Most of them follow nothing but falsehood. Verily, falsehood is not equal to anything from the Truth (the true knowledge). Allah is the One Who knows very well what they are doing.
Tafsir
Most of those who associate partners with Allah are after conjecture. Those who wonder and wish for what their own souls desire, or those who seem to believe but are in doubt between believing and not believing. These are indecisive people full of suspicions.
Indeed, as long as people follow and are subject to conjectures, they cannot get rid of falsehood. They cannot use their intellect. They follow what their nafs desires and become captives of falsehood with their imaginations. Their hearts are troubled by their suspicions and doubts. Even if they have knowledge in one branch, they flounder in ideas that are contrary and contradictory to each other. In this respect, there is no substitute for the true knowledge that Allah has shown. Within the true knowledge that Allah has shown, there is the knowledge of technology that will be available until the Day of Judgment and everything that will enable people to live and survive. For the peaceful life of human beings, Allah declares in His Verses that only by obeying Allah's Essence can people attain peace, use their minds better, and get rid of misconceptions.
But those who do not follow the true knowledge, who follow their nafs, who turn away from Allah and His Messenger, Allah is well aware of what such people do. For Allah, who made a covenant with them in the previous world, has given them their wills and desires as their destiny. Therefore, Allah is the All-Knowing of what all people will do and what they want to do.
What is said in the video
Surah Yunus, verse 36. Most of them follow nothing but conjecture. Who are they? The polytheists, the unbelievers. Surely conjecture is of no avail against the truth, against knowledge. What is conjecture? Without any knowledge, to have suspicions about someone. For example: so-and-so, that man does this and that, but might he perhaps be doing such and such — he makes conjectures about him. Or, without knowing anything about him, he disparages him. He gossips about him, backbites him. Though he has nothing to do with him. This (?) is of no avail at all. That is, he has no proof in his hand, He says.
Proof. Speaking without proof is idle talk. It is conjecture. Yes. Allah knows very well what they do, He says. About the people they make conjectures about, what they think, He knows very well, He says. Because when Allah made the covenant with people at the ‘Alastu bi-Rabbikum’ address, their desires and wishes, their aims, He wrote for them as destiny. Therefore He knows the secrets of people's hearts.
Most of those who associate partners with Allah follow conjecture. Those who wonder (?) and want what their own nafs desires to be so, or who, appearing to believe, between believing and not believing, are in doubt about what they believe — these are undecided people full of conjecture, people. About the religion of Islam too: is it right, is it crooked? Here — look, that one does it like this, but I wouldn't do it so. He judges it by his own mind, distances himself from Islam and even remains in hesitation. In hesitation. Surely, as long as people follow conjectures and obey them, they cannot escape falsehood.
Most conjecture is kufr. Kufr. Yes, a person will have suspicions. He will, even if only a little. But very little. That suspicion drives people to caution. To caution. But when you suspect too much, it drives you to kufr. Behind it your nafs, and behind that the temptation of Satan, drives you to kufr, to evil ways.
Surely, as long as people follow conjectures and obey them, they cannot escape falsehood. They cannot use their reason. Following what their nafs desires, with worlds of fantasy, they become captives of falsehood. The conjectures and doubts in them give their hearts unrest.
Isn't it so? If you are suspicious about a person.
Our ancestors give a nice example of this. A proverb: The rabbit sulked at the mountain, and the mountain never knew. You too have suspicions about the man, and the man knows nothing. You keep wondering, does that man do this, does he do that — constantly, as conjecture, when Satan and your nafs gnaw at your heart like a worm, your thinking they try to remove. It (?) to showing what is right. So these people live in unrest in their hearts.
Amid ideas that contradict and oppose each other — even if they have knowledge in one branch — hodjas stand. In their hearts and minds, clashing thoughts constantly come and go. In this case the person cannot be faithful on his path. He cannot see a right path in this case.
For this reason nothing takes the place of the true knowledge Allah has shown. In the true knowledge Allah has shown are the technology and science that will exist until the Day of Judgement, and everything by which people will find life and live. Whatever you seek is within these verses of Allah; when you hold fast to the verses, you find the truth. What does Allah Almighty say? Do not suspect too much. So — I am suspecting too much, I am falling into sin, you say. You find relief. In some places: that man is doing this, but so in technology this is how it is, the man is developing himself, you say, and again you find relief; you know, when you turn to science and technology, you come to understand the person's better state and you are freed from suspicions. For people's peaceful life, Allah Almighty, with His verses, declares that only through obedience to Allah's being will people find peace, use their reason better and be freed from suspicions.
But those who do not follow true knowledge, who follow their nafs, who from Allah and His Messenger turn their faces away — what such people do, Allah knows very well. Yes.
Now look at the non-Muslims: they look as if they would give their lives for each other; you look at them and say, what civilized people, and their state you begin to envy; yet in their hearts such enmity toward each other passes — because Allah Almighty says in His verse: among themselves they are very harsh; toward each other they are very harsh and severe, He says. I am in Germany.
A man is coming out of the park. He has blocked the road. A man is going this way too. He wants to pass, I mean.
The man coming out of the park says: he should give way to me. This one says: he should give way to me. Because he blocked my way like that. Both stand and stand. Stand and stand. And I watched them like this, watched and watched, wondering which one would give in. I gave in, I left. They didn't give in.
Yes. Are these the people to be envied? The pride and arrogance in them, the ego and grandeur. These are the people of whom He says their hearts are restless and scattered. In these there is no (?). So most conjecture leads a person to kufr — they are already in kufr. They are the very fathers of conjecture. Constantly they contrive false schemes. Constantly they try to set traps. What does Allah Almighty say? We are the best of those who plot, He says. What does this mean? Allah Almighty programmed these worlds. These people, outside the program, with their minds prepare great traps for each other. Allah Almighty too, what you cannot bear — because, according to the verse ‘We do not (?) on your backs’ — all the traps outside the program, Allah Almighty spoils, and says: We are the best of those who plot.
Because He does not load on their backs a burden they cannot bear. But don't people prepare traps for each other? They do. Every person, with the evil trickery he has done, within his own destiny, within the covenant he gave, within the burden he can bear — according to the verse ‘Did you think you would die without proving what kind of person you are?’ — everyone, with the actual deeds he has done, his rewards and sins on his own back loads.
For people's peaceful life, Allah Almighty, with His verses, declares that only through obedience to Allah's being will people find peace, use their reason better and be freed from suspicions. A restless person, a person who always lives with suspicions, his reason cannot fully use. Because it constantly gnaws at his heart, his nafs, like a worm. Like a worm his nafs gnaws at him, and in the thoughts he thinks, with many conjectures and thoughts, the person strays from his path. These too go to kufr — and indeed they (?). For this reason Allah Almighty says in His verse: one Muslim equals three unbelievers.
Equal to three unbelievers not with his body but with his reason. Because a Muslim, a Muslim is one who has submitted to Allah, a person whose heart is full of peace. One Muslim equals three people. One Muslim equals seven people. One Muslim equals ten people. Allah Almighty says so anyway. In one verse ten people, in one verse seven people, in one verse three people — he equals them, He says.
Equal with what? Equal with his reason. Since he is equal with his reason: a Muslim, an ordinary Muslim, compared to an unbeliever, equals three people with his reason.
A sincere, believing person equals seven people with his reason. Because he is more developed, he sees the truth better, he observes his surroundings better. A righteous servant, a learned servant, equals ten people against them. Because the scholar is now (?).
Bound by the knowledge of Allah, people possessed of wisdom.
Yes.
But those who do not follow true knowledge, who follow their nafs, who from Allah and His Messenger turn their faces away — what such people do, Allah knows very well. Because Allah, who made the covenant with them in (?), their aims, desires and wishes He gave them as destiny. For this reason Allah, what all people will do and what they want to do, knows truly.
