Allah calls Allah’s servants to the dwelling of peace; those who desire will enter Allah’s right path.
Tafsir
Allah (swt) loves people so much that He calls them to the abode of peace. He has placed the will in the hands of people. Allah has shown them the right and the wrong paths. In a way that every mind can understand, the Holy Qur'an, by bringing examples to people and appealing to their intellect, explains that Allah's existence is true and that those who disbelieve in Him will go to hell, while those who believe in Allah and the Last Day will reach the abode of peace, i.e. Paradise.
In this verse, He invites people to the land of peace, away from all kinds of calamities and troubles, and invites them to peace and paradise, where all kinds of blessings are available.
(He who wills will enter His right path). Allah treats all His servants equally in this world. If Allah did not treat His servants equally, He would have destroyed those who rebelled against Him in this world or deprived them of worldly blessings. He would make them suffer in poverty or not save them from calamities. But since Allah treats everyone equally in this world and has opened the doors of the abode of peace for all His servants, whoever asks Allah for it, Allah will never deprive him of it. But whoever does not wish for the abode of peace, He will never give him this abode of peace and settle these people in it. And whoever turns away from Allah and His Messenger and does not believe in the Hereafter, the abode they have purchased is Hell. What an evil place of return!
What is said in the video
We have come to verse 25 of Surah Yunus, the noble verse. This verse has been interpreted wrongly; we have written the correct one. Surah Yunus, yes, verse 25 — what does it say there? Allah calls His servants to the abode of peace, and He guides whom He wills to the right path, it says. Now, it is right that Allah calls His servants to the abode of peace. He invites them to Paradise. But He does not bring whom He wills to the right path. All servants are Allah's servants. All He has created are Allah's servants. And Allah — Eleysallahu bi-ahkemi'l-hâkimîn. He is the judge of judges. He never discriminates among His servants and does not commit injustice. So He does not guide whom He wills to the right path.
Look, it says He guides whom He wills to the right path. Whereas Allah calls His servants to the abode of peace, and whoever wills enters His right path. Whoever wills enters His right path.
You cannot accuse Allah. You cannot make Allah discriminate among people. You cannot persuade Allah with blame. You cannot object to Him. This is an objection. This is an objection to Allah. Making Him discriminate among servants. Didn't the verse say Your mercy in this world is for everyone? If His mercy in this world is for everyone, how can you make Him discriminate among His servants and say He guides whom He wills to the right path? Well, Hodja Efendi, of course He guides the one who obeys Allah to the right path. He does not guide the one who obeys Allah to the right path either. A person goes on his own right path.
He goes on Allah's path. Man has a partial will (irade-i cüz'iye). There is a judgement that man makes. Judgement. They misunderstand this too. It says judgement belongs to Allah alone. No. The judgement is mine, my judgement. I will (?) into actions. As long as we live, the judgement is ours. Ah. On that Day, judgement belongs to Allah alone. Why don't you say 'that Day'? Judgement is not Allah's alone — you are stirring up confusion. On that Day, judgement belongs to Allah alone. Which day is this? The Last Hour will strike. We will be resurrected in the hereafter. The Great Tribunal will be set up.
On that Day, at that Great Tribunal, Allah Almighty has no spouse, no partner, no equal who could decide in His place. On that Day, judgement belongs to Allah alone.
This must be understood this way. Don't lead people's minds astray with wrong words and half verses.
'No, He takes whom He wills there, whom He wills here.' Do you, (?) among Allah's servants, accuse Allah Almighty of injustice? Yes. The time has come to correct these, inshallah. They will be corrected.
Allah Almighty, because He loves (?) very much, calls them to the abode of peace. With the verse — does this fit now, does it fit with the verse as they interpreted it? It says Allah calls His servants, all His servants, to the abode of peace, and it says that He guides whom He wills to the right path. Come on — You call all of them, and yet whom You will? What use was the calling then? Such nonsense, I mean.
So Allah calls His servants to the abode of peace, and whoever wills goes on His right path. Because Allah Almighty loves people very much, He calls them to the abode of peace. He has given partial will into people's hands. Allah has shown them the crooked and the straight paths. In a way every (?) can understand, giving people examples in the Holy Quran, appealing to their minds, that His existence is the truth and that those who deny Allah will go to Hell, and those who heed Allah and the hereafter — to Paradise, the abode of peace, that is, that He will grant them His Paradise — He makes this clear.
Allah Almighty. Now, when you say Allah Almighty guides whom He wills to the right path, aren't you denying this verse? Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. Aren't you denying this verse? Remember, Allah Almighty says of those who will come forth from the offspring of the children of Adam: We made a covenant. (?) witnesses against themselves (?) your Lord. Allah Almighty is the One who writes people's wishes and desires (?) as their destiny. Why, then, does He make a covenant with us in this verse, and we come here, to the world, and He guides whom He wills and leaves whom He wills?
People unaware of the verses. They don't understand the meanings of the verses at all. This is how they perceive it, this is how they talk. (?) (?)
In this verse too, His calling people to the abode of peace — far from all kinds of calamities and hardships, to peace where every kind of blessing is found, and to His Paradise, He invites them. Allah Almighty invites. Now, a message comes to me saying: because of the interest you have shown in our newly opened institution, we invite you, it says. We invite you — well, please, go ahead. You didn't go. When I don't go, when I don't accept the invitation, can I benefit from the blessings they would offer me? Can I? They would give something. Allah Almighty too says: O My servants, if you accept My invitation, I will give you My Paradise, He says, My Paradise.
I am not asking you for money. I am not asking for (?). I don't say work and give it to Me. Say 'Allah', He says. Obey My command, He says. Perform your prayer. Give your zakat. Make your Hajj. (?) the rulings of the Sharia. Lighten your load as much as needed, He says — the load of sins. As much as you can, say Allah; I want nothing else from you. These blessings I have given you — though there is no right to them, though they are My creation — there is no right, I say. (?) Or do you own even an atom of the world, He says. If that were so, you would not be given anything, not even as much as the sprout of a single seed, He says.
In that case, I am the One who created Paradise, He says. I am the One who created you. I am the One who created the world. I am the One who blessed you. In return for saying 'Allah' once, I am selling you Paradise, He says. Paradise — those who buy Paradise with their lives and their wealth.
In this case, what mind would sidestep Allah? And when He says 'whom He wills' to this, it pleases their egos — I am (?). I am the superior human at the summit of (?). I am created honoured above the worlds. Then (?) massacres (?). They say these are superior to the people in such-and-such a place. Whereas he doesn't know that humans are created honoured above the worlds.
Do you know the proof too, Hodja? The proof is very simple. Allah Almighty gave a part of His that He gave to none in the worlds — He gave it. His spirit. No being has a spirit except man. But people who don't know themselves, on websites, put a spirit in the cat, the dog, all creatures; (?) — by their own lights they interpret the verses that way. They interpret them as it suits them. In that case, since in your view man has a spirit, despite being created the most honoured above the worlds, despite being the vicegerent of the earth — not (?) of Ahmet or Mehmet; Allah Almighty says it of people — despite being the vicegerent of the earth, despite being addressed by Him Himself, without distinguishing among people, without distinguishing among people, His mercy being for everyone, you — how can you describe it so and do away with Allah Almighty's justice, [saying] He puts whom He wills into Paradise and whom He wills into Hell, boast of your lineage and say 'We are Allah's close ones', and say 'Fire will not touch me for more than two hundred days'?
In this way, with no evidence in your hand, you set about accusing Allah Almighty and create class distinctions among people. Thank you. Yes. Thank you. Allah does not put whom He wills into Paradise and whom He wills into Hell. Allah showed people two paths. One is the path of torment, the other the path of delight. If you want, you seek delight; if you want, torment. The will is yours. Yes.
He guides the one who wills to the right path. The one who wills.
Not whom He wills. He guides the one who wills to the right path. In the life of this world, Allah treats all His servants equally. If Allah had not treated His servants equally, in this world He would have destroyed His servants who rebel against Him, or deprived them of the world's blessings.
He would have made them writhe in poverty, or not saved them from calamities. Since Allah treats everyone equally in this world, since He has opened the abode of peace at the doors of all His servants, whoever asks Allah for it, Allah will never deprive him of this abode of peace. But whoever does not wish for the abode of peace, He will never give them this abode of peace and settle these people here. Whoever turns their face from Allah and His Messenger and does not believe in the hereafter — the abode they have bought is Hell. What an evil place of return that is, it says.
Yes.
Here, in this sentence of ours, another meaning comes out. If Allah had not treated His servants equally, in this world He would have destroyed His servants who rebel against Him or deprived them of the world's blessings.
One of our young ones asked the other day. 'I couldn't understand how people take revenge on their own selves,' he says.
Allah Almighty calling you to mercy, giving you, sir, the good news of Paradise, promising you His Paradise if you live the religion of Islam — if in the face of that you turn your back on Allah, if you turn your back on your Creator and do not carry out His commands, and Allah Almighty, by His attribute of justice, gives His judgement on you and leaves you subject to torment — did Allah send you to torment, or did you bring torment upon yourself and end up subject to it? In that case, because you went against Allah's commands, if Allah left you subject to that torment, if He put you there for your actual deeds, you yourself took revenge on all of it.
This state has a law. I committed a crime. I stood before the judge. For my crime, the judge sentenced me to 10 years, 15 years, 20 years, 30 years, or to prison for life — he sentenced me. For life — a life sentence. In that case, did the judge give me this crime? The judge applied the laws. Who committed the crime? I did. I took revenge on my own self, not the judge. The judge did not take revenge on me. Through my crimes I took revenge on my own self. And whoever opposes Allah Almighty's laws — against your Lord who feeds you, gives you drink, watches over you, raises you, who pours existence, everything, His mercy upon you, against your Lord who created you from nothing — if you don't do what He says, if you push His limits and step outside His limits, did Allah take revenge on you, or did you take revenge on yourself?
About Pharaoh too, 'We took revenge on him', it says. They have always interpreted it wrongly. We say he too took revenge on his own self. Because he denied seven miracles. Each time he saw one, he said, 'O Moses, I have believed in your Lord'. When he was delivered, he denied again. Finally, in the Red Sea, to catch the people of (?), into that sea that had opened, (?) when they entered, Allah Almighty destroyed them. In that case they too took revenge on their own selves. And that, it says, is the torment for now, it says. The torment, (?) for now, it says. What does this mean? The torment's (?) for now.
It indicates that he suffers the torment of the grave. And the severest torment, it says, is in the hereafter. Of course, the torment of Hell. Yes.
