Translation

Say; “Oh people of the book! Do not transgress in your religion unjustly. Do not follow a group that has gone astray before, has made many go astray and moves (others) away from the straight path.

Tafsir

Allah (swt) addressed His Messenger Muhammad (pbuh) to the People of the Book and said: Do not exceed the limits in your religion unjustly. Do not deny the religion of Islam and Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), the last Prophet sent by Allah (swt), the Prophet of Hatemen (peace be upon him), by making changes in the Books, while the Books in their hands have the form of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) written in them.

Do not follow the people who have strayed from the right path before and have led others astray. With this verse Allah commands people to use their own minds, O people! Do not try to justify yourselves on the Day of Judgment tomorrow by saying that I found these people or my ancestors on this path. As every human being is responsible for himself, Allah warns people with verses according to the Verse (He does not hold anyone responsible for anything that He does not announce), and says, "Do not turn your backs on Allah by associating with people who are pleasing to your ego.

People who deviate from the path of Allah wish that they may lead astray those who believe in Allah, and satisfy their own souls by making sinful people like themselves. O you who believe, do not wrong your souls by following such people.

We shall also continue with verse 77. Meanwhile, you can post your questions to the question board. Say: O People of the Book, do not exceed the bounds in your religion unjustly. Yes.

Now, Hodja, here, if their religion were not a religion, would Allah Almighty say: Say, O People of the Book, do not exceed the bounds in your religion unjustly? Look: do not exceed the bounds in your religion unjustly. So they too have a religion. Here. Do not follow a people who went astray before, who led many astray and led them away from the right path, it says. In that case, here Allah Almighty, is He not saying that they have a religion?

He is not saying that.

Why not? We will prove it.

Say: O People of the Book, do not exceed the bounds in your religion unjustly.

(?) in the Torah that we sent to you, in the Psalms and in the Gospel: when a prophet is sent to you, that prophet you shall follow.

In your own books, in your own books,

that the description of Muhammad (peace be upon him) is there, all people, all people, that the originals of the books in their hands are in the Holy Quran, and that if, other than the Holy Quran, another book you follow, you will never have a religion. Because in their own books, the Prophet's being the Seal of the Prophets [is written]. Allah Almighty declares that they will follow him. When He says do not (?) unjustly, do not deny this and enter Islam at once, He says. Look. Say: O People of the Book, do not exceed the bounds in your religion unjustly. So do not hide the description of Muhammad.

And do not deny the word of Allah Almighty, sent to the worlds in the Holy Quran, He says.

Because their religions too (?). It was valid in its time. In its time. When the Prophet came as a mercy to the worlds, the three books, together with the fourth, were gathered in the Quran. And by sending the Holy Quran as a guide and light for all mankind to all people, and the Prophet, the greatest of people, to them — those are the ones who in their religion unjustly exceeded the bounds. They hid the Prophet's description and did not believe in him. They denied him because he did not come from among them. They denied the verses of the Quran. Thus they exceeded the bounds in their religion unjustly.

I suppose it is understood, inshallah.

Allah Almighty, having His Beloved Muhammad (peace be upon him) address the People of the Book: Say, do not exceed the bounds in your religion unjustly. While in the book in your hands the form of Muhammad (peace be upon him) is written, do not, by altering the book, deny the religion of Islam and the last prophet sent by Allah Almighty, the Seal of the Prophets, Muhammad (peace be upon him). Yes.

Do not follow peoples who before also led astray people (?) on the right path. With this verse Allah commands people to use their own reason: O people, tomorrow, on the Day of Judgement, saying 'I found these people or my forefathers on this path', do not try to clear your selves. Just as every person is responsible for himself, for nothing that has not been heard does Allah hold anyone responsible. According to this verse, warning people with the verses: do not befriend people pleasing to your nafs and (?) Allah. (?)

People who stray from Allah's path want to lead those who say Allah, who believe, astray from their path as well. A person caught up in an inferiority complex. A person who today uses hashish and heroin wants there to be people like him who use hashish and heroin, to keep him company. A gambler wants to find friends like himself. He wants to find people who gamble. So these people too, because they have compromised on Allah, because they have turned their backs on Allah, want there to be people like themselves. Someone to support them. Why? Because he knows he is writhing under a burden of sin.

He knows his heart is restless and scattered. He knows he is in torment. He is looking for a friend who will (?) this torment and keep him company. Yes. People who stray from Allah's path want to lead those who say Allah, who believe, astray from their path too, and by making them sinners like themselves, to satisfy their own nafs. So, O you who believe! Do not, by following such people, become wrongdoers with your nafs, we say.
