Translation

They had thought that no calamity would strike them, and they became blind and deaf. After this, Allah accepted their repentance. After this, most among them became blind and deaf. Allah sees what they are doing.

Tafsir

The Jews thought that they could get away with these atrocities. Because they denied some of the prophets and killed some of them, because they said that we are the sons of Allah, and because they considered themselves superhuman, Allah (swt) gave them many calamities. They were bewildered by these calamities. They fell into captivity in Babylon. For a long time they lived a miserable life under the rule of Nasser Buhtun. Then, through their repentance and the grace of Allah (swt), someone else took possession of Bayt al-Maqdis. The Jews were freed from captivity.

They returned to their homeland. They continued to worship Allah and repented. Allah accepted their repentance. He provided them with abundant blessings. Again in these blessings, they forgot the calamities that had befallen them by continuing their rebellion. The slaughter of forty thousand Jews during the time of al-Bukhti Nusser and the slaughter of forty thousand Jews by those who came after him were forgotten by them and they again rebelled against Allah. They slaughtered the Prophets Zakariyya and Yahya. They continued to eat haram and interest. Allah gave them many calamities again. They were subjected to mass slaughter and captivity by many people in history. This is the punishment Allah (swt) gave them in this world for their disbelief in Allah. And in the Hereafter it is an eternal fire.

Allah sees all that is done. He is All-Seeing, He encompasses all beings and all eyes (He sees and is within His scope), but no eye can comprehend and perceive Him while in this world. For this reason, nothing remains hidden or covered in the sight of Allah.

What is said in the video

We can get through, we can get through (?) — no calamity will come, they thought. Who? The Jews, in their insolence, with their rebellion against Allah Almighty — no misfortune will come to us, no calamity will happen, they thought, and they became blind and deaf. That is a verse Allah Almighty spoke in a figurative sense. Now we will open these up. They did not actually become blind and deaf. That is, they did not become unable to hear speech, unable to hear the words of (?), nor with eyes closed. Blind and deaf: blind, not seeing the truth before the truth; deaf, with ears blocked to the word of truth — the deaf. Yes, a verse spoken in a figurative sense: they became blind and deaf. Then Allah accepted their repentance.

See, so afterwards He accepted their repentance. So it is said figuratively, and they are not literally blind and deaf. Then many of them became blind and deaf. That is, they reverted to that old state again. They set out to rebel against Allah. Allah sees what they do, it says. As for Allah, He sees what is done anyway. Now, the wrongs the Jews committed — these wrongs — they thought would go unpunished. With their denying some of the prophets and killing some, with their saying, "We are the sons of Allah," with their regarding themselves as superhuman, Allah Almighty gave them very great calamities.

Of course they regard themselves as superhuman.

If they cannot understand Allah's verses, what can they say? We have, over the worlds, sir, made you superior. Above the worlds We made you superior. Our people too, those poor souls, this verse — well, at that time in such-and-such a place there were peoples, and they were superior to them, and — since Allah does not discriminate among His servants — He created His servants superior to one another.

If they cannot grasp the meanings of these verses, of course, bewildered, bewildered, like a bewildered duck, they will interpret the verses, and people will talk this way. Whereas His saying "We made you superior over the worlds" means: by being created as human beings, by being created as the noblest of creatures, above all the created worlds we were created. Not only the Jewish nation — all people. All people. And man He creates as the most honored above the worlds. Because He gives him of His spirit. But if that person does not conform to that spirit, to that purpose of creation, does not fit it, as long as the ego, pride, arrogance, grandeur, fame and glory in him continue, they are like the four-legged animals on earth, it says.

Indeed, even more astray.

So in this case, if people misunderstand themselves, the verses, and set out to speak this way, and they, of course, themselves "Allah's sons" (?). "Allah's close ones" (?). May Allah protect us.

With their saying "the sons of Allah," with their regarding themselves as superhuman, Allah Almighty gave them very great calamities. To the Jews. They were bewildered by these calamities. Bewildered. So they had become blind and deaf. Amid those calamities they were bewildered. They fell into captivity in Babylon. For a long time they lived in humiliation under the rule of Nebuchadnezzar. Under Nebuchadnezzar's command, a commander takes Babylon. And under the rule of that Nebuchadnezzar they live a humiliated life. Then 40,000 Jews are massacred.

They fell into captivity in Babylon. For a long time they lived a life of humiliation under the rule of Nebuchadnezzar. Then, with their repentance and by the grace and generosity of Allah Almighty, Bayt al-Maqdis was taken by someone else. The Jews were freed from captivity. So Nebuchadnezzar — when another commander came, another commander, Nebuchadnezzar's Babylon takes. And they are freed from captivity. They are freed, and they continue worshipping Allah, but after a while they again go astray. Look what it says. They returned to their homeland. Continuing to worship Allah, they held to tawhid.

What was Allah Almighty saying? They thought no calamity would come. Well, that calamity came. And they became blind and deaf in Babylon. Then Allah accepted their repentance. That is, when they repented to Allah Almighty, that Babylon is taken by another commander, and they are freed from captivity. From captivity. Then many of them became blind and deaf. They turn back again to blindness and deafness. (?) is turning now. They returned to their homeland. Continuously worshipping Allah, they made repentance. Allah, Allah too accepted their repentance. He brought them to abundant blessings. Again, continuing their transgression amid these blessings, the calamities that befell them they forgot. The calamities that befell them.

Yes, the next generation forgets the punishment, the calamity the past generation suffered very quickly. The reason, the reason is that the past generation, the past generation, its own offspring while raising: "Oh, may our children not suffer what we suffered. Oh, may our children not grieve as we grieved. Oh, let them not break their sleep" — and if they raise them unaware of Allah, then the next generation, in this way, quickly becomes corrupt. It becomes corrupt. Isn't it like that with us too? Don't break the child's morning sleep, don't wake him for prayer. He's still a child now. Still a child.

And then? He'll learn the Quran himself later. Let this child go to school now; he'll pray later on. Let him first earn his living. This is how they distanced children from religion. The inheritance that was their most precious trust, to their children they could not grant. They begrudged it to them. They begrudged it to those children. In fact, that compassion of his, his compassion toward his child, will increase his punishment — he is not aware of it. He is not aware that it will increase that mother's and father's punishment. Yes. They are not aware that it will increase both the child's and those parents' punishment; (?). That is why you fulfill Allah's command, you fulfill it; the other's lot is within his own destiny.

He brought them to abundant blessings. Again, continuing in transgression amid these blessings, the calamities that befell them they forgot. In the time of (?), the taking of Bayt al-Muqaddas, and by people after him the massacre of 40,000 Jews — they themselves forgot it, and again rebelled against Allah. They killed the prophets Zechariah and John. They went on consuming forbidden things and interest. Allah again gave them many calamities. In history, remaining under the (?) of many people, they suffered mass massacres. In return for their denying Allah, it is the punishment Allah Almighty gave this people in the world; in the abode of the hereafter, it is a fire that (?).

Finally, Hitler gathering the Jews, putting them on a ship, and in the middle of the sea sinking it. Allah sees all that is done; He is al-Basir. He encompasses all beings and eyes; He sees, and they are within His reach. But no eye in the world can, with perception, encompass and perceive Allah Almighty. Therefore, in Allah's sight nothing hidden and closed remains concealed. Yes.
