Tafsir
Or are they saying that Prophets are also insane? Are you saying that an illustrious person whom they have been following for forty years, a Prophet whom you called Muhammad ul Amin, according to his fatwas, has now gone insane because of your denial of Allah and the Hereafter, by slandering this sure Prophet?
Allah (swt) supports His Prophet with His verse. (Nay, he has brought the truth, but most of them dislike the truth). Because these polytheists make a class distinction among themselves, the strong oppressing the weak and living in filth and inferiority in their own souls, they oppose Allah and His Prophets and do not want to believe because the Word of truth does not suit their interests.
Therefore, these polytheists, knowing that their Prophet was in the truth, opposed Allah's justice because they disliked it. Allah's justice is that all people are free and equal in the sight of Allah, with no class distinction between them. However, people will be held to account by Allah for their obedience or disobedience to Allah's command, and Allah will judge between people on that day, for the judgment is Allah's. The polytheists could not digest this when, with the light of Islam, the class difference between people was abolished and people became equal. They could not utilize people by making them serve as they should. They disbelieved in the Prophet because Allah's justice did not suit them, because they made their ego a god for their own self-interest.
What is said in the video
We have come to verse 70 of Surah Al-Mu'minun. Let us open this one too and close our lesson. Next week, if we are still alive,
we will start from verse 71 of Surah Al-Mu'minun, if Allah wills. Surah Al-Mu'minun, verse 70 Or do they say that there is madness in him? No. He has brought them the truth. But most of them dislike the truth. Yes. There are words here that would take long to explain. Did they not call the Prophet a madman? Did they not say, "Has he not been seized by some jinn?" Abu Sufyan, the Abu Lahabs, the Abu Jahls: "Let us give you ten wives, let us give you a hundred camels, let us give you the keys of Mecca, let us do for you whatever you want. Just return to our idols." When they said this, he says: "Even if you put the moon in one of my hands and the sun in the other, I would still not give up Allah." "I will not give up telling of Allah," he says.
Yes. Or is it madness in him, (?) — it says. Or do they say that their Prophet too has madness? By the rulings given by a living man whom they had followed for forty years — the Prophet you named Muhammad al-Amin — now, because of your denial of Allah and the Hereafter, are you slandering this trustworthy Prophet, claiming he has gone mad? Is that what you say? Allah Almighty supports His Prophet with His verse. No. He has brought the truth. Most of them dislike the truth, He says. Why do they dislike the truth? Because they commit every kind of filth. They satisfy the feelings of their nafs. Because they like the feelings of the nafs that Satan shows them, they chase after every kind of vice. Stark naked, men and women go around Mecca whistling and clapping their hands. They worship their idols.
That is, they do whatever comes to their minds. Well, in that case, would they want a yoke put on their necks? Would they want to see Allah's commands as a yoke on their own necks? In fact, if they put that yoke on their necks, they would gain their freedom, but that they cannot grasp. Yes.
Allah Almighty supports His Prophet with His verse. No, he has brought the truth. Most of them dislike the truth, He says. Because these polytheists made class distinctions among themselves, the strong crushing the weak, and had made a life in filth and baseness for the nafs their motto, and because the word of truth did not suit their interests, they oppose Allah and His Prophet and do not want to believe. Therefore these polytheists, who knew their Prophet was upon the truth, because Allah's justice displeased them, opposed him. Allah's justice: among people, without class distinction, all people are free and equal in Allah's sight.
But as to whether people listened to Allah's command or not, they will by Allah be called to account, and that on that day judgment is Allah's — Allah will among people give His judgment. "On that day, judgment belongs to Allah alone," it says. So, when with the light of Islam class distinctions among people were removed and people became equal, the polytheists could not stomach this. They could not use people, making them serve them as they needed. Because Allah's justice did not suit them, and because for the interests of their nafs they deified their nafs, they denied the Prophet. Because they deified their nafs, they denied the truth. "Have you not seen the one who deifies his nafs?" it says.
Yes.
