Tafsir
Those who did not participate in the battle of Tabuk were divided into three groups. The first group is those who made hypocrisy a habit for themselves. The second group are those who repented after realizing the bad deed they had done, confessed their sins, expressed their sorrow and sacrificed their property for this cause. The third group are those who are in doubt. Among them are those who will return to their covenant and obey.
Another group of those who did not take part in the expedition were left to the command of Allah. Since there is no Turkish equivalent for this verse, this is the only meaning that can be given to it. We will try to explain this verse to you in the commentary.
They were left to the will of Allah, those who did not participate in the expedition to Tabuk, but among them there were people who did not repent but were struggling with themselves in such a way that they would repent at any time. They are hesitating and doubting whether to repent or not. But because they do not repent because their faith is overpowering, they are in a constant depression.
This is a Verse that can be interpreted to mean that when they repent, they will return to the original, that is, they will be granted Allah's forgiveness by their obedient covenant with Allah (in Kalubala), and that although they mixed good deeds with bad deeds in the world, they will be granted Allah's forgiveness by repenting in the end, and that their repentance will be accepted when they return of their own volition.
One hundred and eighteen verses of Surat al-Tawbah were revealed about them. It describes those among them who repented and returned to Islam. That Verse will be explained to you when it comes. This is related to the Holy Qur'an.
Allah knows those who will repent and those who will be tormented. For Allah is All-knowing and All-wise.
What is said in the video
We are moving on to our lesson. Verse 106 of Surah At-Tawbah is one of the wrongly interpreted verses; it says — Allah Almighty's command — we are presenting the wrong one. Of those who did not join the campaign, that is, of those who sat with those who stayed home, another group too has been left to Allah's command. Another group has been left to Allah's command. He either punishes them or accepts their repentance. That is, Allah Almighty, what He wills, that is, here He will either punish or accept their repentance. Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise — of course He is Knowing. Its original is this: Of those who did not join the campaign, another group too has been left to Allah's command. Yes. Then: those who will repent and those who will be punished are clear to Allah.
Who will repent? And who will not repent? This is clear within Allah Almighty's power of knowledge.
What are we saying? Another group too has been left to Allah's command.
Those who will repent and those who will be punished are clear to Allah. Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise. Those who will repent — He will accept their repentance. Those left to Allah's command. For since He judges with justice from His essence, since He does not will injustice to those people, He will accept the repentance of those who repent. For Allah Almighty is At-Tawwab. He is the One who greatly accepts repentance. And those who do not repent, He will punish in return for their sins. That is, those who do not enter the religion of Islam, in the eternal fire of Hell — what an evil place of return it is — will remain subject to punishment.
Those who did not join the battle in the Tabuk campaign were divided into 3 groups. The first group: those who made hypocrisy their habit. The second group: these, realizing the bad thing they had done, after confessing their sins, repented. They are those who expressed their sorrow and sacrificed their wealth for this cause. The third group are those who are in doubt. Among them there are also those who will return to their covenant and obey. They will return to their covenant and obey. Although they are in doubt, among them there are those who will return to their covenant. So, of those who did not join the campaign, another group too has been left to Allah's command.
Since there is no Turkish equivalent for this verse, only a meaning like this is given. We had said: when interpreting it, we will try to explain this verse to you. Left to Allah's command. The verse has no Turkish equivalent at all. But within their destinies they will repent. You know, those people we said were among them, certainly within Allah Almighty's knowledge. Within His knowledge. Yes.
When interpreting it, we say, we will try to explain this verse to you. They have been left to Allah's command. Those who did not join the Tabuk campaign. But among them, while not repenting, there are people who struggle with themselves, ready to repent at any moment. That is, in doubt, wondering whether it is right or wrong. The person who will decide for himself — (?) — by the decisions he will make will earn reward and sin. They are hesitant and in doubt between repenting and not repenting. But when the side of faith prevails, since they have not repented, they are constantly in a (?). So when these repent, returning to their origin, that is, since at Qalu Bala they too gave Allah Almighty a covenant as obedient ones, in the world too, however much they mixed good deeds with bad deeds — they mixed good deeds with bad deeds. So what is a good deed?
It is entering the religion of Islam and submitting to Allah Almighty's command. It is a good deed. What is a bad deed? Rebelling against Allah Almighty and going against His commands. This is a bad deed. They mixed good and bad. They were with those who sat. But later, as a result of the good covenant they gave Allah Almighty at the address "Alastu bi Rabbikum", they will return to their covenant. Yes. Though they mixed good deeds with bad deeds, that in the end, by repenting, they will attain Allah's forgiveness, that when they return by their own will their repentance will be accepted — in this way it is a verse that can be given a translation.
The verse of which we said "they have been left to Allah's command" can only be opened up like this, since it has no Turkish equivalent. About them, in Surah At-Tawbah, 118, a verse was also revealed. It explains those of them who return to Islam again by repenting of their deeds. When we come to that verse, it will be explained to you. It is related to these verses. Which verse is this? Verse 118. What does it say, in verse 118?
Yes.
And of the three who were left behind from the campaign, He also accepted the repentance. He also accepted the repentance of the three. Despite its vastness, the earth had become narrow for them. Their consciences had pressed on them more and more. Finally they had understood that from Allah, from His punishment, there was no other way but (?) to Allah again; they had understood it. Then, when they returned to their former state, Allah accepted their repentance. For Allah greatly accepts repentance and is most merciful. This is verse 118 of Surah At-Tawbah. Yes.
So Allah knows those who will repent and those who will be punished. Allah is the One who knows everything best. And He is All-Wise. That is, what He does and why, and how He deals [with them], Allah knows best. Because He is the Creator.
