There are some from the Bedouins around you and from the people of Madina who gained skills in hypocrisy. You won’t know them, but We know them. We will punish them twice and then they will be driven to a great punishment.
Tafsir
Among the Bedouins around them and among the people of Medina, there are some people who are skilled hypocrites, so much so that Muslims cannot recognize them as hypocrites. In order not to reveal their hypocrisy, they are careful to the last detail and try not to give any indication that they are hypocrites. With this behavior of theirs, you cannot separate them from Islam. But We know them very well. When Allah makes a covenant with people and writes their destiny for them, He knows what each person will do in life and what will pass through his heart. That is why Allah is the Best Knower.
Allah (swt) says: "We will torment them twice, and then they will be driven to a great torment"; the meaning of twice torment here is the torment they will suffer during their life in this world. The first of these is their despicable and miserable life in captivity or in deserts and among people. The second torment is the torment of the grave. Then, when they pass on to the Hereafter, they will be dragged to the great torment of Hell. What is meant by being dragged here is that when they are reckoned with and deprived of Allah's mercy, and when they see the torment of Hell and resist not to enter Hell, they will be dragged to Hell by those in charge.
What is said in the video
Surah At-Tawbah, in verse 101: Among the Bedouin Arabs around you and the people of Medina there are some hypocrites who have become skilled in hypocrisy, it says. What does this mean, becoming skilled in hypocrisy? That is, they speak so beautifully with their tongues that when they come to you, you say there is no better Muslim than this. they talk to you so nicely, (?) and in a way that wins your heart. But at heart they are so hostile to people, to the Muslim, that when they leave you, out of their rancor they (?) bite their fingers. Yes. You do not know them, it says to the Prophet. By saying it to him, it is of course saying it to us.
We know them. We will punish them twice. Then they will be driven to a great torment. Now, Allah Almighty, as I said earlier, does no injustice. There is also where He says: We will inflict torment on them twice. This torment – if people do not understand, they attribute qualities to Allah. You know, they say Allah Almighty: in return for what you have earned (?). You know, Allah Almighty: We would give nothing to anyone beyond what you earned. True. Why does it say twice in this verse? Now we will explain them. Allah Almighty says: We will punish them twice. One: through His attribute of justice, the torment in return for what he did in the world.
Torment. The torment in return for what he did in the world. The second, when he passes on to the hereafter, that is, when he dies – for which we say about such people that he croaked. When he croaks, the torment of the grave.
(?) the torment of punishment. Both in the world His justice will be manifested, and in the grave there is torment. And where is the greatest one? The greatest, that is, the real torment, where is it? When we are resurrected in the hereafter, Allah Almighty calls us to account, and those thrown into Hell – Allah protect us. May Allah protect us from them. When they are thrown into Hell, they will suffer the real torment there. Yes. They will suffer that great torment there.
Among the Bedouins around them and the people of Medina there were people so skilled in hypocrisy that the Muslims could not tell they were hypocrites. As I said. These people speak so beautifully. You feel like embracing them as (?) a fine Muslim. That is how they have become skilled in hypocrisy.
So as not to reveal their hypocrisy, paying attention down to the finest point, they try not to give any sign that they are hypocrites.
So, with this behavior of theirs, you cannot tell them apart from Islam. But We, the Glorious, know them very well. When Allah made a covenant with people and wrote their wishes for them as their destiny, He knew what every person would do in life, what would pass through their heart; it is for this reason that Allah knows best. Yes. Allah Almighty knows best.
If we do this from here like this. Yes. Even better.
Allah Almighty: We will punish them twice. Then they will be driven to a great torment.
The meaning of the twofold torment here is the torments they will meet during their lives in the world. We said it. We said it is the torment Allah Almighty will inflict on these hypocrites in the world through His attribute of justice. Yes.
They are the torments they will meet during their lives in the world. The first of these is their living constantly in captivity or, in the deserts, among people in contempt and humiliation. Their second torment is the torment of the grave. Then, when they pass on to the hereafter, to that great torment, the torment of Hell, they will be dragged. Being dragged here means that, when their account is taken and they remain deprived of Allah's mercy, and, seeing the torment of Hell, they resist entering Hell, they are dragged into Hell by those in charge. So says Allah Almighty. When they realize, it says, that they will be thrown into Hell, their eyes, it says, like sky blue, it says, shoot upward.
Like sky blue. Yes. And they, it says, throw themselves face down on the ground, it says. We call the Zabaniya for them. The Zabaniya. They seize them by their forelocks, it says, and through a narrow gate of Hell We have them thrown in, it says. Yes, verses. The verses of Allah. Yes. Our Lord tells us what will happen, what will happen.
