They are the ones who made themselves suffer losses. And the things they were fabricating have vanished from them.
Tafsir
Those who do not believe in Allah and the Hereafter, those who associate partners with Allah by worshipping idols they have invented, those who work with all their might to turn people away from the path of Allah, those who oppress Allah and those who seek to worship Allah, these are the people who have wasted themselves. The life of this world is a transitory abode. Did they not see that those who came before them rebelled against Allah? When they were rebelling against Allah and trying to turn people away from the path of Allah by committing the same deeds against those who wanted to worship Allah out of their own selfish desires, pride and arrogance, they suddenly passed away from this world with the grip of death on them. What did these people gain by their oppression of people? What have they taken to the Hereafter and what have they prepared for themselves? Their good deeds in the life of this world have been wasted. They will not be able to save themselves from Hellfire by rebelling against Allah. So, O man! Take lessons from the past, listen to the Book of Allah and His Messenger, and reform your soul. Get rid of associating shirk with Allah. Put pride and arrogance aside and make good use of the blessings Allah has created in this temporary worldly life. Do not be with the blessings of this world, but with your Lord who has bestowed them on you, and you will find salvation. Tomorrow, in the Hereafter, your arrogance and pride, your pride and arrogance will not benefit you from the false gods you follow.

Yes.
Surah Hud, verse 21.
So they have brought loss upon themselves. They have brought loss upon themselves. Why? In opposing the Owner of the worlds. According to the verse saying that even if humans and jinn gathered, they could not harm Allah at all —
the glory, fame, pride, arrogance, ego, (?) in people, their desire for the material things of the world Allah created — in return for that, people who cannot reform their nafs, with pride and arrogance, in self-importance, because against Allah Almighty they rebel, and also because they ascribe partners to Allah, worship idols and deify their nafs, these have wronged their own selves. will have wronged. In addition, the idols they worshipped will also, from them, move away and be gone. They will move away and be gone. What does the verse say? So they have brought loss upon themselves. And the things they used to invent have vanished from them.
That is, with their associating partners with Allah, their worshipping idols made by their own hands, on the Day of Judgment, in the hereafter, the idols will come.
Allah Almighty will make them bear witness. Did you tell them, 'I am a god'? And the idols will say exactly this. (?) We didn't even know that they worshipped us, they will say. You know it too, they will say. Our Lord is witness, they will say. There these will vanish. Yes. In this case, just as all the good works they did have gone to waste, with the actual deeds they committed, increasing their sins, the sins of these actual deeds being added up, as we said in the verse above, they will have built up their place in the fire.
People who do not believe in Allah and the hereafter, worshipping the idols they invented, who associate partners with Allah, who, to lead people away from Allah's path, work with all their effort, who, toward Allah and toward those who want to worship Allah, through oppression lord it over others — these people are the ones who bring loss upon themselves. The life of this world is a passing place of stay. Did they not see that those who came before them also rebelled against Allah? (?), out of the whims of their own nafs, pride and arrogance, committing the same deeds, rebelling against Allah, and in the midst of their efforts to lead people from Allah's path, suddenly, into death's claws — death's claws gripping their collars — they departed from the world.
Yes. These people — what did they gain with the wrongs they did to people? Yes.
A person wrongs another person. What did they gain? Say that with this wrong he usurped Ahmet's right. He took his worldly goods. He took his worldly goods. He usurped his right. Or he struck the person. Hurt him a bit, beat him. What did he gain? What he gained — ve men ya'mel miskâle zerratin şerran yerah. He gained sin.
By usurping that person's right or striking him, the person who thinks he secured his worldly gain in the world, without realizing he wronged his own self, in fact only thought he had secured worldly gain. In this case, with life ending suddenly and the decree of the Truth coming to pass, these people, if in that state they went — that is, if they went as a rebellious spirit — from the fire of Hell that Allah has prepared for them, they will not be able to save themselves. Now, is this the gain this man made? Or is it that, by wronging his own self, he prepares his place in the fire in the hereafter?
What this man gained is not worldly goods.
Worldly things — for a benefit of perhaps an hour or two, or three to five minutes, the eternal abode of bliss into an eternal abode of torment turning — apart from wronging his own self, he gained nothing at all. Yes. So what did these people take to the hereafter, and what did they prepare for themselves? Those before him — people, those who wronged people, who turned others from Allah's path, and who overstepped the bounds, pushed Allah's limits and were destroyed. What did they take?
All the good work they had done, they took in vain.
Competing with one another to take on Allah's punishment, as seekers of Allah's punishment, they passed on to the hereafter. Yes. So these people's good works, which (?) the life of this world, have also gone to waste. By rebelling against Allah they cannot save themselves from the fire of Hell either. So, O human, take a lesson from the past. From whom? From the people of Ad, the people of Thamud, the people of Lot, Noah's flood, Pharaoh.
Your lifeless body today, it says, I will leave as a lesson for the worlds, it says. And it is on display in England, in a museum. So we say this: O human, take a lesson from the past; listen to Allah's book and His Prophet; reform your nafs; free yourself from associating partners with Allah; setting pride and arrogance aside, the blessings Allah has created use well in the passing life of this world. Not with the world's blessings; your Lord, who granted you those blessings — please, so that you may find salvation. Tomorrow, in the hereafter, the invented gods you followed, the whims of your nafs, your arrogance and pride and self-importance will be of no use to you.
