Hud 3: And (it has been sent down) so that you ask for forgiveness and repent to Allah. (If you do these) Allah will let you live beautifully until a determined time. And for all those who do more, Allah gives the return for their good deeds. If you turn away, I fear the punishment of a great day which will come upon you.

And so that you seek forgiveness from your Lord and then repent to Him, was sent down the Quran. What does this mean? And that you seek forgiveness from your Lord. What does it mean? O man, although I hold you as one addressed by My Being, and even though I gave you (?) from My spirit, I created you deficient in reason. Deficient. In this case you are fallible. Why did I create you so? So that you know My Being, your owner, that by making mistakes you know your helplessness, and that you turn to Me and repent — for that I created you, He says. And that you seek forgiveness from your Lord, He says.

Then that you repent to Him — for this it was sent down. Know that I am abundant in pardon, possessor of mercy. Know too that I speak with you, holding you as addressed by My Being. Yes. If you do what is commanded, if you do these, Allah lets you live, until an appointed term, in a beautiful way. For an appointed term, in the life of this world, within our lifetime, you live a beautiful life, He says. Hodja, I know people who have both feet in one shoe, yet they never compromise on Allah.

Where is their beautiful life? Let me tell you what happened to me. I was young, I was growing up; while growing up I forgot laughing; I didn't know what laughter was. How do these people laugh, I would say.

Among those people, as if the world, within me, inside me, were a dot, the world under my feet the size of a marble, like this, at peace with my Lord I was living. Those who saw us thought we were being crushed behind two mills, inside two millwheels, while we, like Abraham when thrown into the fire, in a spiritual world of rose gardens were living. One who doesn't know these can't taste this, can't feel these verses. Can't feel the meaning of these verses. They (?) it according to their reason. Yes. Allah lets you live beautifully until an appointed term. And to everyone who does more, He gives the reward of their goodness.

That is, what does this mean? Those ruled by My sharia rulings, I let them live in the most beautiful way. Who is the one who does more? One who keeps voluntary fasts, prays further night prayers, gives further charity, does good, to the stranded, to the orphan, (?), to (?) gives help, who takes the hand of the destitute, who shares his morsel with another — to the one who does more, Allah gives his reward and (?), even more.

If you turn away, the punishment of a great day that will come upon you — I fear it, he says.

Just as He gives non-Muslims calamities three, four, two times a year.

Yes. Doesn't He give them to us? Allah Almighty is just. If you live like him, if you live like them, then surely, since Allah does not discriminate among His servants, in the finest way, you too He will punish.

Gülay says: may Allah be pleased with you, Hodja, she says. I know they have no importance. I asked you so that the brothers and sisters understand better, Hodja, she says. You did well, may Allah be pleased with you.

The Holy Quran was sent to people as guidance.

Whatever wet and dry there is, is in the Holy Quran. For this reason, since people were created deficient and fallible, Allah Almighty, through His verses, that people, for the mistakes they make, should ask Allah for pardon and forgiveness and then repent never to make the same mistakes again, and that, saved from their sins, they will attain Allah's pardon — He declares. These people are in a great (?). Allah, rescuing people from crises, the ways to attain guidance He shows. If one behaves like this, returns to Allah, asks for pardon and forgiveness, then until an appointed term, that is, until the end of our lives, one will live beautifully in peace — this He declares.

For this reason, peace is in Islam.

Those who do more than Allah's command in the world, those who in the world do more than Allah's command, who hasten to good deeds, who pray the tahajjud prayers at night and remember Allah — Allah, in return for what they did, to them will give extra rewards besides. If you turn away from Allah, then in the hereafter, on what He calls that great day, when the Supreme Court is set up and on that day of reckoning people have neither a friend nor an intercessor, on the day when Allah's mercy is lifted from the sinners, its terror drives people mad. Eyes become as if they would leap from their sockets.

A fire falls into the hearts. Their eyes, He says, bulge out like sky blue. Yes, so fear the punishment of that day. With obedience to Allah and His Messenger, believe that the hereafter is true. Know the life of this world as a precious opportunity. Send your provisions ahead to the hereafter so that you may be among the saved. Yes.
