Translation

They (the idolaters) almost make you go astray, so that you will attribute something wrongfully to Us other than what We have revealed to you, and only then accept you as a friend.

Tafsir

The polytheists do not accept anything that comes from Allah, and since they are enemies of Allah, they are enemies of those who say Allah. In this respect, they were also enemies of the Prophet (s.a.w.). However, despite their enmity towards the Prophet (pbuh), they could not harm the Prophet (pbuh). So they gathered together and offered bribes to the Prophet (s.a.w.) in order to bend him to them, that is, to turn him to their side. If the Prophet (PBUH) does what the polytheists say, then they will accept Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as their dear friend.

By making the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) their friend, they would abolish the religion of Islam, and by turning the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) to them, they would feel strong against Allah and think that they were safe. However, if the world and the universe were on one side and Allah were on the other side, the Messenger of Allah, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) would take his place on the side of Allah by drawing a sword of la against the universe. (feintawellev fegul hasbiyallahu La ilahe illa hu aleyhi tawakkeltu vehüve Rab'bul arshil azim) If the whole universe is on one side and the Messenger of Allah is on the other side, say: Allah, the Owner of the Great Throne, is enough for me.

With these examples, Allah is entrusting people with the truth. With the difficulties that every rational person faces in the world, or with the material wealth that is offered to them, they exchange Allah and the Hereafter for worldly wealth, which is a pity for their souls. Everything is temporary and mortal. Surely people will taste death one day, and they will leave the wealth they have earned in this world. To Allah belongs the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. People will take with them to the Hereafter only the rewards for the wealth they have spent for the sake of Allah. May Allah (swt) enable us to pass on to the Hereafter without being deceived by the world, without compromising Allah and His Messenger, with the love of Allah and our faith in our hearts, by continuing to obey and worship Allah until the end of our lives, and by saying Allah at the end of our lives.

What is said in the video

We have come to Surah Al-Isra, verse 73. "The polytheists, so that you would falsely ascribe to Us something other than what We revealed to you, were about to turn you away from what We revealed to you, and only then would they have taken you as a close friend," it says. The polytheists thought they would turn the Prophet (peace be upon him) away from what Allah gave, from what He revealed. Whereas what does he say before that? "Even if they gave me the moon in one hand and the sun in the other, from Allah's path I would never compromise," says the Prophet (peace be upon him).

Just as the polytheists accept nothing that comes from Allah, being enemies of Allah they are also enemies of those who say "Allah". For this reason they became enemies of the Prophet (peace be upon him) too. But although they did all the hostility they could to the Prophet (peace be upon him), they could do the Prophet (peace be upon him) no harm. Thereupon, gathering together, in order to bind the Prophet (peace be upon him) to themselves, that is, to be able to turn him to their side, they offered him bribes. Yes. They come to Abu Talib.

They say: if he has an illness, let us have him treated. Let us give him the keys of Mecca. Let us give him as many wives as he wants. Let us give him a hundred camels. Whatever he wants, let us give him. So they say. They offer bribes. Yes. If the Prophet (peace be upon him) does what the polytheists say, then they will take Muhammad (peace be upon him) as a close friend.

By these people taking the Prophet (peace be upon him) as a friend, thereby doing away with the new Islam, and by turning Allah's Messenger to their side, they will feel strong against Allah and think that they are safe. But Allah's Messenger, Muhammad (peace be upon him), not just the world, even if the universe were on one side, on one side, and Allah on the other, he would draw the sword of "la" against the universe and take his place at Allah's side. Because our Lord Himself educated him, and educated him well. Fe in tevellev fe kul hasbiyallâhu lâ ilâhe illâ hüve aleyhi tevekkeltü ve hüve rabbü'l-arşi'l-azîm. Even if the whole universe were on one side and Allah's Messenger on the other: say, Allah, the Lord of the great Throne, is enough for me.

Through these examples Allah entrusts the truth to people. The truth. Every person of reason, with the hardships he faces in the world or with the material riches offered to them, wronging their own souls, Allah and the hereafter for worldly goods to exchange; everything is temporary and passing.

We used an incomplete wording here. Every person of reason, with the hardships he faces in the world or with the material riches offered to them, wronging their own souls, they exchange Allah and the hereafter for worldly goods. That is what we will say.

Yes. Everything is temporary and passing. Surely people will one day taste death and, leaving the wealth they earned in the world, depart. In the verse: the heavens and the earth and what is between them belong to Allah. That is, every soul will taste death; the inheritance of the heavens and the earth will remain to Allah, says Allah Almighty.

From the world, people will take to the hereafter only, for the wealth they gave in charity for Allah's sake, its return as reward. May Allah Almighty grant us, without being deceived in the world, without compromising on Allah and His Messenger, setting out with the love of Allah in our hearts and our faith, until the end of our lives continuing in obedience and worship to Allah, and at the end of our lives, saying "Allah", to pass on to the hereafter.
