Yunus 73: They still denied him, and We saved him and those with him who were on the ship and made them viceroys (on earth). And We drowned those who denied Our verses (in the sea). See the end of those (deniers) who were warned.

Tafsir
Despite all these warnings of Hadrat Noah, his people still did not listen to Hadrat Noah. So Allah (swt) made Hazrat Noah (peace be upon him) build an ark. He told him to take those who believed in him and a couple from each of the creatures and put them on the ship. Then the ship was completed, and a couple from the creatures were taken on board, along with those who believed in Hazrat Noah (peace be upon him). Then Allah (swt) causes a deluge and the earth is flooded. He destroys all creatures except Noah and his ark. He saves those who follow Allah and His messenger. He makes them the caliphs of the earth.
Although people were already the caliphs of the earth, Hazrat Noah 'alaihis-salâm' said to those who were in his ship, "I have made them the caliphs of the earth"; Humanity started from our ancestor Hazrat Adam and spread. Then, when people became excessive on the earth and overstepped the limits, all humanity was destroyed at the time of Hazrat Noah (peace be upon him). He says, "I have made them the caliphs of the earth" because He saved those who boarded the ark with Hadrat Noah and multiplied the people after Hadrat Noah (peace be upon him).
O Messenger of Allah! What is the end of those who do not return to the truth after all these warnings? They will be tormented in this world and they will be tormented in the Hereafter with an eternal torment that will never end.
O people! Allah (swt) is displaying all these miracles in front of your eyes, repeating His verses over and over again, with different meanings, in a way that every mind can comprehend. He is waiting for people to return to Allah. And with the gift of reason that He has given to human beings, every human being knows his Lord. So what is happening to you, disbelieving in Allah and His Messenger? By opposing the true religion of Allah, Islam, you envy the doom of so many people.

They both met a punishment in the world and in the hereafter, to an eternal punishment that never ends or runs out, they will be subjected.
So, O people! Allah Almighty lays so many miracles before your eyes, repeats His verses again and again, with different meanings, in a way every mind can grasp, He explains. He waits for people to turn to Allah. And with the blessing of reason He gave people, every person knows his Lord. So what is the matter with you? You deny Allah and His Messenger. Opposing Allah's true religion, the religion of Islam, you covet the end of so many people who were destroyed. Yes.
