The bounties of the heavens and the earth belong to Allah. Allah resurrects, Allah gives death. There is no true friend or helper for you other than Allah.
Tafsir
This verse means: It declares that there is no other God besides Allah, that all created beings, the heavens and the earth, were created by the One God, and that the right to dispose of His property belongs to Allah, and that He has neither a partner nor a likeness.
Since Allah alone is the Creator of death and life, since creation, i.e. creation out of nothing, belongs to Allah, since the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, belongs to Allah, since Allah alone kills and resurrects, since there is no other God but Him, since all creation is in need of Allah, and Allah is the Giver of life to all His creation with the attribute of Life and is not in need, then man has no friend or helper except Him.
Accordingly, Allah (swt) informs people that if they turn away from Allah and deny the Hereafter, such people will have no helper or intercessor, and they will be wasting their own souls.
In every verse, Allah (swt) clearly declares His existence to mankind. The fact that people still do not turn to their Lord in the face of such clear miracles and persistently oppose Allah (swt) means that they will be deprived of Allah's mercy and will be subjected to the eternal torment of Hell, while those who are with Allah (swt) will enjoy all kinds of mercy and blessings, and that there is no power other than Allah (swt) that can provide this for people.
In this verse, Allah (swt) clearly informs us that those people who have intellect have no other interest but to be with Allah, while those who turn away from Allah will be unjust to their own souls.
What is said in the video
The dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs to Allah alone. Yes, the dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs to Allah alone. What is meant by this verse is that there is no other god besides Allah, that all created beings, the heavens and the earth, were created by that One God, that the right to dispose of the dominion belongs to Allah, and that He has neither a partner nor a like — this is what it states. We haven't read you the verse.
It says: the dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs to Allah alone. The dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs to Allah alone. He gives life and causes death. For you, besides Allah, there is neither a friend nor a helper — for us. Yes. So the dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs to Allah alone. Because it is Allah Almighty who created the universe from nothing. This verse also confirms the following verse. Or do you, of your world, own so much as the sprout of a seed? If that were so, it says — that is, do you own the sprout of a seed? If that were so, you would not be given anything of your world, not even as much as the sprout of that seed, it says.
In this case, that people and created beings cannot create anything, that the ownership of these created things belongs only to Allah, and that with His art of creation, in a way that gives life to what He created, (?) the world and (?) around each other, and by equipping the world so that people can meet their own needs, by His creating the galaxies and stars in the sky, creating each within a cause with knowledge — all this visible creation, the heavens and the earth, and what is between them, encircled by the Throne of Allah — this sovereignty belongs to Allah. Because He created it. So what is meant by this verse is that there is no other god besides Allah, that all created beings, the heavens and the earth, were created by that One God, that the right of disposal in His dominion belongs to Allah — the right of disposal in His dominion belongs to Allah.
Yes. and that He has neither a partner nor a like — this is what it states. So if He has the right of disposal in His dominion, the right of disposal. This is a deep subject. I will touch on it a little. What I just said was the last few words. I will try to explain it to you. Because it won't be foreign to you. Since you have been listening to me for quite a while, you will understand it much better. Yes.
Because Allah Almighty gave man a part of His spirit, because He gave man great values in his essence, He created him as the vicegerent of the dominion. And the disposal of the dominion — when I say dominion, I mean the world. He also gave the right of disposal over the world into man's hands.
Disposal in His dominion belongs to Allah. But He gives authority in His dominion to man, whom He loves very much. Whatever you want in this world, He gives into your right of disposal. With rules. For example, a state has its own laws. Without going outside the laws, people benefit from all that state's assets. In the same way, Allah Almighty has given (?) all beings into people's disposal. In this case, man attains very great value in his Lord's sight. If he can know himself, of course. Himself. Yes.
that He has neither a partner nor a like — this is what it states. What is a partner? The partnership of two people. It is partnership. But since He has no partner in creation, the One who subsists by Himself, the one Lord who creates, the Creator, is Allah. Yes. When we say 'like' — 'like' here, this 'like', they have distorted. Just as in Surah Al-A'raf, verse 172, Elestü bi Rabbiküm — 'Am I not your Lord?' — they distorted it as 'am I not'? That 'am I not' is a very heavy word. Allah, starting His creatures from the atom, will be the owner of the creation of those people's souls, and those people will deny the One before them who created them.
What are you denying? Didn't I create you, He will say. May Allah protect us. But people's creation is all at once. In this case too, (?). I created you — as your Lord says. Here too, when we say 'nor a like', they have distorted it here too. Far be it — He is free of form. Nothing resembles Him. A being like that, they say. Yet our Lord describes Himself so beautifully. I gave man of My spirit, He says. If man has His spirit, if he has that part of it, then there is likeness. The spirit (?) — very little knowledge has been given about it. Yes. That is, how the spirit was created, how it came into being by itself — its secret belongs to Allah alone.
Yes. In that case, when we say 'like', since He gave a part of His spirit, since the universal spirit is Allah Almighty — when you say that, again some people, when you say 'universal spirit', say he is attributing qualities to Allah. Of course we are not attributing qualities to Allah. We are describing Allah in the most beautiful way. Not according to my own reason — I am not inventing it now. If He says 'I gave man of My spirit', if He says 'I gave man of My spirit', if from His spirit billions of people were created, it means its whole is Allah's (?). It's this simple. It's this simple, really.
Who is attributing qualities to Allah now? Yes, (?) in this case. If He gave man of His spirit, man is very honored. If all disposal of the dominion belongs to Allah Almighty alone, if disposal of the dominion belongs to Allah alone,
if He gave a part to the human being to whom He gave of His spirit, by giving man the right of disposal in that part's dominion, He makes known that He holds man as an addressee of His Essence. Well, He created man precisely to hold him as an addressee of His Essence. He created him to see His Essence in his essence. In this case, of course there is likeness. In fact, He describes His Essence like this. About those idols, to those who worship idols: do they have feet to walk with? Do they have tongues to speak with? Do they have eyes that see? Do they have ears that hear? Do they have hands that hold? What do they have, He says.
What do they have? What more should Allah Almighty say? What more should He say — as Noah's ship sailed among those waves, it was before Our eyes, He says. And since He says 'however man imagines Me, that is what I am' — since He says 'that is what I am' — according to this verse, do these things I say contradict it?
Yes. The broadcast is on, isn't it, I hope? On my side it looks like it's gone.
Yes. It's on, it's on, it's on. The broadcast is on. The broadcast is on.
In this case, if Allah Almighty gave man of His spirit, there is likeness. This likeness — when we say 'nor a like', there is likeness, but since He gave of His spirit, 'neither a — neither a friend' yes when we say 'neither a partner nor a like', there is likeness, but the meaning of likeness here is this. You know, we said people distorted it. The meaning of likeness here is this. people are scholars, an ignorant person plays the scholar next to a scholar. Come on, are you my equal, says the scholar. Exactly so. Are you my equal? You know — are you my like? Or have you risen to my level, according to the work I do at my level, you those works, like me, the works I do — you do my work as I do it, as my like?
This as Creator. That is the meaning of 'like' here. Allah Almighty is the Creator. Come on, if you resemble Me, go ahead and create that. Come on, if you resemble me, go ahead and create this, a person would say. That is the 'like' here that they have distorted. Otherwise, man is one-to-one the likeness of his Lord. (?). A part. But in need of Allah's Essence, not privy to the secret of creation, created in helplessness,
by our Lord's attribute al-Hayy, as life-giver, as giving life to people, he is a being created to find life through your Lord. Yes. He is a being created by our Lord. In this case I can give you one more example. You know, when they say: this man likens himself to Allah — since Allah Almighty is at the summit of the art of creation, since Allah Almighty has created no being nobler than man whom He created — what does He say? I created man in the most beautiful form, He says — man. And if He took His Beloved as a mirror to His Essence, if from his light He created the universe, and then gave him of His spirit — together with two likenesses.
If Allah Almighty does not resemble man, if the most beautiful forms and attributes belong to Allah, to Allah Almighty, then it means He could not create a being worthy of His most beautiful form and attribute. For example, among created beings, people are the noblest of creation. There are cats, dogs, bears, whatnot, (?), all creatures. Well, may the comparison not be taken amiss.
Let's say I am a creator. I am looking for a counterpart suited to me. I couldn't create one. Like a cat or a dog, or like a gazelle, or like a roe deer, I created a being. I talk with it, I address it. Would that befit Allah's glory?
Even man takes his own child, his own kind, as his counterpart. Man. All creatures, among their own kind, live with themselves, with their own group. And Allah Almighty, with the people to whom He gave a part of His Essence, lives intertwined. Intertwined.
Perhaps you cannot grasp the meaning of this. A question may come to your mind: did he bring Allah into the world, fit Him into it? There is a saying by İbrahim Fakirullah. I was seeking the beloved; He turned out to be the soul within the soul. Yes, (?) since those realms. That is why man must know himself and not put his finger on subjects he does not know. And although I explain so much with our Lord's attributes that resemble man, (?), with comparisons, with examples, still — Allah Almighty, who will not fit into minds, who does not fit into my mind either —
if someone says about me 'he attributes qualities to Allah, he talks like this', he shows that he does not understand the verses, he exposes his own deficiency; if he asks about the subject he did not understand, I will explain, I will explain in the light of the verses. Yes.
So He has neither a partner — that is, a partner He would (?) need in creation — nor a like who would help Him, a helper: this is what it tells us. On that Day anyway, it says. On that Day. Judgment belongs to Allah alone. On that Day. Judgment belongs to Allah alone. Which day? At the Great Tribunal. Eleysallahu bi ahkemi'l-hâkimîn. As the Judge of judges, on that Day judgment is Allah's alone. So, there is neither a partner of His nor, beside Him, to advise Him, a like, a (?). So, since He has neither a (?) nor a like, He, as the Judge of judges at the Great Tribunal, when He calls people to account, wise in His judgment, with justice, what each earned, as the return of his own two hands, will pay him in full — so
Allah, without needing anyone, subsisting by Himself, has neither a partner nor a like. Yes. He alone gives life and causes death. Because He is the One able to create and to annihilate, to cause death, again to bring forth the living from the dead, the dead from the living, the One whose knowledge belongs to Allah alone — a God, a Lord. Yes. Since He created death and life, since creating — that is, bringing into being from nothing — belongs to Allah alone, since all His creations, the heavens and the earth, and also what is between them, are Allah's, since Allah alone causes death and gives life, since there is no god but Him, since all created things need Allah, while Allah gives life to all His creatures through His attribute al-Hayy and has no need, therefore people have neither a friend nor a helper besides Him.
Yes.
Accordingly, since people turn their faces away from Allah — turn away — and deny the hereafter, that such people will have neither helpers nor intercessors, that to them Allah Almighty — that in the hereafter they will harm their own selves — Allah Almighty makes this known to people. In every verse Allah Almighty openly declares His existence to people. Since people, in the face of such clear miracles, still do not turn back to their Lord and persistently oppose Allah Almighty, it states that as a result they will be deprived of Allah's mercy and remain (?) eternal punishment in Hell; and along with stating that they will remain subject to this eternal life in Hell, it states that those who are with Allah will (?) every kind of mercy and blessing, and that besides Allah there is no power that could provide this to people.
In this case, this conclusion emerges, as we feel it. Just as these people, who are (?), have no interest other than being with Allah, those who turn away from Allah will be (?) against their own selves — clearly and plainly Allah Almighty tells us this in this verse too.
Yes.
