Will they still not ask for repentance from Allah and desire to be forgiven by Allah? Allah is Ghafoor (Forgiving) and Raheem (the One who very generously accepts repentance).
Tafsir
After all these proofs, will they not turn to the Essence of Allah and ask for forgiveness? Every human being is fallible and may run on deviant and crooked paths until he learns the truth. But turning back to ourselves as human beings and understanding what we are leads us to the existence of the truth, that there is no God but Allah.
So, if we use our minds to repent for the sins we have committed and the darkness of shirk we are in, Allah will surely forgive us, for He is Tawwab and accepts repentance. It is unworthy of Allah that He should not forgive those who repent to Him.
Allah is all-forgiving, merciful, forgiving and gracious. He loves people so much that He expects them to return to Him. Allah forgives the sins of those who return to Him, those who repent and ask for forgiveness, and those who promise not to return to the swamp of sin and crooked paths, and He also changes their sins into rewards. In one of the holy hadiths it is stated that even if your sins reach the clouds in the sky, Allah will change your sins into good deeds when you repent with a sincere heart. Do not despair of Allah, only the disbelievers despair of Allah.
What is said in the video
Yes.
Verse 74. Will they still not repent to Allah and ask Him for forgiveness? Still. Good. Allah Almighty is giving a warning. What does He say? Will they still not repent to Allah and ask Him for forgiveness? Allah is Most Forgiving, forgiving, Most Merciful, He says. That is, “yarlığayıcı” means forgiving. Allah is Most Forgiving, pardoning, and Most Merciful. He forgives much. Yes, our Lord. After so many periods, will they not turn to Allah's Being and ask for forgiveness? Will they not ask for forgiveness? Every person errs, makes mistakes. Until he learns the truth, he may run on deviant, crooked paths.
But as human beings, turning to ourselves and understanding what we are leads us to the existence of the Truth, to there being no god but Allah – when you turn to yourself. What does Yunus Emre say too? Knowledge, knowledge is (?). Knowledge is knowing oneself. If you do not know yourself, what kind of knowledge is this, he says. Just so. What is knowing oneself? Knowing the existence of Allah Almighty, knowing that He is the owner of the universe, knowing that He is the creator of all these worlds, knowing that as a human you were created by your Lord, knowing that you are His servant, and being able to do what He says.
This is the person who knows himself. Yes.
Turning to ourselves and understanding what we are leads us to the existence of the Truth, to there being no god but Allah. So if, using our reason, for the sins we have committed and the shirk we are in – its darkness – if we repent, if we repent, since Allah is Tawwab and accepts repentance, He will surely forgive us. It does not befit Allah's majesty that the one who repents to Him, who repents, He would not forgive. This does not befit Allah's majesty. Why does it not befit Him? Let's open this up a little too. There is no god but Allah. None. There is no other door to go to besides Allah, either.
None. Allah Almighty – all that He created are Allah's servants; Allah created His servants without discriminating among them. True. In that case Allah also created people deficient. True. You know, He says: if you had committed mistakes, We (?) you, and servants who commit mistakes We would have created. This too is true. So in the period of ignorance, with our being created deficient, with our committing mistakes, we may have wandered on swampy and dark paths. In that case, when we come to our senses, when you know the truth: O Allah, I was mistaken. I lived through a period of ignorance. I lived through a period of childhood.
My Lord, I have no door to enter but Yours. You are my owner. I have repented of what I did. I have turned back and come to Your door. With firm resolve, I have repented. That is, decisively: confessed with my tongue and affirmed with my heart. I will not go down these paths again. I will not do these evils. I will continue to worship You. When you say this, and if you continue like this, perhaps you will enter among Allah's saintly servants. Yes.
Look what Yunus Emre says. Under every stone lies a saint, he says. Under every stone lies a saint.
Let me try to open up that meaning to you a little.
We say it constantly. People say it too. In Allah's sight, the first thing you will be asked: did you pray? If you prayed, (?), say the questions. Did you pray? Now, more or less, a person who always prays – more or less, I say, listen well – a person who always prays is like being in the state of a saint. is like the state of a saint. Rare ones excepted. That is, the rare ones here: those whom praying does not benefit, who still continue their evil – they are excepted. And what does the Prophet say in a hadith? These all confirm each other anyway. If the worship you do keeps you from evil, (?).
That is, you cleanse yourself of that evil: my Lord, I pray. “This does not befit me” – did you say that and cleanse yourself of evils? Most of those who pray that prayer in that way are in the state of a saint. So: under every stone lies a saint, he says. One day I watched this through an opening of unveiling. That's why I say it. Everyone who prayed was more or less in the state of a saint of his Lord. Everyone who prays. That's why they give such value to prayer. Don't you give it value, Hodja? The people of old gave it value. Since we follow in their footsteps, we too give it great value. If we didn't value it, would we explain it like this?
Would we ever explain it like this? Yes, we do value it. We want you to value it too. We want you to pray. Yes. Prayer brings a person peace. Yes.
Allah is Most Forgiving – that is, compassionate, forgiving – and Most Merciful. Since He loves people very much, He waits for them to turn to Him. Those who turn to Him, who repent and ask forgiveness, who promise never again to return to the swamp of sin and crooked paths – Allah Almighty forgives their sins and moreover changes them into good deeds.
In a hadith qudsi – in one hadith qudsi: even if your sins reached the clouds in the sky, when you repent with a (?) heart, Allah changes your sins into good deeds – so says the Prophet (peace be upon him). Do not lose hope in Allah. Only the disbelievers lose hope in Allah. Yes. Yes. So man is a very honourable, very beautifully created being. Of the universe, the noblest of creation. The most honourable of created beings. So that he can preserve that honourable place, Allah Almighty's verse we will take refuge in again. Honour and glory are with Allah, it says. How beautifully it says it. If honour and glory are with Allah, Allah Almighty created man the most honourable and most beautiful in the universe; with that person taking a place near His Being, under the roof of His Being, they too become owners of glory and honour.
