Translation

(Say, this Book has been sent down) so that you don’t worship anyone other than Allah. Verily, I am an admonisher and a giver of glad tidings (who has been sent) to you by Allah.

Tafsir

After Allah (swt) revealed His Word, the Holy Qur'an, to the people and proved that its verses are sound and perfect, He addressed the people, saying: "The revelation of the Qur'an to the people is from Allah, the author and owner of the Book. This Book has been revealed to mankind out of His mercy so that we should not worship anyone other than Allah. The Prophet (PBUH) is both a warner and a bringer of glad tidings to mankind through the Book that came to him by revelation from Allah. Since people are in an unseen realm, the Prophets are inviting people to Allah and warning them that those who follow the Prophets will go to Paradise and those who turn their backs on Allah will go to Hell.

What is said in the video

It was sent down so that you worship none but Allah. Surah Hud, verse 2. Say: this Book was sent down so that apart from Allah you worship no one. Surely I am a warner sent to you from Him and a bearer of good news. So, the Holy Quran — why does Allah Almighty send it down? So that none but Allah is worshipped. What does this mean? We know too that there is one Allah. We know it, but because our reason is deficient, deficient. According to the verse Aduvvallâhi ve aduvveküm — your enemies and Allah's enemies, as He calls them — the two-legged taghut and the devils who trouble us, with the temptations they give us, distancing us from Allah, with the nafs, with carnal feelings, to bind us to the world and to deify our nafs make moves, and pull us that way.

So Allah Almighty does not leave the servants He created unattended — so that we don't say: if You had shown us the truth, You who created us, if You had shown us the way, we would have worshipped You — Allah Almighty, with prophets, sends books, and with their heirs, scholars. By having people warned through scholars that apart from Allah there is no god, that He is the owner of all this existence, that every soul will one day taste death and finally our return will be to our Lord, and that in the end the Hour will come and in the hereafter, at the Supreme Court, Eleysallâhu bi ahkemi'l-hâkimîn, before the Judge of judges, we will give account, that no person is unattended in the world, and that He has left him in the world with his free will, in proportion to his own will, free — emphasizing this, He now says: so that in the world you prove what kind of people you are, We sent you here.

O man, are you without an owner? Are you left unattended? Each of us came from a home. We have a home. Each of us has a father, a mother, or a wife, children. Each has a responsibility. His wife waits at home. His children wait for their father. The father waits for his son. Well, people wait for each other — and our Lord, who created people and these worlds, did He leave us unattended, leave us to ourselves? Does He expect nothing from us?

In this case, man — for what he was created, the purpose of creation he will know, and, considering that in the end he will give account before his Lord, accordingly in this world (?). Yes. Say: this Book was sent down so that you worship none but Allah. What does Allah Almighty emphasize with this? O people, as your owner I am making My Being known to you in this unseen realm. I make it known. Do not ever come before Me tomorrow at the Supreme Court and say: why did You not address me, why did You not speak words to turn me to Your Being — don't say that, He says. Is there a verse for what you say?

There is. I do not call to account anyone from a generation I did not inform, He says. Yes. I always tell the meanings of the verses anyway, with Allah's (?).

Allah Almighty, having displayed His word, the Holy Quran, to people, and from His verses proved that it is firm and muhkam, addressing people: the sending down of the Quran to people is from the author and owner of the Book, Allah. This Book, so that we worship none but Allah, was sent down to people out of His mercy. The Prophet (peace be upon him), with the Book that came to him from Allah by way of revelation, is to people both a warner and a bearer of good news. What He calls a warner: one who frightens with hell, frightens with punishment, gives good news of paradise, yes, frightens with punishment.

To people, to the idolaters of that time, to those in different ideologies who had strayed from Allah, he would call out just like this: O nas — O people, your god is one God. All this created existence was created by one God. The owner of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, to whose Being its ownership belongs, is Allah. He was addressing people. Yes.

In this case, to people: if you stray from Allah, if you (?) Allah's creations, Allah's creations, the place you will go is the fire of hell. The fire of hell. If you turn to the truth, if you know that there is not even one god other than Allah, if you surrender to Him in your hearts, Allah Almighty has created the lofty paradise, the abode of bliss, for you, they say. And this is the good news. If you're uncomfortable, you can sit inside like this. There's room.

Maybe your knees hurt. There's room inside. Come inside.

Yes. There's room here. Look, you'll listen better from here. Come. Sit there. Yes. Sit there.

So this Book, so that we worship none but Allah, was sent down to people out of His mercy. The Prophet (peace be upon him), with the Book that came to him from Allah by way of revelation, is to people both a warner and a bearer of good news. Since people are in an unseen world, the prophets, inviting people to Allah — that those who follow the prophets go to paradise, and those who turn their backs on Allah go to hell — are warners of this.
