Translation

And Allah is the One Who deals life and death. It is Allah’s (artistery) that the night and day change. Won’t you contemplate?

Tafsir

Allah (swt) informs people that there is no other God but Himself by giving various examples in His Verses. In this verse, Allah is the One who creates out of nothing, then He is the One who creates, then He is the One who gives life and then He is the One who kills. All souls are returned to His Essence. In this way he declares that there is no other God but Allah.

When Allah (swt) says that the succession of night and day is the work of Allah, He is explaining the existence of Allah through His creations in a way that every human being can understand, by showing people the events that no created being, including the human being, who is created at the same time, can do, that no power and might can do, but that there is a creator and that creator is Allah, and that no creature among the created beings can do.

Allah placed the earth, sun and moon system in the void in the heavens. By rotating the earth around its axis, He created night and day. We have explained this information in detail in the previous volumes and we will not go into detail here. In this respect, Allah (swt) explains His existence to people through knowledge.

Allah is showing these events to people so that they can use their intellect to see that Allah is great and almighty and that His power is omnipotent. It is an appeal to the human mind to believe in the existence and oneness of Allah and to have faith. Therefore, Allah says, "Do you still not use your reason?

What is said in the video

To verse 80 of Surah Al-Mu'min we have come.

And He is the One who gives life and causes death. That is, Allah Almighty: "and He". Yes. Ve hüvellezî yuhyî ve yümît. He is the One who gives life and causes death. The alternation of night and day is His work.

It is Allah's work. That is, at one thousand six hundred sixty-six and some per hour, around its own axis, the world He turns.

Besides this, around the sun's axis, the world completing the year in a cycle of three hundred sixty-five days and six hours, bringing about the seasons; by Allah's wisdom, suspended, this universe around its own axis with satellites, that is, on condition that they neither come closer to nor move away from each other. He has arranged it so well that for this, a human power, not one person, even if there were billions of people, even if there were trillions of people, their minds would not suffice. And they cannot create. Because creating belongs to Allah alone, for Him such worlds are not hard.

Yes. So, while in such a Creator, such a Lord of ours, in our Allah we should take pride, while we should be intimate with Him, should thank Him and not fall short in thanks, while we should take our Lord behind us and lean our backs on Him, although we know that we have no other door to go to besides Him, does one ever turn one's back on Allah? In His presence, does a person act proud against Allah? And who are you, that you will be proud against Allah? Who are you? You are a tiny being He created. Even if the jinn and mankind gathered, they could do Allah no harm, says Allah Almighty. If He wishes, He destroys this universe in an instant.

Although you have no power at all, with this pride and arrogance of yours what are you standing up against? Yes. And He is the One who gives life and causes death. The alternation of night and day is His work. Will you still not use your reason? That is, all the events He is trying to show you. These verses are all verses in which Allah Almighty, that there is no other god besides Himself, gives the proof. Allah Almighty makes known with His verse that there is no other god besides Himself, through various examples He gives to people. In this verse too, with His verse saying "He who gives life and causes death", Allah is both the One who brings into being from nothing, who creates, then gives life, then causes death.

All living things are returned to Him. In this way He makes known that there is no other god but Allah. We said this briefly, of course. When we say "who gives life and causes death", if we wrap it up in a few short sentences: He created the world, He also placed, well, His creatures to filter the world, and to all of them, their generations, however long a life there is, He has appointed lifespans; well, within these lifespans they will do their duties, reproduce, and those after them will do the same cleaning, the cleaning of the world. And we too, what kind of person we are, within a certain lifespan, after proving it, will pass on again to the hereafter.

Yes. When Allah Almighty says that bringing night and day one after the other is Allah's work, no created being, including man, created as the noblest of creatures, including him too, no power and might could do it; that there is only a Creator and that this Creator is Allah; by showing people events that no being among the created could do, He explains Allah's existence through His creations in a way every person can understand. Yes. Allah has placed the system of the world, sun and moon in the void in the heavens. And by turning the world around its own axis He has brought about night and day.

We explained this information in detail in the previous volumes. Here we won't go into details.

Allah, who shows people these events, does so that people, using their reason, may see Allah's exaltedness and greatness, and that His power is capable of everything. That people may believe in Allah's existence and oneness and have faith, it is an address to human reason. For this reason Allah Almighty: "Will you still not use your reason?" He says. Yes.
