Translation

Verily, this promise has been given to us and to our ancestors before, (but) these are nothing but tales of the ancients.”

Tafsir

The polytheists and the disbelievers said: "Such a promise was made to us and to our ancestors before us. That is, that you will be resurrected after death and will be held to account in the Hereafter. This promise has not been fulfilled. Neither our ancestors saw what was promised to our ancestors, nor will we see it. They said that these are fables invented by the ancients. People will be held to account for not using their intellect. Do not people who think like this and disbelieve in Allah ever think that they cannot finish the life they have been given in a single moment? They live years according to the day of the world. After living a certain lifespan, the souls taste death. In this case, the world has a lifespan, just as every creature has a lifespan. Every creature will have a specific mission and at the end of that mission they too will perish.

Allah's mention of the Day of Resurrection is the breaking of the order of this universe, and the end of the Day of Resurrection. Then Allah, the Creator of this universe, will resurrect human beings in the Hereafter in an orderly manner and will hold them to account. He will also resurrect the animals and destroy them after they have taken their rights from each other.

Allah, being the owner of justice, will not leave anyone's rights with anyone else, and man will take his turn in this world, and after he has made himself a witness to himself, his surroundings and Allah (swt), he will pass on his place to the people who will come after him. This will continue until there is no human being left to come into the world.

So, since you do not know when the Day of Judgment will break, you will see the truth that Allah (swt) has promised you at the moment of death, when you die, without waiting for the Day of Judgment to break. But the doors of repentance are closed and your repentance will not help you and you will not be able to go back to the world again.

What is said in the video

Surah Al-Mu'minun, verse 83. Truly, both to us and before that to our forefathers such a promise was made. But this is nothing but the tales of those of the past, it says. With their own mouths they prove that Allah Almighty sent a prophet to every people. How do we understand that? Truly, both to us a prophet gives news, and before that he made such a promise to our forefathers. What does this mean? Allah Almighty sent prophets to make known His essence. The polytheists and the disbelievers said this: Both to us and before that to our forefathers such a promise was made. That is, after death you will be raised and called to account in the realm of the hereafter. This promise has not been fulfilled. What was promised to our forefathers, neither did our forefathers see, nor will we see; these are tales made up by the ancients, they said.

Because people did not use their minds, they will be called to account. That is what Allah Almighty says in the verse. Do you never use your minds? Do you never reflect? Because you did not use your minds, I will call you to account, He says. So why did we not use our minds? Why? We joined in the worship our nafs showed us. Because if we use the mind, every mind knows that a Lord created me. There is one Lord, one Allah, one God. That is, the reason I use the word Lord here is that the word Lord is in the sense of creator. Everyone who has a mind knows that there is a creator. Through his coming into being. Suddenly, at the address Elestü bi-Rabbiküm, suddenly, through its coming into being, every mind knows that it has a Lord, that it was created by a Lord.

Despite this, he does not recognise his Lord before him. As God, as Allah, as creator, he waits for the Lord of his imagination.

In that case, when Allah Almighty says they will not be able to see their Lord, those who do not understand His verses say they will be gathered there blind and sightless. Whereas when He says they will not be able to see their Lord, Allah Almighty, tawhid (?) comes in. La ilahe illallah. There is no god but Allah, so that they could see someone other than Allah. Let them see the One who created them. So in that case these people did not use their minds and turned their backs on Allah. They took the side of the nafs.

If you ask me, as someone who saw that place, did you use your mind? If you say that: I used it. How did I use it? Let me tell that too. I see the people opposite, in three groups, three groups, groups, groups, in the evening's dim twilight. You see the one at the very front, and you see the one at the very back too. But you cannot recognise them.

Allah Almighty says: I created you. And the Prophet beside Him, confirming, says yes, this is our Lord. He goes at the people like this, saying this is our Lord.

And I am thinking. Suddenly I was created. I look at myself like this. I have no before. Suddenly I have a creation.

Am I not suspicious? I am suspicious. (?) am I suspicious? Did He create me, I wonder? Yes, I was created, but someone created me, but was it Him who created me, I wonder? Wait a little, I say. What is the reason? If someone else created us, he would not let Him introduce Himself to it. What would he do? He would say: no, it is not Him. He would destroy Him along with those who follow Him. He would bring out his own existence. No such one comes out. I wait, he does not come out. But there is also something strange. That is, being without an owner. You bring a person like this and leave him in a wild forest.

He doesn't know what to do, right. Or, let's say, they have left you in a city of a land you have never known. You have no money, nothing. What do you do? You are at a loss, I mean. There is that kind of situation too. At that moment the Prophet comes at me too. Saying this is our Lord. Come on, confirm it. And I hear the word of Allah Almighty. My beloved, he is one of us, don't touch him, He said. Then a love flowed from me to Allah Almighty. A (?) like this. I was claimed. There is an owner, I say now. So we used the mind. We did not follow the nafs. So He says: do you never use your minds? And here we are already saying that.

What do we say? The polytheists and the disbelievers said this: Both to us and before that to our forefathers such a promise was made. That is, after death you will be raised and called to account in the realm of the hereafter. This promise has not been fulfilled. What was promised to our forefathers, neither did our forefathers see, nor will we see. These are tales made up by the ancients, they said. Because people did not use their minds, they will be called to account. There, I explained it. How do you use it?

Do people who think like this and deny Allah never reflect? They cannot finish the life given to them by living it in a single moment. They live years according to the days of the world. After living a certain lifespan, souls taste death. In that case, just as every created thing has a lifespan, the world too has a lifespan. Every created thing has a certain duty, and at the end of these duties they too will cease to exist. Everything has an end. You plant a tree, and you see that after a certain time the tree rots away, it falls. A plant grows, grasses grow, after a certain time they rot away. And what happens? Even though others come in their place, on the world, as the world feeds them, just as all created things have an end, the world too will surely have an end.

Yes, so when Allah speaks of the Day of Judgement, it is the order of these created perfections being broken and the Day of Judgement breaking out. Then Allah, who created this universe, will, in order and regularity, again in the realm of the hereafter, raise people and call them to account. Besides that, animals too will be raised; animals too, after taking their rights from one another, will be done away with. So Allah, as the Owner of justice, will leave no one's right with anyone, and man, living in the world, will take his turn, and after making himself, those around him and Allah Almighty witnesses of himself, he will hand over his place to the people coming after him and go. Until there are no more people to come into the world, this state will go on like this. So since it is not known when the Day of Judgement will break out, we said you will see the truth Allah Almighty promised, without waiting for the world to break apart, at that moment of death, when the soul reaches the throat.

You will see it when the soul reaches the throat. Where is that written? Allah Almighty.

İzâ belegati'l-hulkûm. Surah Al-Waqi'ah. Come on, bring it back then, He says.

All the relatives have gathered around him too, waiting for his soul to depart, He says.

Verse 86. Since you will not be punished, He says, at that moment We are closer to him than you. This is verse 85, like this. At that moment We are closer to him than you. But you cannot see, He says.

(?)

80... 84. 84.

Probably verse 84.

Let's read it going downwards. At that moment We are closer to him than you, but you cannot see. Since you will supposedly not be punished, then bring back his soul, if you are truthful in your claim. But if the one who dies is among those brought near to Allah, for him there is ease, good provision and the gardens of bliss. If he is among those on the right, then: O you on the right, peace be upon you. But if he is of the lying, the astray, then for him there is a feast of boiling water, He says. Yes. Allah Almighty, at the moment of death for us, at the moment of death, in the realm of the hereafter, those realms in which we made the covenant with Allah Almighty will all be shown.

So when man then says: look, send me back once more, how I will worship You, We, not once, He says, even if We sent you back several more times, you would again do the same deeds. The reason? The character is like that. That place will close again. Whatever your characters are, it will again go on the same way. Well, before coming into the world, let's say I had not come into the world. In the realm of the hereafter Allah Almighty says this. If only they had known Me, He says. There is a verse. If only they had known Me. Where? There. There. If only they had known. Come on. At least know Him there.

With what does He relate that they do not know Him there either? In Hell they are still waiting for the Lord of their imagination to come. He will take them out of there. They will take revenge on the Lord who created them. They will take revenge on Allah. In that case, accepting that punishment, they say: O Malik, tell your Lord to lighten the punishment on us a little. He cannot say to our Lord. Tell your Lord to lighten the punishment on us a little. Yes.

So,

since it is not known when the Day of Judgement will break out, the truth Allah Almighty promised, without waiting for the world to break apart, at that moment of death, when the soul reaches the throat, you will see. But the doors of repentance have closed, and just as the repentance you make is of no use to you, you will not be able to go back to the world again. Hodja, weren't repentances accepted? Here you did not have repentance accepted. What do we say? Look, the truth Allah Almighty promised, without waiting for the world to break apart, you will see at that moment of death, when the soul reaches the throat.

But the doors of repentance have closed, and just as the repentance you make is of no use to you. When does the door of repentance close? Until the soul comes to this (?) of my neck. In one narration, until it comes to this "rooster bone". But most likely, when it comes up to this (?) bone, the door of repentance closes. What is the reason? The reason is, as He says in Surah Al-Waqi'ah: are you closer to him, or are We, with Our power, closer to him? So at that point the realms are shown to him. After the door of repentance closes, the realms open up. Look, here We told you, here, We created you, and you denied.

You denied. With this denial of yours, today in the world too you did the same deed. So when he says: send me back again, how I will worship You, We, not once, He says, even if We sent you several more times, you would again do the same deed. The reason: again, with the same characters, you will again do the same deed. There is nothing you can do.

Well then, before coming into that world, at least know Allah Almighty there; there you will not be able to know Him. Because the characters are like that, your destiny, let's not say that, but according to the (?) given to you, the characters have become a part of your life, in every one of the actions you do as you live, they have become your destiny.
