Tafsir
Allah (swt) shows His existence to mankind through all kinds of examples and parables. In this verse, He again brings an example between believers and non-believers. With these examples, he invites people to use their reason and see the truth.
He compares those who do not have faith to the blind and the deaf. People learn by seeing and hearing. If one of these two organs is missing in a person, he can still learn with the other organ. But if these two organs, the eye and the ear, are canceled in a human being, that human being becomes like a living vegetable.
Here is a man who is deaf in his ears and hears nothing, and blind in his eyes, and he is human in appearance. Allah created human beings to worship Him. He gave them eyes and ears. With these, people realize the Essence of Allah and worship Him. What can Allah do with them if they willfully dull these organs to the point of not recognizing and seeing Allah, making them deaf and blind? In one of the verses of the Qur'ân al-kerîm, it says: "If you do not worship, what shall We do with you?
Are those who do not comprehend the Essence of Allah, who run away from Him and are His enemies, and those who know Allah and worship Him and gain the pleasure of their Lord, equal in the sight of Allah?
Allah is addressing people by bringing such examples, saying, "Do you not take heed? It is not possible for every hearing and seeing person not to know their Lord in the face of these events. Therefore, man is obliged to listen to the word of truth by contemplating, using his mind, and opening his eyes. Otherwise, he will be cruel to his own soul through death.

Yes.
Surah Hud, verse 24 is where we have come. Now here, in this verse there is a comparison.
A comparison between faith and the people of disbelief. These two groups, the people of faith and the disbelievers — their state is like the blind and deaf and those who see and hear. If you allow — what comparison is Allah Almighty making? These two groups, the people of faith and the disbelievers — their state is like the blind and deaf and those who see and hear. Can their state ever be equal?
The blind and deaf neither sees nor hears. What does this man do? What can this man do?
He is dependent on people.
As for the one who sees and hears, he both sees and hears; he believes, with every part of him. That is, one is the people of faith; He gives the one who sees and hears as an example of the people of faith. And with the blind and deaf, that — Hatemallahu alâ kulûbihim ve alâ sem'ihim ve alâ ebsârihim gışâvetün ve lehüm azâbün azîm — He compares the person meant in that verse.
Can their state ever be equal? In the sight of Allah. Will you still not take heed? He says. Still. After so many examples, after so many events, even if Allah Almighty, His Essence, openly, outwardly, in manifestations, to the eye that does not see, (?), that His existence, to people openly, does not show with these eyes, there is the blowing of the wind. Even if you do not see the wind, you feel that it blows. Because it strikes you in the face. It shakes the trees and plants. Here you say: there is wind. So Allah Almighty too, with signs, thus outwardly in manifestations, His Essence, through His events throughout nature, right into those people's eyes He puts it.
But eyes that do not see are like the blind and deaf. Those who see, the existence of Allah Almighty openly, outwardly in manifestations — that is, even if they do not see with these eyes — in the heart, in the realm of the heart, they see His existence openly. Openly.
Yes.
Allah Almighty, bringing all kinds of examples and similes of His existence to people, is showing it.
In this verse, too, between those who believe and those who do not, an example He again brings. With these examples He brings, people, to use their reason and to see the truth, He invites. People. Allah Almighty has the attribute of Godhood. What did we say? No one will be able to question Allah Almighty. Whatever reason he would ask about, Allah Almighty will have made it manifest to that person, for this belongs only to Allah, and since that person sees the recompense of his actions, he will be cut off from questioning. In that case, what each person earned, as the recompense of his own two hands, will be given to them in full.
So Allah Almighty too, bringing similes in a way each person will understand, and before our eyes, in a way every person will understand, the events He narrates. Namely, the one without faith, to the blind and deaf, is likened.
People learn by seeing and hearing. If one of these two organs were missing in a person, a person could still learn something with the other organ. But if these two organs, eye and ear, were disabled in a person, this person would become like someone living in a vegetative state.
Were you able to understand the meaning here? What is it?
Only, Hodja, he lives but cannot perceive anything. He only lives but cannot perceive anything. Yes. Look, we read it once more. It likens the one without faith to the blind and deaf. People learn by seeing and hearing, we say. Here, aren't there those who learn without seeing and hearing? With letters, there are. Compared to that, look what we are saying now. If one of these two organs were missing in a person, a person could still with the other organ learn something. That is, let's say his eye did not see, but his ear hears, he hears, he learns. Or his ear does not hear, but he learns with his eye.
Or even if neither hears, he still sees things with his hands and learns. That is, these bodily ailments, as blind and deaf, are not what is meant. Bodily ailments, for the people of faith, as blind and deaf are not meant. For those outside the people of faith, when He says eyes and ears are deaf, then these organs are disabled. Disabled. When they are disabled, (?) nor does he see; when these organs are disabled, they cannot learn, cannot know; so the idolaters, and among non-Muslims too, in proportion to the covenants they gave to Allah Almighty, if it is in their destiny to go to the Hereafter as disbelievers, if these organs are disabled in them, if they have been disabled, they come thus blind and deaf, and leave blind and deaf.
When they say, ‘O Allah, in the world we (?), here we (?)’ — that is the figurative meaning. Do you see this?
In the world you (?), but in the world too you were blind, you were not aware. Here too you are blind; you see, but you are blind. ‘I still could not recognize my Lord.’ ‘If only they had known here,’ He says. This verse has also been interpreted wrongly. ‘If only they had known Me.’ Before the verse (?), which is not there before. That is, they (?) it with their own minds. ‘If only they had known in the world’ — that is the meaning they bring. Yet look at Allah's mercy. ‘If only they had known.’ That is, if only they had known Me here. Allah would have removed Hell too. But they will not know. Because in them blind and deaf — these organs are disabled.
That is, their hearts are sealed. Sealed. They will not return to Allah. In this respect they are both blind and deaf. Even though they see in the Hereafter.
The verses are understood now, aren't they? Better.
But we said: if these two organs, eye and ear, were disabled in a person — if disabled — (?) this person would become like someone living in a vegetative state.
So his ear is deaf. He hears nothing. On top of that, his eye is blind too. This person is human in appearance. Allah created people to worship Him. He gave them eyes and ears. With these, people perceive Allah's Essence and obey and worship Allah. If people, of their own will, by not knowing Allah and not learning, blind these organs and make them unable to hear and see, what is Allah to do with them? A verse says: if you had no worship, what would We do with you?
So those who do not perceive Allah's Essence, who flee from Him and are hostile to Him, and those who know Allah and, by worshipping Allah, win their Lord's good pleasure — these two groups of people, in Allah's sight, can they ever be equal? Is that possible?
So Allah, bringing such examples: ‘Will you still not take heed?’ — this is how He addresses people.
It is impossible for all people who hear and see not to know their Lord in the face of these events. So a person, reflecting, using his reason, opening his eyes, must listen to the word of truth. Otherwise, in the end, with death he will have been unjust to his own nafs. Yes.
