Al-Isra 82: We are sending from the Qur’an (Verses) that are a cure and mercy for the mu’min. But for the oppressors; these will only increase their loss.

Surah Al-Isra, verse 82 says: We send down from the Quran something that is healing and mercy for the believers. And for the wrongdoers it only increases their loss. Yes.

Now pay attention to the verse. We send down from the Quran something that is healing and mercy for the believers. And for the wrongdoers it only increases their loss, it says. The Quran does not increase the loss of the wrongdoers.

Rather, when the wrongdoers hear the word of truth in the Quran, they only increase their own loss. That is, they increase the wrongs of their own selves. It is not the Quran that increases their wrongdoing. The Quran came down as a mercy to the worlds. People who cannot even grasp this have in this way ascribed attributes to Allah. They ascribe attributes to Allah. Now I will ask you — some people say this. You know, I'm skipping over it regarding the hodjas, but: the Quran came down to the Muslims. How does the Quran come down to the Muslims? The Quran, to the worlds — is Allah only the God of the Muslims?

Allah is the one God of the universe. Divine providence. Then is that Creator a wrongdoer, that among His servants He should discriminate? So the Quran came down as a mercy not only to the Muslim person but to the worlds. Then how could the Quran increase the wrongdoing of the wrongdoer?

The wrongdoer increases his wrongdoing by his own will. Yes. What do we say? We send down from the Quran something that for the believers is healing and mercy. The wrongdoers only increase their loss with it, it says. That is, as a mercy to the worlds, as radiance, as light, as proof, if man turns his back on this Noble Quran He sent — We send down such things that We send down mercy for people. As long as the believers hold fast to it, they find mercy. But when they turn their backs on it, they increase their loss. That is, they increase their wrong against their own selves. Yes. By creating the human mind deficient, Allah, when people, within their own will, make mistakes, through their repentance, has willed (?).

So that they expect guidance from Allah, present their helplessness to Allah, and expect from Him help that will hold a light before them, in this way Allah Almighty created people deficient in mind.

Since Allah Almighty knows what the people He created will claim, by sending down the Noble Quran — after which no prophet or book will come again — to the Seal of the Prophets, Muhammad (peace be upon him), He has held a light before humankind. Whoever clings often, clings tightly, to the Quran Allah sent down and, realizing their own deficiency, in their helplessness, by the word that Allah, who created them and the worlds, holds as a light before them, abides — these people come to life. Both in the world and in the hereafter they attain Allah's mercy. While living in the world, as they see the truths in the face of Allah's verses, these people's faith increases.

They attain peace. Through their trust in Allah, rewards with their Lord they attain. And whoever does not believe in Allah and the hereafter, and out of hatred and arrogance opposes Allah's commands and goes the way their own minds show, in them too a distress of heart, a tightness inside arises, and just as they cannot find eternal peace, in the face of Allah's word of truth, the more they hear the truth, out of hatred and arrogance, they come into a state that (?) the clouds in the sky. So as long as these continue in this state, since they oppose the verses of the Quran, their disbelief increases. For this reason, the Quran increases the faith of the believer and the disbelief of the disbeliever.
