Translation

And when We seize their wealth with a calamity, they immediately start to cry out.

Tafsir

Those who live far away from Allah, those who deny Allah and the Hereafter, have tied all their wealth and security to matter, so when Allah gives them a hardship or a calamity, when He takes away their wealth, they wail and cry out. This is because they have been stripped of the branches they cling to and the substance that makes them human beings. This person is now a pariah among people.

O human being! Wealth, property and possessions belong to Allah. All souls will taste death and Allah will inherit the heavens and the earth. Therefore, the wealth and property given to you during your life is a trust. When you use this trust, by the way you behave towards it, you are a witness against your surroundings, yourself and Allah (swt). If you leave Allah (swt) behind, if you value the wealth and property that Allah (swt) has given to people to keep them as witnesses to Him, more than Allah (swt), if you trust in your wealth and do not trust in Allah (swt), then in the face of such a calamity, you will feel isolated and alone among people. You see that you are finished, and you writhe in loneliness.

So, turn to your Lord, surrender to Him and be content with whatever comes from Him, and you will be at peace. Allah is the guarantor of your sustenance. He opens the door on you from unknown directions, and you neither feel lonely among people with your absence, nor do you feel lonely.

What is said in the video

Surah Al-Mu'min, verse 64 — we have come to this verse.

At last, when We seize those of them living in prosperity and abundance with hardship or punishment, you see that they raise an outcry. Yes. Now, when they are in abundance, everything is perfect. As he pleases, in his own world, Paradise is his. Well, he even worships nicely. In his own way he is close to Allah. Well, but when a little hardship comes, that's when his inner being, his feelings, come out into the open. What does it say? Let's see what it says. Those who live far from Allah, who deny Allah and the hereafter, since they have tied all their existence and security to matter, when Allah gives them a hardship or a calamity, when He takes their property from their hands, they keep wailing and crying out.

Because what they held on to has broken, and the matter that made them count as human has left their hands. Now this person, among people, in his own view, is excluded. Yes. This is the state of non-Muslims. And what does a Muslim say? He says exactly this: My Lord is putting me through a test. He says this. There are some tears in my eye. Well, they've taken my eye gauze from here. Bring it to me. Bring me my eye gauze. Well, in this case people, that is, Muslims — what do they do? He says: me — this is a test from my Lord, this is my Lord's test for me.

He says: Allah Almighty puts on no one's back a load they cannot bear. He leans his back on Allah. In this case, between the non-Muslim and the Muslim a chasm, a difference arises. One has leaned his back on the matter Allah created. The other has leaned his back on the One who created all these worlds.

He trusts Allah and relies on Allah. The other trusts only matter and relies on matter. In this case he is excluded among people because he has no money left, and he looks on himself as lowly and contemptible. Whereas when a Muslim leans his back on Allah, he is a human being, he is the noblest of creatures. Those who exclude him see themselves as the same in him. From that person. That is why in Islam, even if all his wealth in the world is gone from his hands, in the end, since the return is to Allah, he is content with what comes from Allah.

Yes.

So, O man, wealth, property and possessions belong to Allah. Every soul shall taste death. The inheritance of the heavens and the earth will remain to Allah. Then the wealth and property given to you during your life is a trust to you. In using this trust, through his conduct toward trusts, a person makes those around him, himself and Allah Almighty witnesses against himself. If you leave Allah and the wealth and property that Allah gave people so that they take themselves, those around, as witnesses — if you value it more than Allah, trust your wealth and do not trust Allah, then in the face of such a calamity you feel yourself excluded and alone among people.

You see that you are finished; you keep writhing in loneliness. So turn to your Lord, submit to Him and in every case be content with what comes from Him, so that you find peace. Allah guarantees your provision. He opens the door for you from unknown directions, and in your poverty you neither feel alone among people nor (?). Yes.

Neither the wealthy people nor the property owners — well, all of them, their bodies became dust. They themselves moved on to the hereafter. What did they take with them? From the world they could not take even (?). Only, through the deeds they did in the world, their rewards and sins they took with them. Yes. And if he gave charity with his wealth in the world — when He says: whoever buys Paradise with their wealth and lives — he has transferred his wealth, his outward worldly wealth, to the hereafter. Yes.
