prophets to them. Whenever a Prophet has brought to them what their evil desires did not want (divine laws), they denied some of them and killed some of them.

Tafsir

(We have sent you out into the earth, tribe by tribe, so that you may be quickly recognized) According to the verse, in fact, according to the covenants made by all souls, all souls were separated tribe by tribe at Kalu Bela. Their separation in this way is a gathering of people whose minds are in harmony with each other, so that they can live their lives in such a way that their morals and behaviors are not strange among each other.

Allah, who made a covenant with all the tribes one by one, reminded us of Kalu Bela and said, "We also made a covenant with the Children of Israel. According to their covenant, We sent Prophets to them to introduce the truth to them and to show them the truth. It is out of Allah's pity for mankind that He sends Prophets and Books to mankind, and for them to be guided.

(We said, "Enter into it by Our command, but man increased his interest in the world and forgot his Lord, O Habibim! Remind them of the days with your Lord) because He has sent man to an unseen realm. Allah (swt) is free from imperfect attributes. Allah (swt) created the human mind incomplete and created human beings as human beings capable of making mistakes. In addition, Allah (swt) has conveyed His mercy to mankind so that people would not say to Allah (swt), "You created us imperfectly; if you had sent us a Prophet or a Book to introduce us to Your Essence, we would have worshipped You and fulfilled our duties of servitude.

But however a man has made his covenant in the past, it has become his destiny. He will never go back on his covenant again. The Prophets, on the other hand, fulfilled their worldly duties, introducing the truth to people with all their might and putting the responsibility on the people themselves. People who lived their own desires and wishes in the worldly world denied the Prophets and killed some of them, even though they were invited to the truth. Because their desires and wishes were written to them as their destiny, by living their fate in their nature, they bore witness against themselves, their surroundings and Allah (swt) as to what kind of a person they were. Allah, Who has given them their desires and wishes as their destiny, says, 'We know what they will do.

When a Prophet came to them inviting them to the truth, they denied some of Allah's messengers and killed some of them, because of their pride, their selfish desires, their attachment to the world and their rebellion against Allah (swt), because of the enmity of this people to Allah, because they could not give up the forbidden things they would eat for the pleasure of their souls. Did they think that their deeds would go unrequited? Allah (swt), being the Judge of Judges, punishes people for their wrongdoings by giving them misfortunes in this world and punishing them severely in the Hereafter. The calamities and punishments of this world will pass, but the torments of the Hereafter are not temporary.

What is said in the video

Surah Al-Ma'idah, verse 70 — in this verse it has been wrongly interpreted. What does it say? First let me read here the verse as the Diyanet wrote it, its translation, let me read it.

"Indeed We took a firm pledge from the Children of Israel and sent them prophets. Whenever a prophet brought them divine rulings their selves did not desire, some they denied and some they killed," it says. Now look at the error here. (?) you will understand. However, from the Children of Israel — We took a firm pledge from the Children of Israel. What does it mean? We took a firm pledge. That is: when We send you a prophet, you will obey him. That is the firm pledge. We took a firm pledge. Then, whenever a prophet brought them, not desired by their selves, divine rulings, some they denied and some they killed.

What does that mean, then? We took a (?) from you, but forgive Us. When I gave you these characters, I could not give them exactly as needed. And you, although you gave Me a firm pledge like this, in the face of the characters I gave you, you acted this way. Whose fault is it then? Allah's. May Allah protect us. May Allah protect us.

If you could grasp the meanings here, your hair would stand on end. He took a firm pledge from the Children of Israel. But they, against this firm pledge, killed their prophets. Or opposed them. Why? They took a firm pledge. Sorry, I (?) you. Our Lord could not give them their characters fully; and in proportion to those characters, they, not by their own desires but as a result of the characters Allah gave them, committed that deed. Whose fault? Allah's. Because power, strength and might belong to Allah. Yes.

Whereas: "Indeed, We also made a covenant with the Children of Israel." We made a covenant. Not "We took a firm pledge." We made a covenant. Yes. Look what verse 70 says here. Lekad ehaznâ. Lekad — indeed. Ehezna — We made a covenant; indeed, We made a covenant with them too, He says. Yes. Mîsâka benî İsrâîle. Misak — We bound the word. We made a covenant and bound it, He says. So if a person's desire and wish, his destiny, Allah Almighty has given him, that person will live that destiny — according to the covenant that person gave to Allah Almighty, because Allah Almighty left people free in their will; according to their desires and wishes, their aims He gave them as destiny. Yes.

Indeed, We also made a covenant with the Children of Israel and sent them prophets. Whenever a prophet brought them divine rulings their selves did not desire, some they denied and some they killed. That is: We made a covenant with them, but We know what they will do. What they asked of Me, I know that too; but since We left their will free, with their actual deeds (?) — Miskâle zerratin hayran yerah — an atom's weight of good done, an atom's weight of evil done, since We will record these, since We will record them, We left them free in their will; in their covenants, in their desires and wishes from Me, in their own destiny these rebellions already lie, says Allah Almighty. Yes: We sent you on earth as peoples upon peoples so that you may be recognized quickly — according to that verse, in fact, according to the covenants all spirits gave at Kalu Bela, all spirits were divided into peoples upon peoples.

Peoples upon peoples. Their being divided this way means that, in such a way that their minds fit one another, people are gathered together, so that, as regards their lives, their morals and behavior are not found strange among one another, and they can carry on their lives. Yes. That is. Let's open this up a bit more. Italians cannot get along with an Englishman. The Englishman cannot get along with the Frenchman. The Frenchman cannot get along with the German. The German, let's say, cannot get along with America. So, in whichever mindset such people will best prove themselves to one another in the best way, they formed those groups.

That's why in the verse: We divided you on earth into peoples so that you would be recognized quickly, it says. That is, your own traits, your own desires and wishes, right among those people, living the feelings you have toward one another, since your states and conditions are (?) the same, so that you can prove yourselves better, We sent you — those within the same characters — from the same peoples, the same nations, so that you prove yourselves in the milieu you live in in the best way. Yes.

Thus Allah, who made a covenant with all peoples one by one, reminding of Kalu Bela, says: We also took a pledge from the Children of Israel, of course. He made a covenant. According to the word they gave, We sent them prophets who would continually make the truth known to them and show them what is right. Allah Almighty sending prophets and books to people comes from Allah Almighty's compassion for people and from people's attaining guidance. It is so that they attain it. Our Lord, so that they attain guidance, sends them prophets and books. He makes a covenant with all of them. He takes a word from them. "Word" — that is, His saying "We took a word" is His making a covenant.

He writes their desires and wishes, their aims, for them as their destiny. By Our command, Our command, We said to it: enter. That is, when man increased his interest in the world, he forgot his Lord. His saying "O My Beloved, remind them of the days spent with your Lord" is because He sent man to an unseen world. That is, there, at Kalu Bela, where the matter was finished, at the address Elestü bi-Rabbiküm. When the matter was finished there, we were taken up to the barzakh. That is, how was it finished? Allah Almighty, who made a covenant with us, with each of us, gave us our desires and wishes, our aim, as destiny.

In this case, sir, we were taken up to the barzakh. To the realm of barzakh. Whenever we were to come into the world, whichever time we had wished — and these worlds were shown to us from there, like something, like a cinema, or the way they show people some parts of a town on television — for example, it shows London, it shows England, it shows Germany. So people who will come at whichever time, according to their own mindset, that time they want. Then Allah Almighty, in the barzakh — which person with which person will prove himself better, which person will get along better with which person, which person will prove himself better in which people — takes him from there, from the barzakh, when his time comes.

That's why: By Our command We said to it: enter. That is, into the body, the body. On the fortieth day in the mother's womb We said to it: enter. When man increased his interest in the world. That is, to remind him of the hereafter and that there is a Truth, to make known that there is a Lord, a proof was needed for man. What does it say there? He increased his interest, he forgot his Lord. O My Beloved, remind them of the days spent with your Lord. Thus Allah Almighty, by raising prophets in this world, or scholars in this world, telling people the truth, tells people of the realm of the hereafter and of the days they made a covenant with Allah Almighty.

He opens our Lord's verses to people. Yes, His saying it is because He sent man to an unseen world. As we always say, we, since we saw Allah Almighty in the realm of the hereafter, that is, since He created us close to His being, since He gave us of His spirit, we Allah Almighty — so that no flaw touches Allah's attribute of being Allah — so that those who deny Him would not say, "Had You sent us to an unseen world, that is, to a world where Your being is not seen, had You sent us there, how beautifully we would have worshipped You" — that is why He created this world and sent us to this world; mankind started from zero, those places were closed. In this case, so that in this world that person too does not say, "You did not send me a scholar, a prophet, a book to remind me of my Lord." Thus Allah Almighty removes all shortcomings and deficiencies in this case.

Yes, His saying "remind them of the days spent with your Lord" is because He sent man to an unseen world. Allah Almighty is free from deficient attributes. Allah Almighty, who created the human mind deficient, created people, with the human attribute, in a state of committing errors. Besides this, so that people do not say to Allah Almighty, "You created us deficient; had You sent us a prophet or a book to make Your being known to us, we would have worshipped You and fulfilled our duties of servanthood," Allah Almighty has extended His mercy to people. With what? With prophets. With what? With books.

What else? With His scholars. Yes. But however a person gave his covenant at the start, that covenant has become destiny for that person. Nor will he ever turn back from the covenant he gave. In return, the prophets, fulfilling their worldly duties, with all their strength making the truth known to people, have placed responsibility on people themselves. As I explained a moment ago, the prophets have fulfilled all their duties, and the Prophet (peace be upon him), over the prophets, will be witness. And for the Prophet, Allah Almighty will bear witness that he fulfilled his duties. What does He say to the prophets anyway?

(?): I too am with you among the witnesses, He says. Yes, people who live their own desires and wishes in the world, although they were invited to the Truth, denied the prophets and killed some of them. Because their desires and wishes were written for them as destiny, they, living this destiny in their fitrah, have had what kind of people they are witnessed both by themselves, by those around them, and before Allah Almighty. Allah Almighty, who gave them their desires and wishes as destiny, decrees: We know what they will do. What they will do. How does He know?

There is not a single living being to come until the Day of Judgment of whom We do not know what he will not do. How else does He know? When He made a covenant with people at the address Elestü bi-Rabbiküm, Allah Almighty, their desires and wishes, characters that can prove what kind of people they are, gives them in that way; and those people, with their own characters, with their desires and wishes — and Allah Almighty, in the universe, for all these people, creating attributes every moment, every second according to their desires and wishes — they prove what kind of people they are. So: Allah Almighty, who in every era of this universe provides the sustenance of people's or creatures' desires and works, Allah Almighty, who creates attributes for them — in the face of His permission no one is free of it, and until the Day of Judgment those to come are not unaware of those to come either (?).

Yes.

Allah Almighty, who gave them their desires and wishes as destiny, decrees: We know what they will do.

Because, from pride and the whims of the nafs, they were bound to the world and rebellious against Allah Almighty, when a prophet came inviting them to the truth, this people, because of its enmity to Allah, not giving up the forbidden things it would consume in the pleasures of its nafs, denied some of Allah's messengers and killed some. Did they think what they did would go unanswered? Allah Almighty, by His attribute of being the Judge of judges, in the face of the wrongs people do, punishes people both in this world by giving them calamities, and in the hereafter the harshest of punishment is these.

Calamities and punishments in the world pass, but the punishments of the abode of the hereafter are not temporary. Yes.
