(Oh My Messenger!) If they deny you, say; “My matters are up to me and your matters are up to you. You are far from what I am doing and I am far from what you are doing.”
Tafsir
Allah (swt) calmed Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) and said: O Prophet! Say to them: My affair belongs to me. That is, I am responsible to Allah (swt) for what I do, and your deeds belong to you. In other words, you are responsible to Allah (swt), the Lord of the worlds, for what you have done.
You are far from what I do; I have surrendered to Allah, who created me, and I worship only Allah, the Lord of the worlds. You do not do what I do and you are far from my faith and devotion to Allah. I do not do what you do. For I do not associate anything with the Lord of the worlds, nor do I rebel against Allah, nor do I disbelieve in Him and abandon Him. And I am far from you because you disbelieve in Allah by associating partners with Him.
What is said in the video
Yes, we read verse 40, and to verse 41 we have come: My Messenger, if they deny you, say: my deeds are mine and your deeds are yours; you are far from what I do, and I am far from what you do. How beautifully Allah Almighty says it, yes. If they deny you, say: I, my deeds are mine and your deeds are yours. Now in this case, in this case this verse seems to be manifesting itself upon me. Superstitions have settled into Islam, all the superstitions have joined together; when the superstitious speak, they show neither a verse nor a hadith. According to their own minds, within their own will, with talk, they try to spread (?) over the truth.
And although we prove the word of truth to them with verses, they all stand against it. So here: to you yours, and mine to me.
So the Prophet too was alone like this against the polytheists, against the disbelievers, against people. If they deny you, say, it says; if they deny you, say: my deeds are mine and your deeds are yours. People with verses and hadiths do not speak against the word of Allah. With their own mind's measure, with that short mind, this mind created incomplete, without knowledge, knowing a little Arabic, speculating about the verses, speculation, people who speak words unrelated to the verse; in this age they are ruled by superstitions, all of the same mind, people of the same source, together; and we have stood up against them; we call out to the whole world with verses.
Now the world is on one side and we on the other. Now, if one who knows the truth returns to the truth and abides by the verse, he is the exception. If he stands against these verses, your deeds are yours, and our deeds are ours. I do not judge by my own mind. I judge by the verses of Allah. But that superstitious one judges by his own mind and stands against the verse. Those listening here also know this; I do not say this as a product of my own mind; it is happening before our eyes, because people are ruled by superstitions; unaware of Allah's verses, a man recites a verse, God forbid, it has nothing to do with it, nothing at all, I mean with the topic being discussed. As long as they say, the man recited a verse.
What kind of understanding is this, what kind of whim of the nafs, what kind of pride; with the temptation Satan gives, and as a result of that temptation, out of his ego, without fearing Allah, he does this.
If they had fear of Allah, they would not come out with the whims of their nafs and speak lies and errors. We tell people: brother, tell me a verse, convince me from a verse, but don't tell me from Ahmet's book or Mehmet's book; tell me from my Lord's book, I say, from here, tell me from Allah's book, I say. He knows nothing of hadith, nothing of the verse, and hadith he doesn't know at all, he doesn't know which hadith corresponds to which verse.
Hadiths correspond to verses. A hadith that has no corresponding verse is not a hadith. What kind of understanding is this, what kind of scholar's title does he give himself, with what kind of Arabic does he say: it's like this in Muslim, like this in Bukhari, like this in Tirmidhi, and passes off as hadith many words that don't agree with one another.
Last week I told you which is a hadith and which is not. And I showed you a verse corresponding to it. That is the hadith.
What was it?
My sahaba are like the stars in the sky. Whichever of them you follow, you find the truth, it says.
In another it says: my ashab are like the stars in the sky. Whichever of them you follow, you find the truth, it says. One is a hadith, the other is not.
The ashab are those who sat and conversed with the Prophet (peace be upon him). If you follow them, you find the truth. And in the verse for you, in Surah At-Tawbah, verse 100, Surah At-Tawbah, sir, verse 100, exactly,
yes: in entering the religion of Islam, the first forerunners among the Muhajirun and the Ansar, those who went ahead, it says. Here too there is a separate sign. It does not mean those after them. The forerunners among the Muhajirun, that is, the first to come. Allah Almighty is symbolizing it here. Now it comes. It doesn't mean the later Muhajirun anyway. The first forerunners among the Muhajirun and the Ansar, and those who followed them in goodness, there are those, it says. How beautifully it says it. Those who followed them in goodness: Allah is pleased with them. And they are pleased with Allah.
So: my ashab are like the stars in the sky. Whichever of them you follow, you find the truth. This is what the verse corresponds to. Do you know which verse a hadith corresponds to? With fabricated words you accuse Allah, you slander the Prophet, and then you say this man doesn't know hadith, you say he denies the hadiths. With that superstitious mind of yours. With that false belief of yours.
Yes.
What does it say? My Messenger, if they deny you, say: my deeds are mine, and your deeds are yours. You are far from what I do, and I am far from what you do. I call out to them in exactly the same way. I am far from your falsehood. I say: let us abide by the verses of Allah and be with my Lord. Let us be with my Lord. With what? With Allah's verses. I am with these. Not with your superstitious idea, not with your own ideology that you broadened according to your mind. If you had knowledge, in the Quran more than 504 verses wrong, (?), you would not abide by them. And then you would not pass yourself off as a scholar.
Allah Almighty, the Beloved of the Most Majestic, Muhammad (peace be upon him), comforting him: O My Beloved, say to them: my deeds are mine. I alone am responsible to Allah Almighty for what I do. And your deeds are yours. That is, you too, for what you do, to Allah Almighty, the Lord of the worlds, are responsible. His saying, you are far from what I do: I, to Allah who created me, have submitted. Yes. I worship only Allah, the Lord of the worlds. You do not do what I do, and from my faith in and devotion to Allah you are far. Nor do I do what you do, because to the Lord of the worlds I associate nothing as partner.
I do not rebel against Allah. I never abandon Him by denying Him. Because you associate partners with Allah and deny Allah, I too am far from you, He says.
I too am far from such superstitions. Because look to your right, someone is talking superstition. Look to your left, someone is talking superstition. You speak the truth. The man looks at you absent-mindedly like this. He can't understand. And the one who understands says, friend, we're done for. He understands, but says we're done for, what shall we do? What does we're done for mean? What does what shall we do mean? Man is a student from the cradle to the grave. Man is not free of error. Allah Almighty created our minds incomplete. Of course we will err. Of course we will make mistakes. But when we find what is right, when we hear the truth, if we do not abide by it, then the responsibility is loaded onto both our shoulders.
What does we're done for mean? Then learn. Know the truth, return to the Truth.
