They could never on earth (or else) incapacitate (Allah) and yet, they have no friends (to ask for help), but Allah. They will increase their suffering (in the Hereafter) by committing more (bad) deeds in this world. Because they did not desire to see or to listen to (the Truth).
Tafsir
Those who do not believe in Allah and the Last Day, and who strive to turn people away from the path of Allah, will not make Allah helpless. With every action they take against Allah, they will increase their disbelief, and in the Hereafter they will build their place in the Fire. Allah (swt) is not incapacitated: He is the Creator and Programmer of all the worlds. Allah will continue His light until the Day of Resurrection.
People have no friend except Allah. Let us seek Allah's mercy while we are in this world. When Allah removes His mercy from those who strive to turn people away from the path of Allah and who pass into the Hereafter as rebels, there will be no one to help them. And their torment will be increased many times over. They will be tormented not only because they themselves disobeyed Allah, but also because they turned people away from the way of Allah.
The rebellious, however, are those who, out of pride and arrogance and selfish ambition, make a class distinction between people, and consider themselves superior to the servants of Allah, and strive to turn people away from the path of Allah. These are the blind and the deaf. Their sins will be added together and their torment will increase by the sum of their sins.
What is said in the video
Of Surah Hud, we have come to verse 20. Surah Hud, verse 20, is apparently a wrongly rendered verse. yes, let's see what was rendered wrongly, what was written wrongly, let's see. 'They will not be able to render Allah helpless on earth' — correct. 'Besides Allah, friends from whom they could seek help, they do not have' — correct, correct. 'Their punishment will be multiplied many times over.' That's not it. That's not it. Their punishment will supposedly be multiplied many times over. Many times over. Fe men ya'mel miskâle zerratin hayran yerah. An atom's weight of evil I will record. Ve men ya'mel miskâle zerratin şerran yerah.
According to the verse where He says 'I will record an atom's weight of evil too', today no one is wronged; what you have earned, in full, is the recompense of your two hands — according to the verse where He says so. Where does 'many times over' come from here?
Did Allah Almighty, like a being with a nafs, out of nafs-driven anger at people, multiply their punishment many times over? Even in retaliation, even in retaliation, it says only: a tooth for a tooth, an eye for an eye, a nose for a nose, an ear for an ear. That is, wounds too in equal measure, it says. In equal measure. In that case, would Allah Almighty, who commands right and justice to people, commit injustice and multiply people's punishment many times over? Yes.
'For they truly could neither see nor did they listen,' it says in the verse. Let's open up the correct one. The correct one: 'They will not be able to render Allah helpless on earth.' Correct. Same as there. 'Nor do they have friends besides Allah to ask for help.' This is correct too. 'In return for the rebellions they commit, by increasing their sins, in the hereafter they will increase their punishment.' What is it? Let's read it once more. 'In return for the rebellions they commit, by increasing their sins.' Say I slapped someone. Didn't I commit a sin? I hit him unjustly. I earned a sin. I hit someone once more.
Another sin (?), of course. They will be added up. But not multiplied many times over. The sins will be added up. Yes. Good deeds are like that too, aren't they? They add up. (?) Allah Almighty, on top of the reward, because I did a good deed, from Himself too gives extra, out of His grace. Now here too: 'in return for the rebellions they commit, by increasing their sins, in the hereafter, in the hereafter their punishment they will increase.' Their punishment, their own punishment. Because according to the state of the seven nafs, there are also seven layers of Hell. And in the lowest layer the hypocrites will burn.
So they will increase theirs. But it will not be multiplied many times over. The sins will be added up. This does not mean an increase. Increasing many times over means doubling one sin again and again. It means His giving from Himself. But adding up the sins a person himself committed is one thing. Multiplying many times over in return for the sins the other person committed is another. So there are meanings inside here. 'Because (?) they want to see their truths, nor did they listen,' says Allah Almighty.
Non-Muslims, idolaters, when they began to talk recklessly about the religion of Islam — to sow fitna in Islam, as we said in the verse above, twisting their mouths: 'Are these the people who will enter Paradise?'
People, looking down on the Muslims, with their worldly goods, their riches, children (?). If there is a Paradise, they say, it is our right. If there is. Yes. Moreover, to abolish Islam, they would hold secret meetings, and in those meetings they would sow fitna among people. (?) that Allah will complete His light until the Day of Judgment. The leading ones among them would give them this advice: 'In the morning, appear to believe them; in the evening, deny. This way you can drive them away from their religion.' Carried away by the fantasy, they thought they would render Allah's command on earth helpless, with their limited minds.
if these are looking for a friend, the friend is not in idols; besides Allah, no one has a friend; the greatest friend is Allah. What does it say? 'hasbünallâhu ve ni'me'l-vekîl ni'me'l-mevlâ ve ni'me'n-nasîr' — what an excellent master, what an excellent companion, what an excellent support.
So if a person seeks a friend, he should strive to be a servant to Allah. If a person seeks might and honor, he should abide by Allah's verses. Might and honor are with Allah.
'In return for the rebellions they commit, by increasing their sins, they will increase their punishment in the hereafter.' The more hostile to Islam a person becomes, the more he turns to rebellion, the more he opposes Allah and His Messenger, the more he tries to abolish the verses — which he has no power to do —
in that proportion he earns sin. These, too, are added up and confront him in the hereafter.
Because they neither want to see the truths nor do they listen. Because at the address 'Elestü bi-Rabbiküm', in the covenant (?) with Allah Almighty, out of their pride and arrogance they did not recognize Allah Almighty as Lord, and since they awaited the Lord of their own imagination, according to the verse 'Hatemallâhu alâ kulûbihim ve alâ sem'ihim ve alâ ebsârihim gışâvetün ve lehüm azâbün azîm', they there had veils drawn over their eyes and weights over their ears, and had their hearts sealed. Yes. That is why: 'for they neither wanted to see the truths nor did they listen.' Where they hear the word of truth, they go into distress.
Just as it says, they reach a state where the clouds would burst. They leave the place.
Those who do not believe in Allah and the Last Day, and who moreover strive to turn people from Allah's path, are not going to render Allah helpless. With every move they make against Allah, increasing their own kufr, in the hereafter they will build up their places in the fire. Just as a person, in the abode of bliss, builds mansions with acts of worship, builds mansions and palaces — these too, by denying Allah and His Messenger, in the hereafter — in what He calls 'what an evil place of return', the punishment of Hell, there, where He says 'for the disbelievers prepared — do not go toward that fire'; outside Islam, where the fire is for the disbelievers prepared, a Hell, in that place of punishment — these build buildings of fire for themselves.
Yes.
They build up the places of the fire.
(?) will not be rendered helpless.
In the verse to the Prophet (peace be upon him): Bismillâhirrahmânirrahîm. Fe in tevellev fe kul hasbiyallâhu lâ ilâhe illâ hu, aleyhi tevekkeltü ve hüve rabbü'l-arşi'l-azîm. Even if all people, it says, abandon you, even if the whole universe turns its back on you, say: Allah, Lord of the heavens and the earth and the great Throne, is enough for me, it says. So if, even when the whole universe turns its back on a prophet He created, Allah suffices for him — that the created have power over nothing, that Allah who created the worlds is the absolute owner of these worlds, and that no being can render Him helpless — it expresses this very beautifully here.
Because He is the one who created and programmed all the worlds. Allah will continue His light until the Day of Judgment. No created being can render Allah helpless.
People have no friend besides Allah. Let us seek Allah's mercy while we are in this world. Those who strive to turn people from Allah's path and who pass on to the next world as rebels — when Allah lifts His mercy from them, for them there will be no one left to help.
Now, besides Allah, people have no friend at all.
A proverb comes to my mind here. (?) Don't tell your secret to your friend; your friend tells it to his friend's friend. So if you seek a true friend, the true friend is Allah. If I tell my secret to my friend, my friend tells his friend as well. They reveal my fault from one to another. But if my Lord knows my secret — if I take Him as friend, rely on Him, turn to Him — 'do not disclose your sins,' He says. With His attribute Ghaffar, Allah Almighty forgives sins, and with His attribute Sattar He covers them, and without exposing people to anyone, within Himself, His servant in His heart — Allah covers his faults and forgives.
Could there be a better friend than this?
Besides Allah, people have no friend. Let us seek Allah's mercy while we are in this world. Those who strive to turn people from Allah's path and who pass on to the next world as rebels — when Allah lifts His mercy from them, for them there will be no one left to help, no one left to help them. Because Allah Almighty, in His verse: all the good work they did has gone to waste. Yes.
Also, when it says their punishment will be multiplied many times over — this 'many times over' is wrongly rendered here; all their sins being added up, they will increase their burden of sin in the hereafter. The burden of sin. Not only opposing Allah, but because they also turn people from Allah's path, they will suffer additional punishment. As we said, because they turn people from their path too, them too into punishment — having, you see, traits that drag them — because from Allah's path they hold them back, their sins will also be increased. That is, along with the sins he himself committed, sins will be added. This is not multiplying.
It will be the recompense of the actual deeds he himself committed.
Moreover, those who are rebellious, ruled by the whims of the nafs, the whims of the nafs, and since they are in pride and arrogance, make class distinctions among people, with the blessings Allah gave, see themselves above Allah's servants, and also who strive to turn people from Allah's path — these are blind and deaf. Their sins being added up, their punishment will increase by the total of their sins. Yes.
The sins will be added up. Here just one word has been expressed. 'Their sins being added up, their punishment will meet the recompense equal to the total of their sins' — that's how we will put it here. We won't say 'will increase', but 'will meet its recompense'. Yes. That's how we will sift this part.
Yes.
Yes.
