Tafsir
Answering the prayer of Hadrat Noah, Allah accepted his prayer. Then He said to Hadrat Noah, "O Noah! Get off the ship. By this time the ship was sitting on Mount Judi. Hadrat Noah 'alaihis-salâm' got down from the ship. The living creatures in his ship with him spread out on the earth. Hadrat Noah 'alaihis-salâm' was about to run out of provisions in his ship. They gathered some of the grains in his ship and ate them all together. This food he made is Ashura. It is the tenth day of the month of Muharram.
Allah said to Hazrat Noah (peace be upon him): O Noah! Allah's saying, "Get off the ship" with peace and blessings from us to you and the nations that are with you, is Allah's forgiveness to Hadrat Noah and those who were with him.
The fact that he said, "Peace be upon you and those who are with you," even though the earth was flooded and they had nothing to eat, has many meanings.
In the first sense, it declares that they are under the mercy of Allah and that they will be saved in this world and the next.
That they will be given sustenance as soon as they reach safety, until they are able to take care of themselves and cultivate the earth, and that they will be provided for by Allah.
And that those who follow Hadrat Noah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) will enjoy the mercy of Allaah in the Hereafter.
The generation that will come after them, those who are on the path of Hazrat Noah (peace be upon him), those who do not deviate from the path of the straight and narrow path, the people who believe in Allah and the Hereafter, are the good news that they will also receive the mercy of Allah until the time of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
After that, Allah (swt) sends greetings to those who embrace Islam and live as Muslims until the Day of Resurrection, greeting them for their obedience to Him and giving them the good news that such people will be saved.
Allah's greeting to people here means that people who live as servants of Allah and believe in Allah and the Hereafter are under Allah's mercy and under His salvation, and that after death they will be in Paradise, a place of peace.
In addition to this obedient generation, another generation will arise who will rebel against Allah and disbelieve in the Hereafter. They too will enjoy the blessings of this world. But because of their disbelief in Allah and the Hereafter, they will be deprived of Allah's Peace and will be subjected to His Wrath, and will be subjected to the torment and suffering of an eternal and everlasting life.
What is said in the video
Noah, peace be upon him. This surah's verse 48. In this verse Allah Almighty a beautiful gives glad tidings to people. To people His glad tidings, glad tidings, look how beautiful. It was said: O Noah, with peace from Us upon you and the nations with you, and with blessings, descend from the ship. And there will be nations whom We will let enjoy the world, and then a painful punishment from Us will touch them, it says. Now, where are the glad tidings here? Peace from Us upon you and the nations with you, it says. Yes. With you, upon you and the nations with you. Both upon you, Noah, and upon the nations with him.
That is, upon those who follow the prophets, who follow Allah and His Messenger, who carry out Allah's command, peace be upon them from Us, says Allah Almighty. What a beautiful glad tiding. Yes. Who? Who would not obey Allah and His Messenger in this case? Who would not want to receive Allah's greeting of peace? Why did we come to the world? Why do we worship? To earn our Lord's mercy. Of course, by Allah's grace and generosity, what will we do? So that we are granted this verse of our Lord, of course we will try to carry out His command. O Noah, upon you and the nations with you, the nations with you, that is, to those who confirm all the prophets, who believe in the prophets who are servants of Allah, and who believe in Allah as Lord, (?), in Us, in Our legal rulings, peace be upon them, it says.
Peace. Peace from Us, it says. Peace from Us. And they are brought down from the ship with blessings. With blessings. That is, (?). Yes. Whom We will let enjoy the world, that is, those people, those who follow him, who submit to Allah, who are governed by the legal rulings, who say the testimony of faith, I mean, that there is no god besides Allah, that all the prophets are Allah's servants and messengers, who believe in the hereafter, I mean, who believe in the books and the angels, who believe in good and evil, what does Allah Almighty say? Whom We will let enjoy the world, and then a painful punishment from Us will touch, there will also be such nations.
That is, although to the people who will come from your lineage, We will offer Our mercy, yet people who will turn their backs on Us and receive Our punishment will also come. Why? Because in the address Elestü bi Rabbiküm, when Allah Almighty created (?) in the realm of lahut, He addressed us, made a covenant with us, and wrote that covenant of ours as our destiny, and took us up to the barzakh. In this world, however, since those realms were closed off in the world realm, our own destiny, to live the covenant we gave, to prove what kind of person we are, we came to the world. Here there will be both the obedient and the rebellious.
That is, just as there will be people who persist in their love for Allah and declare that they are His servants, He states that there will also be people who oppose Allah Almighty. And to those who, obedient to our Lord, governed by Allah's legal rulings, take their place on Allah's side, Allah Almighty says with this verse: peace be upon you. He sends peace, peace. Yes. This is our Lord's greeting of peace. And upon you be peace. We are His servants. What does He say? O Noah, upon you and the nations with you. Peace from Us upon the nations. Yes. And upon you be peace. Our Lord's greeting of peace. He is speaking with people.
Yes. And descend from the ship with blessings. Whom We will let enjoy the world, and then a painful punishment from Us will touch, there will also be such nations.
Allah, who answered the prayer of Noah, peace be upon him, accepted his prayer. Then to Noah, peace be upon him: O Noah, descend from the ship. Meanwhile the ship had come to rest on Mount Judi. When Noah, peace be upon him, descended from the ship, the living beings with him on his ship also spread over the earth. On the ship of Noah, peace be upon him, the provisions were also about to run out. Gathering together all of some grains that were on his ship, cooking a meal, they ate. This meal he made is ashura. It is the 10th day of the month of Muharram. We too, the 10th day of the month of Muharram, by making ashura and distributing it to people, that day we commemorate, we remember, and with it we present a situation lived that day, and so we too are granted Allah Almighty's greeting of peace.
Allah Almighty saying to Noah, peace be upon him: O Noah, upon you and the nations with you, peace from Us, and His bringing them down from the ship with blessings, is Allah Almighty's forgiving Noah, peace be upon him, and those with him.
Although the earth was under water and they had nothing to say, His saying, peace be upon you and those with you, has many meanings. In the first meaning, it declares that they are under Allah's mercy and that they will reach worldly and otherworldly safety. Yes. Because Allah says to them, you are sound. Peace be upon you. Yes. I have forgiven you. In the sense of: I love you. Mountains of love.
In the first meaning, it declares that they are under Allah's mercy and that they will reach worldly and otherworldly safety. Along with their reaching safety, that they will be given sustenance, until they can look after themselves, until they can sow and reap the land, that they will be provided for by Allah. Yes. The world is under water. Their food has run out, last of all they made ashura. Sowing and reaping takes time. Until then they would go hungry. And what will He do? The people of the Children of Israel experienced an example of this in the Tih desert. Allah Almighty sent them quail meat and manna.
Yes.
Allah Almighty, with His power, feeds people and gives them drink.
Also, that those who follow Noah, peace be upon him, will attain Allah's mercy in the hereafter too, that the generation coming after them, those on the path of Noah, peace be upon him, those who do not leave the straight path, people who believe in Allah and the hereafter, yes, of people, up to the time of the Seal of the Prophets, Muhammad (peace be upon him), that these too will attain Allah's mercy, this is the glad tidings it gives. Of course, when they came to one place, the same path, the same straight path. And after that, those honoured with the religion of Islam, people living as Muslims until the Day of Judgement, Allah Almighty sending them peace, as I just explained, sending peace, greeting them because of their obedience to His Being, is the glad tidings that such people too will reach salvation.
Yes. Allah Almighty giving us glad tidings. Allah greeting people here declares that people who live as servants of Allah, who believe in Allah and the hereafter, are under Allah's mercy and under His protection, and that after death they will be in a land of safety, that is, in paradise. It declares that alongside this obedient generation, another generation, rebellious to Allah and not believing in the hereafter, will (?). These too will (?) the blessings of the world. They will (?) as well. But because they do not believe in Allah and the hereafter, deprived of Allah's peace, incurring His wrath, they will receive the eternal punishment and torment of an eternal and endless life, it declares.
Yes.
