And I seek refuge in You, from them being near me.
Tafsir
The presence of people who have disbelieved in Allah and the Hereafter in the company of Muslims is one of the factors that prepare the way for a fitnah to arise at any time. So say, 'I seek refuge in You from the depression that they can cause people, and from the mischief that the devils can cause people by being with them.
Allah is omnipotent. All judgment is Allah's. No one's evil can affect anyone without Allah's permission.
Allah (swt) wants people to take refuge in Allah (swt) from these evils, and Allah (swt) protects those who take refuge in Him. The protection of these people from Satan's temptation is through the light that Allah (swt) has placed in the human heart to warn people against Satan's temptation. When a person recognizes the temptation of Shaytan and ignores it, Allah is helping people.
What is said in the video
One of the verses revealed to the Prophet is Surah Al-Mu'minun, verse 98. And I seek refuge in You, my Lord, from their being near me, it says. Whose? The hypocrites', the non-Muslims', those who slander the Prophet, those who (?) Allah; I seek refuge in You from their being near me too. That is, from the slanders of (?).
People who have denied Allah and the Hereafter being near Muslims is one of the things that at any moment prepares the ground for a fitna to be stirred up. Therefore, from the distress they will cause people and from their devils, from the whispering they will give people by being near them, I seek refuge in You, he said. Doesn't He say so? In one verse He says this:
When they see you, He says, they start, against Allah and His Messenger, that is, about the religion, to talk insolently, He says.
If in such a situation you are not in a position to answer them, leave their company, He says. Leave their company. If you have nowhere to go, stop up your ears, that is, act as if you don't hear.
If you are in a position to explain, warn them. That is, amr bil-ma'ruf. If they don't understand, leave their company. In the verse it is (?) anyway. The verses confirm each other. Allah has power over all things. All judgment belongs to Allah. His wanting them to seek refuge in Allah means that Allah Almighty protects those who take refuge in His Being and takes them under His care. The (?) the devil will give people: so that these people can be protected, Allah Almighty, with the light He puts in the human heart, warns the person against the whispering the devil will give. When a person understands the devil's temptation, by paying it no heed, Allah has helped people.
How does a person understand the devil's temptation? There is a verse. To My servant who knows Me, the devil's temptation is (?), He says. How beautifully He puts it. When a person holds the satanic temptation that comes to the heart up against the verses, when he holds it up against the verses, he understands that it is satanic. In this case,
to be saved from that temptation, we take refuge in the verses. That is, in the light of the verses our Lord has shown us, since our Lord's door is open, we have taken refuge in Him. Now, last night I had a dream. A dream. In the dream, instead of supposedly going home by a shortcut, I'm wandering around. The house is right across. But there are cliffs in between. There are rocks. There are streams. How am I going to cross, in that dream? Supposedly we are fasting too. (?), and I'll make it in time for the iftar. I also know that it's at the iftar. I'm fasting and I'll make it to the meal, that is, I'll make it to this evening's meal.
Meanwhile the call to prayer is being recited too, and I say, the other side is right by me anyway, I'll go, the place is visible too. A woman says, let me take you. How will you take me, I said. Look, now you sit here for a bit too, she said. Let me sit, I said, and I sat. A young girl comes up to her, takes her on her back, and as a cloud, as a black cloud, riddled with holes, goes off inside. Not a minute passes, she comes back to me. The girl comes after her too; hey, I left you there, she says, why didn't you come, why did you come, she says. And she says, there's nobody there, what business do I have there, none of us is there, she says.
Hey, I gave you the keys too, she says, here, take the keys, let them be yours, she says. I did you a favor, she says, I didn't leave you alone, she says, I gave you to my father, she says. She had given her to her father, (?). The girl insults her a bit too; come on now, let me take you, she says. And on my head there is a turban. You (?), I said; stay away from me, I told her. She stayed just as she was. Stay away, I said, stay there, I said. Someone with jinn. Someone with jinn. Now these things are understood, you see. The sciences are understood.
Here too, when a person takes refuge in the verses of Allah Almighty, from the temptation and whispering they would give a person, people are saved.
Yes.
