After him, We have sent many Messengers to their people. They brought miracles but they were not to believe in something they had denied before. This is how the transgressors make their hearts sealed.
Tafsir
Then when Allah says, "We sent our Prophets to many tribes after Prophet Noah", as we have explained in our previous lessons, Allah created the souls of their own people from the souls of each Prophet. That is why We sent many Prophets to their own communities.
These Prophets also brought them many miracles. But they were not going to believe in that which they had previously denied, because in response to Allah's address (in Kalu Bela) that I am your Lord, these people betrayed Allah while they were there as spirits, because they did not recognize Allah and denied Him.
He says that they will not believe in that which they denied before, reminding those who believe in Allah's Prophets and His Essence (Elestu bi Rabbikum) that since they originally denied Allah, they will not believe in Allah, because We have written their desires, wishes and wills as destiny for them. Therefore, they will not find the truth. This is how the transgressors have had their hearts sealed.
Allah, Who has given the will of every human being into His own hands, has given them their own desires and wishes as their destiny. It is because they disbelieved in Allah at the beginning (Kalu Bela) that Allah (swt) has destined for them a way of life that they desire. If Allah (swt) had compelled people who did not desire to believe in and know Allah (swt) to know His Essence, He would have removed the will from the hands of people, He would have imposed His will on people, and He would have removed from people the concept of rewards and sins. Life would have become unbearable because people would have been forced to live a life they did not want to live. In this respect, all human beings are left free in their will, and each person has written his or her own will and character to Allah (swt) as his or her destiny.
If people's desires and wishes are to deny Allah, then their hearts are sealed to know Allah because Allah has written their desires as their destiny. The meaning of the seal here is that while people have the ability to recognize and know Allah in their own nature, they turn their backs on this ability, do not use it, and dry up that vein by blunting it, so that in such a person, there is no way for this trait to come to life again. Since these traits of the disbelievers have dried up, they are sealed, meaning that it is not possible for them to return to their Lord.
These are the ones who have had their hearts sealed by not recognizing Allah. They will never be guided again in eternity. Allah (swt) knows the desires and wishes of a people who will go beyond the limits in the eternal state, so He exposes them to people.
What is said in the video
Surah Yunus, verse 74. The part that is interpreted wrongly is this: "Thus We seal the hearts of the transgressors," says Allah Almighty. This is a wrong interpretation. A wrong interpretation. Allah Almighty does not remove any person's will from him and use His own will to seal people's hearts because of the mistakes they made. People who had their wishes and desires written as their destiny, people who had their intentions written as their destiny, within their own will, with their wishes and desires, had themselves programmed. For example, what is this like? Someone commits a crime, the judge gives him a sentence.
It is not the judge who gives this sentence. Because the person himself deserved this sentence, by the law, in the light of those laws and statutes, the person has himself imprisoned. It is not that the judge, by his own will, imprisons him. He does not even give him that crime. Allah Almighty is exactly the same. He created people for His Self, so that His Self would be known. If a person denies Allah and waits for the Lord of his imagination and turns his back on Allah, he has had himself programmed with his own wishes and desires. In that case you cannot blame Allah Almighty. What do you say there?
"Thus We seal the hearts of these transgressors." And then we were created flawed. Yes. We were created flawed. The moment we were created flawed, because we were created flawed, we will (?), we will commit mistakes. Indeed, what does Allah Almighty say? If you had been seized immediately for the mistakes you made, you would not find a single living being that came on earth. That is one. "If you had never committed mistakes, We would destroy you and create in your place servants who commit mistakes," says Allah Almighty. And in that case, as long as the door of repentance is open, that is, until the soul reaches the throat and that door of repentance closes, Allah Almighty forgives and pardons people, provided of course that they return to His Self.
In that case, if Allah Almighty also seals the hearts of the transgressors, then: "I was going to return, You created me deficient, I committed mistakes, I lived through a period of ignorance, and now that You have sealed my heart, it is no longer possible for me to return," he would say, and an attribute is ascribed to Allah. For example, we gave the example of Wahshi; he martyred Hamza. Then, when he later became Muslim, he was (?) pardoned. He became one of the Companions, a Sahabi, Hamza, I mean Wahshi. So in that case, people have their own hearts sealed themselves. In the text written correctly here: "Thus the transgressors have their hearts sealed." That is, and also people who do not return to the truth.
And what is in the other one? That too is people who do not return to the truth. When we put it this way, one has it sealed himself by his desire, while for the other, Allah has sealed it by His own will because he transgressed. The transgressors had repentance. When the transgressors repented, Allah Almighty would forgive them; so at this point, because there is a deficiency, because an attribute is ascribed to Allah, that part has been interpreted wrongly. "Thus the transgressors have their hearts sealed."
We read the verse again: "Then after him We sent many prophets to their own peoples."
Allah Almighty, so that people may attain guidance, sends them prophets. Of course people, in the times they lived in, can hardly believe in people they see as like themselves as prophets, and they hesitate. In that case some of them show us miracles. Allah Almighty shows these miracles to the prophets when they wish it. And those who do not believe in them, who deny them, are destroyed.
They bring miracles, but they were not going to believe in what they had denied before. So what is it that they denied before? It is their denial of Allah. What they denied before: Allah Almighty says, "They are lying disbelievers," doesn't He? So here, they were not going to believe in what they had denied before. "Thus the transgressors have their hearts sealed." Then Allah Almighty's saying, "After Noah (peace be upon him) We sent to many peoples their own prophets," means, as we explained in our earlier lessons, that Allah Almighty created from the soul of each prophet the souls of his own people.
From the soul of each prophet the souls of his own people were created. That is why He says, "We sent many prophets to their own peoples." To their own peoples, to their own brothers, He says; to their own peoples, He says, yes, "We sent."
And these prophets brought them many miracles. But they were not going to believe in what they had denied before. This is said because, in response to Allah Almighty's address at Qalu Bala, "I am your Lord," these people, while there in the state of souls, betrayed Allah and denied Allah by not recognizing Him. These places, this sentence we have said, is a sentence that requires knowledge. That is, it must be made understood; it is a point that needs to be made understood. When some people cannot grasp these places, people who think themselves among the scholars stand up here against the truth.
Like what? Now let's open that up. "But they were not going to believe in what they had denied before." Where did they deny Allah Almighty? Let's open this up a bit more deeply, or rather a bit more broadly.
Another of the wrongly interpreted verses was Surah Al-A'raf, verse 172. You know: "From the offspring of the children of Adam We took out their (?). We made a covenant with them." God forbid. There is no such thing. The interpretation of that verse too is "will emerge." From the children of Adam, will emerge from the children of Adam. They take them wrongly. That coming out from their loins, you know. That coming out from their loins becomes as if they had actually come out. He made a covenant with them. And then they say it is unclear whether in the mother's womb, or at the age of reason, or in the hereafter.
If you say He both took them out of the loins and made a covenant with them, where does this nonsense come from? So then: We made emerge from the son of Adam. "We made emerge," it already says it there, look.
It will emerge from Adam; they haven't come yet, but they will come, will emerge. (?). Ve eşhedehüm. That says: We made a covenant. We made them witnesses according to their own selves. Enfüsihim. I made him witness against his own self. Elestü bi rabbiküm? "I am your Lord," I said, He says. "I am your Lord" is a definite command. Elestü, in Arabic, is a definite command. When it is taken as "Am I not?", it already falls wrong with respect to the covenants. You know, man will see and know his own creation. And Allah Almighty will say to me: "Am I not your Lord? You deny Me." So how did their denial there come about?
Allah Almighty created the souls over there. (?) a darkness, which corresponds to this hadith. Allah created the souls in a (?) darkness. He sprinkled something of His light on them. Whoever received of that light found his way. Whoever could not receive of that light lost his way, went astray. A verse. Yes.
I mean, a hadith. What does the hadith say? Allah (?) the souls, created them in darkness, sprinkled something of His spirit on them, something of His light He sprinkled; whoever received of that light found his way, whoever could not receive of that light lost his way, went astray. What is this? In that realm of Lahut, those souls in three groups, all the souls, when He said "I am your Lord," when He said "I am your Lord," the subtle point about the people there is now here. Because Allah Almighty gave a part of His spirit, from His own Self He defined people with forms. Because He created man close to His Self, when He said there "I created you," man cannot believe his Lord.
For example, now, God forbid, there is no fault in a comparison. I will say: "I am your Lord, I created you." Could you easily believe me? Let alone that, prophets come from among them. Even though they say, "I am a messenger sent to you by your Lord," people do not believe. They don't believe. Not even the prophets. Now in that case, because Allah Almighty held man as the addressee of His Self and gave him a part of His spirit, He created people close to His Self, and that is the point they cannot grasp. Here, those, ve ashabü'l-meş'emeti ma ashabü'l-meş'eme, those of the left, their rebellion against Allah Almighty: because they saw Him as like themselves, they wait for the Lord of their imagination.
Their imagination. And Allah Almighty knows how they wait for the Lord of their imagination. From where? Descending from the clouds together with angels, or He Himself will destroy the one who says "I am your Lord." He Himself will make Himself known to people with majesty, and they will prostrate themselves. That is what they wait for. Yet, in view of the great value Allah Almighty gave to man, His saying in front of them "I am your Lord," and the Prophet beside Him saying "Yes, this is our Lord," (?) to people; because the people there were waiting for the Lord of their own imagination, they denied there.
"They are lying disbelievers," says Allah Almighty in His verse. And as a side support for this, "They will not see their Lord," says this verse. It is very meaningful. "They will not see their Lord." Those unaware of these verses say this: "The disbelievers will be gathered there blind." And the other one says, no, it indicates that Allah Almighty will be seen in Paradise. Yet when it says "they will not see their Lord," those non-Muslims will not see the Lord of their imagination that they wait for. This symbolizes tawhid. La ilahe illallah. Yes. How beautifully they all symbolize each other in the verse.
Now here too, "But they were not going to believe in what they had denied before" means that those of the left, the non-Muslims He calls ve ashabü'l-meş'emeti ma ashabü'l-meş'eme, are not going to believe in Allah. Because they took their conduct and their characters, and had their wishes written as their destiny. In return for those destinies, they had characters loaded on themselves in that way. When wishes and desires begin, when they come into the world, Allah Almighty creates causes for them. Everyone bears witness to what kind of person he is. "Did you think that you would die without proving what kind of person you are?" The verses.
Look, the verses all support each other beautifully. The verses. There is no opening it up like this.
Yes, this is the knowledge of the Quran.
In response to Allah Almighty's address at Qalu Bala, "I am your Lord," these people there, while in the state of souls, betrayed Allah and denied Him by not recognizing Allah; that is why. This sentence sums up what I explained. In this sense it is a sentence that corresponds to the verses.
And these prophets had brought them many miracles. "But they were not going to believe in what they had denied before": this is because earlier, at that Elest, at Qalu Bala, in response to the address "I am your Lord," these people there, in the state of souls, betrayed Allah and denied Him by not recognizing Allah; that is why. So they were not going to believe in what they had denied before. His saying this reminds the prophets of Allah Almighty, and those who believe in His Self and have faith, of Elestü bi rabbiküm: since they denied Allah at the origin, there is no way they will believe in Allah. "Because We wrote their wishes and desires, their intentions, as their destiny.
Therefore they will not find the right way either," He says. Thus the transgressors have had their hearts sealed. The transgressors. Allah, who gave each person's will into his own hands, saw people's own wishes and desires as their destiny. Thus at the origin, in the first barzakh, at Qalu Bala, through their denial of Allah, Allah Almighty made the way of life they wanted their destiny. The people who did not desire to believe in and know Allah Almighty: had Allah Almighty compelled people toward knowing His Self, He would have removed the partial will in people's hands. He would have imposed His own will over people, which would also have removed reward and sin from people.
Now, here a second knowledge emerges. A second knowledge.
These are the places people have covered up. A covenant. My covenant there, my making a covenant with Allah Almighty while in the state of souls. Today a topic came up somewhere. Some topics were touched upon somewhere. And there we came to the covenant. We said: do you know what the covenant is? "What does covenant mean?" he says. A Muslim, a respectable person who knows his five daily prayers very well. "What does covenant mean?" he says. We said: in the realm of souls. When Allah Almighty created the souls and they were divided into three groups there, when He said "I am your Lord," He made a covenant with each soul.
"Allah, Allah," he says. "Is there such a thing?" It says so. In the Holy Quran, in Surah Al-A'raf (?), Allah Almighty says, "We made a covenant with you." He says so, but what kind of thing is it? Good. We began, we (?) them a little, we talked to them. They are amazed. They listen with admiration. With admiration. They have covered this place up anyway. They have covered this place up from people. They have tied everything to the world. In that case, they made people forget Allah's majesty and power, where people came from at first, at the origin, and to cast doubt on the places they will enter and (?) to distance them from Allah, they tried to push the person of religion out.
The matter of the covenant is very important. At first we came from the realm of the hereafter, our original homeland; we came from the place where we were created, and finally "every soul shall taste death, and your return is to Me." According to this verse, after our account is settled in the court here, we will return to our original homelands. Where is our original homeland? Either Paradise or Hell. Because there is no death for souls. We said a second piece of knowledge; the knowledge emerges here. The partial will, irade-i cüz'iye. And when we stand up against people, people who call themselves religious scholars are confused here. What are they confused about?
I say: Allah Almighty, as long as I live, within my lifetime, has in no way His will over me. His will is not there. Allah Almighty will not interfere in what I do. Yes. If He had a ruling over me, if Allah Almighty had a ruling over me, removing my will from me and using His own will over me, then would an attribute not be ascribed to Allah? For example, people who do not know these things say, "Allah wrote my destiny like this." "What can I do? It was in my destiny like this," he says. That destiny is, according to your (?) wish, the return for what you yourself did, for the deeds you brought about. Does Allah have a ruling over you here?
Does Allah tell you to kill a man? Does Allah tell you to drink alcohol? Does Allah tell you to go and gamble? Does Allah tell you to commit adultery? Does Allah tell you to eat what is haram? You do these yourself; how can you pin this on Allah? And where does Allah have a ruling over this, over you? Where does He have a ruling? You also know reward and sin through the deeds you bring about. And since you know reward and sin, why do you blame Allah here?
These are important points. The partial will. People don't know this place either. They have covered this up too. What is the partial will? The partial will is, through the decisions you make, through the deeds you bring about, the reward and sin you earn. What was the partial will? Let me say it once more: the partial will is, through the decisions you make according to your wish and desire, through the deeds you carry out, the reward and sin you earn; within your partial will, within your decision, within your ruling. You cannot mix Allah into this. Allah has in no way a ruling over people on earth.
Only, Allah Almighty appoints our provision according to the covenants we gave. Within our destinies, He does not give more of our provision. Nor less. He gives it in full. In a way I can bear. According to which verse?
"That you cannot bear," He says. "We do not place on you any task," He says. Yes. "We do not lay on your back any task you cannot bear," He says. So what is this "any task we cannot bear"? Within our destiny, the events within our power as a result of the covenant we were given: by reducing and (?) them for us, within that power He makes us witnesses against ourselves. He has us made witnesses to those around us and to Allah, against Allah's (?). So here too one must know this partial will very well. And if every person knew that he is responsible to (?) for the things he did, knew he is responsible to his Creator, today's immorality, plundering, mistrust of one another, swindling one another would disappear.
Muslims are brothers. Between brothers there is no (?) revenge of one against the other. Indeed, every person makes mistakes. In that case, if a brother wishes evil for his brother, unity and togetherness fall apart. There, Islamic (?) disappears.
They have covered these places up like this too. They have covered these places up like this too, and dragged people into (?). We read that again, this paragraph. So they are not going to believe in what they denied before. (?): reminding the prophets of Allah Almighty, and those who believe in His Self and have faith, of Elestü bi rabbiküm, since they denied Allah at the origin, there is no way they will believe in Allah.
"Because We wrote their wishes and desires, their intentions, as their destiny. Therefore they will not find the right way either," He says. Thus the transgressors have had their hearts sealed. Yes. In the address Elestü bi rabbiküm, to people whose partial will is (?), Allah Almighty, according to people's wishes and desires, writing their destinies.
"Had We willed, We would have created you as a single community," says Allah Almighty. He would create within His ruling. "Had We willed, We would have created you as a single community." Allah Almighty would have programmed us within His power. Like the other angels or beings, we too would worship Him. But He left people and jinn free in their own will. And they are responsible to Allah Almighty for what they themselves do.
Allah, who gave each person's will into his own hands, has given people their own wishes and desires as their destiny. Thus at the origin, in the first barzakh, at Qalu Bala, through their denial of Allah, Allah Almighty wrote the way of life they wanted as their destiny. Had Allah Almighty compelled the people who did not desire to believe in and know Allah Almighty toward knowing His Self, He would have removed the partial will in people's hands and imposed His own will over people, which would also have removed reward and sin from people. Yes.
I hope what I am explaining is understood, inshallah.
Harun Bin Ali, you probably understand what I am explaining.
And because people would be forced into a life they did not want, life, that is, living, would become unbearable. Therefore, all people being left free in their will, each person with his own intention had Allah Almighty write his characters as destiny.
So if people's wishes and desires are the denial of Allah, Harun Bilal says, "Yes, Hodja." Yes. Now pay close attention to these sentences. Pay close attention to this tafsir I have written. From beginning to end, in four thousand pages, you will not find words contradicting each other. And all of it, in the light of the verses, so beautifully and consistently with each other, explains the truth and reality. I mean, I am not saying this because I wrote it. Through Allah's direct inspiration and His having it written Himself, well, our Lord gave, to the time, to the people of the time, truths; an ocean of knowledge given to bring out the superstitions.
"And because people would be forced into a life they did not want": so, now what does it say here?
Had He removed the partial will from people's hands, He would have imposed over people His own will, which means Allah Almighty would also have removed reward and sin from people. And because people would be forced into a life they did not want, life, that is, living, would become unbearable. Now if Allah Almighty had loaded on me something I did not want, (?) my own wishes, what would happen? I couldn't bear it. But within my own wish and desire, my eagerness, whatever I (?), if He loaded such characters on me, and since He also brought people suited to such characters from the same peoples, people among themselves, within their own understanding, colouring their lives more, through the deeds they will carry out, more easily, through the deeds they do, through the reward and sin they earn, before Allah Almighty, against themselves and those around, are made witnesses.
Very beautiful. Allah Almighty has set up a law, an order for people. A very beautiful order. No one will be able to say, "You made me do this, You made me do that." Yes. Therefore, all people being left free in their will, each person, with his own intention, had Allah Almighty write his characters as destiny. So if people's wishes and desires are the denial of Allah, since Allah wrote their wishes as their destiny, with respect to knowing Allah their hearts are sealed. Their hearts. The meaning of the seal here: while people have in their own nature the ability to recognize and know Allah, it is turning their back on these abilities, not using them, and blinding and drying up that vein, so that in such a person this quality, that is, a side of it that could come to life again, no longer remains.
The deniers were sealed because these qualities of theirs dried up. That is, it no longer being possible for it to come to life again, for him to return to his Lord, is what it means. Yes. Allah Almighty, as (?) knowledge, gives us a mind. That is, even though He gives every person a mind that knows he was created by a Lord, when the person who denies the Lord before him, the one who created him, and waits for the Lord of his imagination, living in those feelings, has that vein of his dry up, he no longer has (?) to bring that vein back to his self and to life. Just as when a person's arm is cut off, or his leg is cut off, that leg will never come back in its place.
So that vein of denial too, the vein of denying Allah, if in a person it (?) in his self, the vein of denial, if it has dried up that vein of awareness, he no longer has the ability to recognize Allah.
So these, by not recognizing Allah, have had their hearts sealed. These will never again come to the right, to the right path. Allah Almighty, since He knows from pre-eternity and in essence the wishes and desires of a heart that will transgress, exposes these to people, it says. Exposing.
He makes all their qualities known to people.
