Al-Mu'minun 88: Ask, “If you know, (then say,) who is the One who holds the bounties of everything in Allah’s hand, who protects everything but who is not protected?”

Again He asks: if you know, say, who is it in whose hand is the dominion, ownership and rule of everything, who Himself protects and guards everything, but is not Himself protected, does not need it – ask that, He says. How beautifully He puts it. As the third proof, Allah Almighty says: go on, ask the people. This whole universe, the seven heavens and all that is between them – whose is the ownership and management? Because Allah creates from nothing. When the Creator created these perfections, He created them all in order and harmony, and this creation, beyond human power, proves that it was created by a single Creator.

If there had been a second god too, one would take what he created, the other would take what he created, and everything would have sunk into corruption. So then, O man in heedlessness, since your Lord stood before you, when He said, I am your Lord, and the Lord of your imagination did not appear, that there is not even any god other than Allah, even though your mind knows it, the pride and arrogance in that man, the temptation Satan gave him, the yoke he put around his neck – as Satan's plaything the poor man trails after him. Man who, out of pride and arrogance in the world, in exchange for a few hours of worldly life, buys the eternal life of Hell.

May Allah protect us. Man must use his reason. See, Allah Almighty constantly proves His existence to man so beautifully. What does He say? If you know, say: who is it in whose hand is the dominion, ownership and rule of everything, who Himself protects and guards everything, but is not Himself protected, does not need it – ask that, He says. These sentences need a lot of explaining. For example, this whole universe, the seven heavens and all that is between them – whose is their ownership and management? Ownership and management here means Allah Almighty creating these worlds and programming them with a program. That no power or force can break, I mean break, this program. Here. Allah watches over and protects all He has created; ask who it is who Himself has no need of protection. Allah is the One who creates, programs His creatures towards Himself and is not unaware of His creatures. He gives sustenance to all He has created, from atom to sphere, to every living being.

He is the One who, arranging the states and movements of the living and the non-living, in order and harmony makes the universe run its course. As the owner of His creatures He does not wrong them; free of all deficient attributes, complete and perfect – that is Allah.

Here too a sentence needs explaining. When we say, who arranges the states and movements of the living and the non-living, this part, this word here needs explaining. Then Allah Almighty is steering us – when we say living and non-living. Whereas here, people who act by partial will: what they do within their own will, their states and movements, lie within the person's own responsibility. When we say living and non-living, the other creatures – apart from man and jinn, the other creatures Allah Almighty has programmed. As a result of His program, this universe runs its course. No one has the power to break that program.

When mankind prepares a program outside this program, when the balance would be upset, Allah Almighty – they set a trap. I too set a trap, but My setting a trap is better, He says. That is, when they, with this trap, by their own reckoning, leap outside man's destiny and outside the program We have made, into another setting, then, since they could not unfold their states and movements and fully prove themselves, We stop them, He says. They are stopped and play their game within their own destiny. And that is how they prove themselves. It is not possible for them to step outside destiny. For example, let us say Allah Almighty has programmed that Turkey will remain until the Day of Judgment.

For example, today, on July 15, despite attacks with cannons, rifles, planes, tanks, helicopters, from land and air, an unarmed nation stopping the tanks and planes. How does this happen? It is that Allah Almighty programmed destiny. They prepared a game. Allah Almighty prepared a game too. By stopping them – the traitors inside Turkey, who exploit the homeland, smuggle money abroad, launder black money, and who got into the capillaries of the state and obstructed both the working of law and people's living within the framework of that law called democracy, and bound people as slaves to the outside, I mean, by force – in this situation Allah Almighty, so that Turkey, the leader of Islam, may run within the law it has framed, as a gift, turns their traps back on their own heads and, in a very short time, has (?) what could not be (?) in 15-20 years.

Why? He is protecting this state. Allah Almighty.

Did they think they would put out Allah's light with the blowing of their mouths? Allah, He says, will complete His light until the Day of Judgment. When we look at the world today, it is Turkey that lives Islam in the full sense. We are Ahl as-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah. Within Ahl as-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah, in the world, in the eyes of the world, there are very few people who live Islam. In this case, if Allah Almighty will protect His religion until the Day of Judgment, this state – just as He protected it in the time of the Prophet, as at the Battle of Badr, with three thousand angels, He protects this state.
