Truly, this is your true Lord, Allah. So, what remains after truth other than having gone astray? So, how do you return (to being astray)?
Tafsir
It is Allah, our Lord, Who has sent you Books and Prophets, Who has sent down water from the sky to provide for you, Who knows the state and condition of all creatures.
If, after all these warnings, a person deviates from the truth and the right path, there is only one path left, and that is the path of misguidance. This way of misguidance is the way of those who deviate from the right path of the truth and take to crooked paths, so why are you being turned away from the right path after all these events, even though you have evidence in your minds over people?
What is said in the video
So it means
if a person goes outside decency and manners, goes outside decency and manners, then with man's purpose of creation, in keeping, if it falls, it runs contrary; it runs contrary to man's purpose of creation, and he becomes the person meant by this verse. They are like four-legged animals (?) on the earth. Even more astray in their way, He says. So what makes a human human is his character, his decency and manners. This character, decency and manners,
a path Allah has shown, perfectly straight, the straight path, (?), just as it makes man the caliph of the earth, makes him trustworthy and honourable among people. That is Allah, your true Lord. After departing from the truth, what remains but error? Then how are you turning to error, He says. How, from all the value I have given you, giving you a part of Myself and addressing you to My Self, how can this human, He says, although he knows he too was created by a Lord, deny his Lord? He eats and drinks all the blessings He gave and is ungrateful to Him. And by deifying his own nafs he associates partners with Allah.
With that helplessness of his. And leaving Allah's straight path, trampling his honour and dignity underfoot, he chooses the path of error. O man! If you continue in this state, I too, He says, have prepared a place for you. That place, He says, is such a place, such a place: what an evil return, what an evil resting place, He says. Where is this? Hell.
Hell. In this world, if a splinter pricks your hand, you moan in pain.
There it is beyond that splinter. How will you endure that pain? Hold your hand to a candle flame; if you can endure that pain, you can endure the one there too. So, as a human, man must pull himself together. The wise among people is not the one who shoulders the world and becomes a porter; the wise among people is the one who, going both the worldly and the otherworldly way, does his work within Allah's commands.
He takes on the world, follows tasawwuf on Allah's path, but even if he has no worldly goods at all, he trusts in Allah and submits to Allah. These are wise people. I mean, the one who wants to secure his future, who leans his back on his Creator and expects help from Him, who trusts in Him: that person is wise.
People other than these, within their own carnal feelings, following Satan or those we call two-legged taghut, for the sake of their interests, sending nothing more ahead to their hereafter; according to the verse that says they are without anyone and alone, people who remain alone in the hereafter; those included among them are, in my view, foolish and senseless people. Yes.
So we too read the verse, then we move on to our tafsir, inshallah.
That is Allah, your true Lord. After departing from the truth, what remains but error? Then how are you turning to error? So this too is very meaningful. Then how are you ungrateful to your Lord for all the blessings He has given?
That is: the one who sent you books and prophets, who sends down water from the sky to you and secures your provision, who knows the state and condition of all creatures, that is our Lord, Allah. Who gives provision to all He created. Who guides and manages them.
After this many warnings, if man strays from the truth and the right path, only one path remains. That is the path of error. What is this path of error? What is it? What Allah Almighty does not want,
what does not please Him, what He has forbidden us, the path He describes as: they are like four-legged animals (?) on the earth, even more astray in their way; the (?) path.
(?) your honour and dignity; if you commit zina — zina, that is, for two married people committing zina, it is stoning in our religion. Yes. It does away with honour and dignity. It does away with the notion of family. Perhaps he will have a child from the woman he committed zina with. Perhaps he will marry his own child.
Plus interest, which (?) unity and togetherness. Plus drink and gambling.
Plus being ungrateful for the blessings Allah gave.
Worse than these is leaving the religion of Islam and associating partners with Allah Almighty.
After associating that partner, a person then commits every perversion that comes to mind.
Yes. If we look at perversion here, as far as our Lord has told us, like the people of the Prophet Lot, they left women and started (?). In our time, don't people of the same sex marry? This too is permitted. What is this perversion, in words? Even animals (?) with their own sex.
Animals (?) more astray in their way.
Yes.
That is why man will be obedient to his Lord.
This path of error, the right path of the Truth: those who stray from the right path and sink into crooked paths; after so many events, although there is proof over people in their minds, why are you turned away from the right path? I gave you a mind too. The mind too is a blessing upon you. And you know that I have a Lord. Does your Lord make you go astray? Does your Lord tell you to be ungrateful for the blessings I gave? Whether Muslim or non-Muslim, whatever ideology he holds, today when a person benefits from another person in the slightest way, he thanks him. This is my human duty, he says.
My human debt, he says.
You, with that conscience, when you receive a benefit from that person, when you benefit, your human conscience makes you thank him, and yet, to your Lord, who made him give it to you and created him, who meets your needs, in conscience the manners of humanity fulfilling, is there no thanking? Is there no giving thanks? Here is people's lack of reason, here is their foolishness. Here, as I always say, an example comes to mind: the nail says to the hammer, why do you hit me on the head? The hammer says, why are you telling me? Look at the one making me hit, it says. Yes, here, although Allah Almighty showers all blessings on people, because people turn their backs on Allah Almighty, within the whims of their own nafs, because on their necks there are collars; a lale is put on dogs' necks like this, a collar, so that wolves do not strangle them. So they cannot bow their necks to the ground, He says.
This is in Yasin-i Şerif. Collars. In this case, people rebellious against their Lord, those who back in the barzakh had their covenant written as deniers, who in the visible world had the same script written, having those characters and denying their Lord with their desires and wishes,
will of course continue their ingratitude. They will also continue their errors. And we say: O man, this world is a place of testing, testing. Testing. All of us are being tested here. Each of us holds ourselves as witness to one another. How is Kehan Efendi, we say? A good person. How is this one? A good person. How is that one? Forget him, we say, for example. We hold ourselves as witness to ourselves, and we also hold ourselves as witness to Allah. There are three witnesses. We want you as witness to yourself, witness to those around, witness to Allah. Yes.
So, in this visible world, whoever envies those people who go on perverse paths and turns to their path, Allah Almighty says in His verse exactly: they too are like them.
So only one task falls to the one who knows the truth. Regardless of people blaming you, of wealthy people looking down on you; provided the yachts, palaces, summer houses and lifestyles of those who live far from Allah do not make you envious, if you continue on the straight path, on a perfectly straight path, in a way that can be an example to them, you will find the truth. And in the hereafter you will attain the mercy of the Truth. Otherwise, if we go sideways like a fish, like this, then our last moment, as to it being valid, how we will go, Allah knows. But if we go on a perfectly straight path, on a perfectly straight path Allah will be our helper.
Yes.
