“If I want to give advice to you but you desire to transgress, my advice will not benefit you. Allah is your Lord and you will be returned to Allah.”
Tafsir
Hadrat Noah addressed his people: If you want to turn away from Allah, that is, if you want to disbelieve in Allah and disbelieve in Him, then my advice to you will not benefit you.
Because when the covenant was made with Allah in the first (Kalubala), people had written their own desires and wishes as their destiny. When you have written down your covenant with Allah as your destiny, I have no power to change these destinies of yours. In this respect, Allah, the Owner of all, has sent people to this world as a test. Everyone will be brought back to Allah with their deeds, rewards and sins. On the Day of Reckoning, Allah will judge between them. Because Allah is the sovereign.

Where, when, what will happen? That is within Allah's knowledge. Verse 34 of Surah Hud is a verse that has been interpreted wrongly. We have written the correct version. Let's see. What did we write as the correct version?
Yes.
Verse 34 of Surah Hud: If Allah wants to make you go astray This Creator, that kind Allah who makes no distinction between His servants: how do they describe Him? Look. What is it? Let's say this is how the Arabic grammar runs, and both according to how the Arabic grammar runs, he says, and according to the spirit and essence of the Quran, he says, it must be given a meaning, he says. And also any person of sound taste puts one of the meanings, he says; because they do not know the spirit of the Quran. Because they do not know the spirit of the Quran. If Allah wants to make you go astray; God forbid.
There is no such Allah. Allah does not want to make people go astray. Even (?) went astray by himself. He betrayed Allah. He did not carry out His command. And they render it like this for him too. They make Satan out to be right. What do they say? 'In return for Your making me go astray.' Yet, God forbid, did Allah make him go astray? We correct that too: 'In return for my going astray.' That is, its meaning is: in return for (?) Your commands. Now, if you had this knowledge, would you write it like this? And when we conveyed this truth to you, when we came to convey it, your talking like a broken record and not listening to us: does this fit with Islamic brotherhood, or with learning the religion of Islam?
It does not. Yes. What does it say now? Man, what are you going to say now? 'Oh, that's how the Arabic goes,' you'll say. They have no (?) from Arabic anyway. If Allah wants to make you go astray, even if I want to advise you, my advice will not benefit you. Why not? Because Allah wanted to make you go astray, that's why. No one can stand against Allah: that's how he thinks. Yes. For He is your Lord, and to Him you will finally be returned. If your Lord wants to make you go astray, to Him you will be returned. Yes. That is, as if it were some kind of mercy. And the correct one is: if you turn your back on Allah, that is, if you want to go astray; turning your back, (?) anyway; if you want to go astray, even if I want to advise you, my advice will not benefit you.
For your desires and wishes, your intentions have been written for you as destiny. We are not going to change your destinies, he says. For He is your Lord and to Him you will finally be returned, he says. Yes.
So if a person, a person knew the truth, if he knew the truth, in this way, well, he would not interpret the verses so as to ascribe such attributes to Allah. That the partial will is in man's hands, that Allah Almighty absolutely does not interfere with man's will, that even at the address 'Am I not your Lord?' Allah Almighty gave man his desires and wishes, his own intention, to him as destiny, that there too He put no pressure on people, exactly in this verse of His He reveals to us. Which verse is this? Had We willed, He says to you, We would have lowered an angel from the clouds and made you prostrate, He says. So He did not in any way force us against our own desire and wish.
He left us free in our own will. Why did He leave us free? Because He created it as a part of His Being. He willed that His Being know His Being. From this, His Being; that is, Allah Almighty willed that that part He created know Him. Just as a father's child knows that father and calls him father, so Allah Almighty too, this spirit He created, (?); Allah Almighty is not a father, it is a spirit He separated from His Being, a part of Him. And they are His servants. Since a father never discriminates among his children, the Prophet says this: One day a companion says: Who is called a wrongdoer, O Messenger of Allah?
Who is called a wrongdoer? A father who discriminates among his children is a wrongdoer too, he says. And if a person falls into such wrongdoing, I sent one percent of My mercy to the earth. Ninety-nine percent (?) I kept for Myself for when I judge My servants at the Resurrection, He said. Would our Lord then commit such mercilessness and injustice among His servants? There you are. (?) If they had known these verses like this, would they have said of these verses that Allah makes man go astray? Would they have said it? Would they have said Allah misguides man? Would they have said Allah increases man's disbelief?
Would they have taken spirits and put them into an animal, a dog, a cat? Would they have taken the spirit and patched it onto Gabriel?
So even if we really are people responsible for the Quran; I am calling out to that office, calling out to those in that office; even if we are responsible for the Quran, since its responsible ones are there, he holds that office saying 'I am responsible for this'.
He uses his reason and tries to find the truth. Tries to find what is right. What did we say just now? They do not know what the partial will is like. That is what we tried to explain. There is more, and it is not enough here, sir, to prove it.
They do not know the address 'Am I not your Lord?'. They do not know that Allah Almighty made a covenant with people. So the partial will: a covenant; 2, their portraying Allah Almighty as unaware of the future. For example, 'it is hoped that': any person of sound taste, for the meaning of the word la'alla, well, 'so that', 'such that', 'thus that', 'it is hoped that', 'until', puts whichever fits under the verses. Well, you, (?) which meaning this word of this verse of the Quran has, its spirit: can you use the words 'so that', 'such that', 'thus that', 'it is hoped that'? Can you ascribe it to Allah?
Yes.
If you turn your back on Allah; Noah is now addressing his people; if you want to go astray, that is, if you do not want to know Allah Almighty, even if I want to advise you, my advice will not benefit you. That is, whatever covenant you gave Allah Almighty, I am not going to turn you from it. Those are your intention, they have become your own destiny, and my advice will not benefit you. For He is your Lord and to Him you will finally be returned. Well, if it does not benefit, why are you talking? I am obliged to remind you, he says. For that Allah you turn your back on, that Lord, is your Lord. And to Him you will be returned after death.
As we always say, the spirit is nafs and (?). Bodies are separate. Bodies.
Noah (peace be upon him), addressing his people: if you want to go astray from Allah, that is, if you want to deny Allah and not believe in Him, the (?) I will give you will not benefit you. For in the eternal (?), at Qalu Bala, when made to covenant with Allah, when the covenant was made, people had their own desires and wishes written for them as destiny. When you had the covenant you gave Allah written as destiny, I do not have the power to change these destinies of yours. So Allah, the Owner of everyone, sent people into this world to be tested. Everyone, with the deeds they did, with the good deeds and sins they earned, will be returned to Allah.
On that Day of Reckoning, Allah will give judgement between them. For Allah is the Owner of judgement. Eleysallahu bi ahkemi'l-hâkimîn: He is the Judge of judges. Never is there injustice in His sight. For in the verse: today, with no one being wronged, everyone will be given in full what they earned, as the return of their own (?), it says.
