Translation

Therein, all people find their past deeds in front of them. And they are returned to their true Owner, Allah. And the things they were fabricating (their false deities) left them and disappeared.

Tafsir

In the Hereafter, everyone will certainly be rewarded for what they did in this world. When their souls taste death, when they are reckoned in the Hereafter and they see that all that they were told in the world was true, they realize that they are now reunited with Allah, their rightful owner.

And the gods invented by those who associate partners with Allah have disappeared. Those who disobey Allah and His Messenger in the worldly realm, those who think that the field is empty, those who are arrogant and proud, those who have wealth, those who rely on their wealth, will be subjected to a painful punishment there. The world is a paradise for such people. They used to fulfill their every desire with Allah's blessings. It will surely be a painful torment for people who are accustomed to such a situation to suffer in hell in poverty and misery.

What is said in the video

In verse 30 of Surah Yunus: there everyone finds before them what they did in the past. Everyone. When they are resurrected, they will say this: Woe to us! Everything we did in the world, great and small, has been written down. Fe men ya'mel miskâle zerratin hayran yerah. Ve men ya'mel miskâle zerratin şerran yerah. An atom's weight of evil and an atom's weight of good have been written down. There is no escape. Hodja, woe to us, we felt remorse for what we did. If these faults of ours are shown to us, we will be disgraced there. If you say that, if you repent in the world, if you feel remorse for what you did, Allah Almighty, without humiliating you before anyone, shows those sins only to you and shows you that He has forgiven them, and displays you with your good deeds.

Would your Lord

put you to shame?

Think of it like this: a mother or a father, their children are naughty, naughty, there is no wrong they have not done, then they lift their head and come back to their mother and father and love them so much that on their path, they say, (?) they lay themselves down on that mother and father's path. Would that mother and father tell of that child's wrongs? They always show the child by its good. Just think: Allah Almighty, who sent one percent of His mercy to the world, has set aside ninety- nine percent for His servants. Would He display your bad states? As long as you (?). Say Allah, repent of those sins, seek forgiveness.

Yes.

There everyone finds before them what they did in the past; now they have been returned to Allah, their true Master. Yes, the things they used to invent, their false gods, have also abandoned them and vanished, because they bear witness, don't they: between us and you Allah is witness, the idols say; and that they are their burden of sin — after Allah Almighty has proved this to them, the gods they relied on, those trees they called gods, the idols, also vanish; there they see that they are left with no one, alone. In the hereafter everyone will surely find the recompense of what they did in the world.

Their souls having tasted death, called to account again in the hereafter, when they see that all that was said in the world was true, they understand that their true Master, Allah, is the one they have now reached. There is no master other than Allah. The Lord of the worlds.

Since there is no god but Him, since there is no other door to enter, since no one remains forever in the world, since all people taste death, and after death, had we vanished, we could not see those people in our dreams. So there is a spirit in us. That the spirit, outside the body, as far as Allah Almighty permits, meets the other spirits, the dead, means that they move to the hereafter and in the hereafter reach their true Master; Allah Almighty here, through dreams, makes us prove it. Every soul shall taste death, and to Us is your return, He says. If we were annihilated by death, something annihilated is never seen again.

Is it seen? It is never seen again. Because it is gone. It vanished. I mean, it went away; but since spirits are seen again, if you see your dead mother, father, uncle, aunt, whoever, in a dream, then they do not vanish. They are waiting for a certain time. For what time? They are waiting for the Hour to come and the time of resurrection. That is, for the bodies to be raised and, according to the verse 'you came before Me with a driver', for the Supreme Court to be set up, the day we will be called to account before Allah Almighty — that is what they are waiting for. Yes.

In the hereafter everyone will surely find the recompense of what they did in the world. Their souls having tasted death, called to account again in the hereafter, when they see that all that was said in the world was true, they understand that their true Master, Allah, is the one they have now reached. The gods invented by those who associate partners with Allah have also vanished. Because they too will vanish after they have borne witness. Who will remain? Our spirits, which are a part of our Lord — our spirits, from pre-eternity to eternity, forever and ever, will remain. Everlasting. That is why I say pre-eternity and eternity.

Pre-eternity, eternity — I mean pre-eternity, endless, pre-eternal, I say; eternal, that too is an endlessness: pre-eternity and eternity. My friends, here a story comes to mind: one of the sultans loved a certain poet very much. But the poet also misbehaved a lot.

Again he commits an offence.

He says: Didn't I tell you that if you committed an offence again I would throw you in prison? If, he says, you make me a sentence, and in this sentence you use the words twice in the same way, I will forgive you, he says.

Now he will make the sentence. He will make a sentence using the same words twice. My friends, now he begins. Well, from the Hafızhane gate, he says. No. From the Babusselam gate. From the Babusselam gate. While fleeing and running away, I happened to come across a horseman on horseback.

Now, Babusselam is a gate, and gate is gate: at the Babusselam gate, he uses gate twice. While fleeing and running away: fleeing is fleeing, and running away is escaping anyway; happened to come across: happening is happening, coming across is coming across. A horseman on horseback: a horseman is on horseback anyway, that too is on horseback; now he builds the sentence by using everything, every word, once and twice, he begins. Now when we say pre-eternity and eternity here, we use the same word twice.

Yes. One thing I would also put like this, but I do not want to go into details. Because some smart alecks stand up against us. I would say we are everlasting from the first to eternity, but first and eternity, that I cannot say. Smart alecks stand up against us. They will say: what is your beginning? Didn't Allah create you? If I (?) from Allah, (?); if I (?) from Him, I was lost from Him. But I am the created one. Separated from Him, a created being. That one: a creature. (?) the Creator.

Yes. Lawyers understand these words of ours better. It falls under the science of kalam. This is kalam. Words that descend to the essence through beautiful contemplation. Isn't that so? Yes.

The gods invented by those who associate partners with Allah have also vanished. In the world, those who opposed Allah and His Messenger, seeing the field as empty, who puffed up their nafs, who went about in arrogance and pride, who had wealth, who leaned their back on their wealth, there will be left (?) to a painful punishment. Here we have (?) between them. Yes.

The world is the paradise of such people. The world is the paradise of such people. If you ask what kind of paradise this is: the non-Muslim. You live in pleasure and delight in the world. You go about on yachts, in palaces. Say you are a Muslim and live. And let me beg here. My clothes in rags. Let me sleep here and there, in the cold, outside. And you say this is my paradise. How can this be? Yes. For a Muslim, even if he is in a palace, even on yachts, the life of the world is his prison. Compared to the hereafter, compared to the sovereignty Allah Almighty will give him in the hereafter, a Muslim's life in the world, even if it is the most magnificent life, is his prison.

Aren't there modern prisons today? There are. So how is it the unbeliever's paradise? Compared with the punishment the unbeliever will see in the hereafter, the torment and suffering he endures in the world is his paradise.

Yes. Here, however much torment and suffering he endures, he still struggles on in the hope of living. But there, as he sees the punishment, he cries out: destruction, where are you?

That is why the non-Muslim's worldly life is his paradise. His paradise.

The world is the paradise of such people. Because they used to fulfil all their desires with the blessings Allah gave. For people used to this state, writhing in want and agony in hell will certainly be a painful punishment for these people.
