Or do they not know their Prophet yet, and therefore deny?
Tafsir
The Prophet (SAW) grew up among the polytheists. Prophethood came to the Prophet (pbuh) at the age of forty. Until then, the Prophet (SAW) lived and grew up among the polytheists. The Prophet (PBUH) did not approve of any of the actions of the polytheists, and from his childhood onwards, his honesty and moral virtue earned him the title of Muhammad ul Amin among the polytheists and other people of the Book. They would consult him, as an arbitrator or judge, and act according to the fatwa given by the Prophet (SAW).
When the Prophethood came to the Prophet (pbuh) and he revealed himself and started inviting people to Allah, the polytheists and some of the people of the People of the Book opposed the Prophet (pbuh) and denied his Prophethood. He is saying that they did not recognize their glorious Prophet, who never told a lie until he revealed his Prophethood, and who took the title of Muhammad 'ul Amin, and that is why they disbelieved in his Prophethood.
What is said in the video
Surah Al-Mu'minun, verse 69. Yes.
Or is it that they have not yet recognized their Prophet, and that is why they deny him? it says. Or did they not recognize their Prophet? That is, when a man who is Allah's messenger and who constantly calls people to Allah says "I am a prophet", those who believe in the One Allah will of course believe in the one calling to Allah. "Yes, you are a prophet sent by your Lord," they say. But the deniers, with the feelings of the nafs, with pride and arrogance, oppose those prophets. They want the prophets to be wealthy. They want angels to come down from the sky beside him. Yes. That is, they want miracles.
Even if there were miracles, even if angels came from the sky, they still would not believe. Why? Because rebelliousness is in their nature. Rebelliousness. In this world too, with that character, they will prove what kind of people they are.
Surah Al-Mu'minun, verse 69. Or is it that they have not yet recognized their Prophet, and that is why they deny him? The Prophet (peace be upon him) grew up among the polytheists. Prophethood came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) at the age of 40. Until then, the Prophet (peace be upon him) lived among the polytheists and grew up there. The Prophet, who approved of none of the polytheists' deeds, (peace be upon him), honest since childhood, was given, through his moral virtue, among the polytheists and the other People of the Book, the title Muhammad al-Amin. In any impasse, too, they would, as he was arbiter and judge, consult him and act according to the ruling the Prophet (peace be upon him) gave.
Yes.
With prophethood coming to the Prophet (peace be upon him), and his disclosing it and beginning to invite people to the One Allah, some of the polytheists and of the People of the Book opposed the Prophet (peace be upon him) and denied his prophethood. So, their glorious Prophet, who never told a lie until he disclosed his prophethood and who received the title Muhammad al-Amin — did they not recognize him until this time, and is that why they opposed their Prophet and denied him? — says Allah Almighty. Yes.
