This Qur’an is the word, which was sent by the One (Allah) except who there is no other God. It confirms and explains what was sent before (the Bible). There are no doubts about it, it is from the Lord of (all) the worlds.
Tafsir
People say that the Holy Qur'an is a Book dictated by the Prophet Muhammad (SAW). Even today, people say such things and deny Allah and His Messenger. There will be those who will say such things until the Day of Judgment. Allah (swt) emphasizes that the Holy Qur'an is the Word of Allah by declaring to people that His Verses are true. (If the Holy Qur'an had been written by men, you would have seen that there are many words in it that do not agree with each other. The verse declares that the Qur'an was sent by revelation from Allah (swt) Himself. The Holy Qur'an is a confirmation of what came before it and an explanation of the Book that came before it. With this verse, Allah (swt) clearly declares that the Qur'an was not sent by anyone other than Himself.
O people! If this were a human fabrication, if it were not the Prophet who revealed this Book to you, but a human being among you, is it a human being who lived in the time of the Books of the Torah, the Psalms and the Gospel that were sent before, and who was aware of these Books, and who finally tasted death and was born again in your time, so that he would be aware of the contents of these Books and would inform people from the past? And would he know that you have tampered and distorted with your own hands, and that you have changed the Verses that do not suit you to the ones that suit you? Is this a fabricated Book, written by none other than Allah, that you should give such judgments, even though you see and know in the Qur'an the Verses of the Books in your hands?
No, it is a Book of truth sent from the Lord of the Worlds, explaining and confirming the previous Books and the Prophets.
What is said in the video
Surah Yunus, verse 37: This Quran — by the One besides whom there is no other god, sent by His Being — is a word. Rather, it confirms what came before it, that is, what came before it means the Torah, the Psalms and the Gospel — confirming them, and that book it explains. When it says ‘that book’, all four books are included. It explains that book. The meaning changes here. One: into the Torah, the Psalms and the Gospel falsehoods entered. The genuine one is in the Quran. And by meaning the Quran, it means the four books, cleansed of those falsehoods, as the genuine one, set out in the Holy Quran, He says.
There is no doubt about it. There is no doubt in it. Because it is Allah's word. It is from the Lord of the worlds. Yes.
People say the Holy Quran is a book that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) had written down, they say. In his time people talked like this.
Some say this: Someone comes secretly and teaches him. He comes at night and teaches him when we don't see, they say. Today too such words are being said; they deny Allah and His Messenger. Such talk — until the Day of Judgement there will be those who say such words. Why would they say them in the face of so much truth? Because every person, what kind of person he is, came to this world to prove; every person has a covenant with Allah Almighty, and as a result of his covenant, being obedient or wretched; in this world, of the covenant he gave, he will live the destiny that results from it. If his destiny is wretched — that is surely rebellion against Allah — even if he sees the truth, since on their eyes there is a veil and in their ears a deafness, they toward the truth do not turn. Running after the desires of the nafs, their own desires and wishes to live out, they regard this worldly life as booty.
And for the life of this world he makes every effort he can; the word of truth weighs heavily on him; in this case he turns his back on it; as a person flees from the plague, these flee even faster from Islam and keep away.
Yes.
There will be those who say such words until the Day of Judgement. Allah Almighty declares to people that His verses are true, that the Holy Quran is Allah's word, He emphasizes. Had the Holy Quran been written by people, many inconsistent words you would see in it. With His verse it is declared that the Quran was sent by Allah Almighty Himself through revelation . Through revelation.
The Holy Quran, as a whole, on the 27th night of Ramadan, is its descent to Sidrat al-Muntaha, to the place called Qadr. From there, little by little, Jibril (peace be upon him) to the Prophet recited it. Before this, Allah Almighty to the Prophet's heart, by way of communication, revealed it. Each surah or each verse, Allah Almighty, when He revealed it to the Prophet's heart, Jibril (peace be upon him) too, by Allah's command, from Sidrat al-Muntaha — what was revealed to the Prophet's heart, the verses of that surah or that surah — would come and recite to the Prophet. Though we know this, to erase the Prophet's honour, or the short-minded (?) taught the Prophet, they say.
But in this verse Allah Almighty says: when We reveal to a prophet's heart, surely, He says, Iblis will set about putting (?) into his heart, He says. That is, he will set about putting a confuser into it.
We set Our revelation firmly in his heart, He says; Satan's temptation strikes it and vanishes, He says. This verse too they explain wrongly. Allah supposedly cancels Satan's temptation, then He Himself sets it firmly. In this case, is Allah Almighty not being given attributes? He had left everyone free in their will. If Allah Almighty is the teacher, He will set the verse, the revelation, firmly in his heart. When Satan's temptation strikes that revelation, (?) it will strike and pass by, (?) as it strikes. Yes. And in this case, when Allah Almighty sets the revelation firmly, the person will understand Satan's temptation better; the revelation will leave a mark on him. A mark.
Yes.
Understanding the verses, balancing the verses against each other, is very beautiful. An equation. Without that equation a person strays left and right. Like a ship without a captain in waves, in stormy weather, lurching left and right.
Yes.
The Holy Quran confirms what came before it and explains the book that came before. With this verse Allah Almighty, that the Quran by anyone other than Himself was not sent, clearly declares. O people! Had this been a human fabrication, had the one explaining this book to you been not a prophet but, among you, just any person —
is he a person who lived in the time of the Torah, the Psalms and the Gospel sent before, learned of these books and finally, tasting death, was born again in our time, so that, knowing the contents of these books, he should have informed people about the past?
Which people have passed to the hereafter? Then after hundreds of years arose and said, I am a prophet, and told the contents of that book without anyone teaching him.
The People of the Book know very well — that is, the followers of the Torah, the Psalms and the Gospel, Christians and Jews, know very well that the Holy Quran, confirming the whole book in their hands, is a book. Though they know, why don't they come to the truth? Because the pride and arrogance in them, lineage and ancestry, fame and glory — glory; because from among their own people no prophet came, because he came from the Arab people, their pride could not stomach it. Because they looked down on the Arab people, the Prophet (peace be upon him), who came as a mercy to the worlds, they did not follow.
In this case, the Prophet (peace be upon him) — people who do not follow him; that their boasting of fame, glory, lineage and ancestry is a product of ignorance, that with such feelings their end will be a fiasco, poor people who cannot know. Because, for His being to be known, Allah Almighty first the Prophet's light, then gives him from His spirit. From his spirit He creates the spirits of the prophets. Since from the prophets' spirits He created the spirits of their peoples, all mankind was created from the Prophet's spirit and from him descended — that they cannot know this, that fame and glory, arrogance and pride have their eyes blinded, ears deafened, hearts sealed; people the truth have come to a state where they cannot see.
Denying their own elders, they have fallen into the state of poor people. If I said to these people, would you deny your father — to those who boast of their lineage? They even go and count those in the graves. They, He says, with lineage (?), went so far that their dead in the graves too they started counting, He says. How does he stand up for his father? How does he stand up for his relatives? Saying ‘my lineage, my ancestry’. Then that is your lineage: our father Adam, our mother Eve, all mankind too — although created from the Prophet's spirit, why don't you hold fast to him? Why don't you hold fast to him as your elder?
Because Allah Almighty, who left you free in your will back then, at that ‘Alastu bi-Rabbikum’ address, out of your fame and glory, pride and arrogance, pride and arrogance, waiting for the Lord of your fantasy — our Lord, who created you close to His being, you saw as like yourself, so you turned your back on Him. For that reason, the Beloved of the Almighty (?) Hz. Muhammad (peace be upon him) too — to take revenge for that, you keep distancing yourself from him. In fact you are running from your own origin. From your own origin. You are running from your own lineage. Poor people unaware of this.
Yes.
Now, if my father's father's father's father came out of the grave, how I would embrace him! If (?) grandfather's grandfather's grandfather came, if I knew — but this is my father's father's father's grandfather's grandfather's grandfather; would one embrace him, then? We come from his loins. We all came from the Prophet's spirit. Why don't we hold fast to him?
Yes. So the reason we do not hold fast: although we are in his spirit, though from his spirit we came, at that ‘Alastu bi-Rabbikum’ address, when Allah Almighty said to you ‘I am your Lord’, waiting for the Lord of his own fantasy, in his own form seeing his Lord, denying the Lord who is close to him, the Lord of his own fantasy he waited for — out of that pride and arrogance, the person who denies Allah will surely deny the Prophet too. Yes.
If man uses his reason, like equations, how beautifully the verses confirm each other, like equations, without any error; in this case man his own deficiency sees as he sees himself in a mirror; but the vain desire of the nafs, pride and arrogance, that person's fame, glory and grandeur keep man from the path of truth, make him deify his own nafs; by the pleasure (?) of this passing world deceived, they bankrupt their hereafter; the eternal Hell, of which He says what an evil destination it is, people who buy it while still in this world.
Yes.
So: O people, had this been a human fabrication, had the one explaining this book to you been not a prophet but any person from among you — sent before, the books of the Torah, the Psalms and the Gospel, lived in their time — sent before. That person, that person among us, in the time of the Torah, the Psalms and the Gospel lived, learned of these books and finally, tasting death, was born again in our time — is he such a person? Died, born again in our time — is he such a person that, knowing the contents of these books, he should inform people about the past? Which person passed to the hereafter and then, in between, hundreds of years passed and was born again? When the soul reaches the throat, when he says ‘My Lord, send me back once more, see how I will worship You’, ‘Were We to send you back not once but several times, you would do the same again’, He says; when that soul in the world has filled its time, its lifetime, and has proved what kind of person it is, when its journey to the hereafter begins, on that journey of no return it goes to the world of barzakh . It waits there until the Day of Judgement.
Yes.
Moreover, let it be known that with your hands you made distortions and destruction, the verses that did not suit you you replaced with those that suit you. Though you see the verses of the books in your hands in the Holy Quran and know it, is this a fabricated book written by someone other than Allah, that you give such judgments? No. It is a true book that explains and confirms the earlier books and prophets, sent by the Lord of the worlds. It is not a fabrication of the Prophet or a fabrication of someone who taught him. Yes.
