Tafsir
People whose hearts are far away from Allah, those who have given their hearts to Allah's creatures as we have described in the above verse, and those whom the Qur'an says, "Have you not seen the one who has made his nafs a god"; people who are caught up in the greatness of their nafs, who are preoccupied with the love of wealth, property, children and well-being, and who forget Allah. The way of these people is like the way of the house of Pharaoh and the people before them, who rebelled against Allah and did not recognize Him and disbelieved in Him. They denied the Signs of Allah and paid a heavy price for it. Pharaoh drowned with his army in the Red Sea. He set an example for mankind, leaving a bad memory for the worlds. Pharaoh is exhibited to people in the Psychic Museum in England. The people of Lot, the flood of Noah, the people of Ad, and many other tribes that we cannot count, perished because of their disbelief. They denied the Verses of Allah, they disbelieved in Allah, Allah (swt) destroyed some of them by changing their shape into monkeys, some of them with a sound, some of them with earth tremors. They were caught for their sins and sent to their rightful places.
(Allah's punishment is severe.) The meaning of this verse is: O people! Leave the path that your nafs and Satan show you. If you do not use your intellect, if you follow the evil way of Pharaoh and his dynasty and those before him, if you deny the Verses of Allah, then know that you will be like them, and you will be subjected to the fate that Allah says, "What an evil place of return! Your place of return will be Hell. What an evil place of return. What a place of severe torment.
What is said in the video
Yes, their way — whose way?
The way of the non-Muslims. It resembles the way taken by the house of Pharaoh and those before them.
They denied Our verses. And Allah seized them for their sins. Allah's punishment is very severe, He says. Yes, I always say: if the tip of a thorn pricks your hand, you can't bear the ache. If a thin hair gets into your eye, you can't bear the pain. How will you endure the punishment of hell?
With what reason do you deny Allah? Now what does He say? Their way, that of the house of Pharaoh. What happened? Pharaoh drowned in the Red Sea. Allah Almighty drowned him. And in Surah Yunus, verse 92, today, He says, I will leave your lifeless body as a lesson to the worlds, He says. Your lifeless body. If He had said your body, he would have remained alive; since He says lifeless body, he is displayed in a museum in England; they see him in prostration, but non-Muslims — well, even though they see these things, those who still, on the covenant given, turn their backs on their Lord's verses took him out of prostration, laid him on his side, like this, on his side.
I have pictures of it. Yes.
People who take no lesson from so many lessons, and those before them — it resembles the way they took. Who were they? The way taken by the people before the house of Pharaoh: the people of Lot, the people of Thamud, the people of Salih, the people of Ad. What did Allah Almighty do? He destroyed them. Because they transgressed Allah's limits.
They denied Our verses. And Allah seized them for their sins. The people of Salih see a cloud coming toward them in the drought. Summer month, hot, the drought has begun. We will shelter under this cloud, they say. That cloud was enough for their destruction. With one blast they all collapsed onto their knees.
Yes.
The people of Lot were destroyed with stones. The people of Lot. Allah Almighty, to many people, to the people who will come until the Day of Judgment, shows the miracles of His verses. To one who understands, a mosquito is music; to one who doesn't, drum and zurna are not enough. People whose hearts are far from Allah. As we explained in the verse above, to those who have given their hearts to what Allah created, in a verse:
Have you not seen? That one who makes his self a god, as He says, carried away by the grandeur of his self, by love of wealth, property, children and family — people who are distracted and forget Allah.
What do we say? People whose hearts are far from Allah. As we explained in the verse above, to those who have given their hearts to what Allah created. That is, not to Allah, but to the matter, money, wealth Allah created, property, children — to the people who have given their hearts to these. Have you not seen (?) him who makes his self a god, as He says, carried away by the grandeur of his self, by love of wealth, property, children and family, the people who are distracted and forget Allah. They are all around. Even within Islam.
No prayer, no supplication. No fasting. Head uncovered. They walk about everywhere in the open. We don't count them the same as non-Muslims. What protects them? Their faith is tiny. What is that faith? La ilahe illallah Muhammeden Resulullah. And that too is in doubt. It is written like that on their ID card, that's why, they say. But they don't leave Islam either. In this case, how will they go at their last breath? That is where it is dangerous. That is dangerous.
It resembles the way taken by the house of Pharaoh and the people before them who rebelled against Allah, did not recognize Him and
denied Allah. The ways of these people.
They denied Allah's verses and paid for it very heavily. Because a whole people incurred Allah's wrath and were destroyed.
Pharaoh drowned in the Red Sea with his army. Leaving a bad memory to the worlds, he became an example to people.
Pharaoh is displayed to people in England, in the (?) Museum. The people of Lot, the flood of Noah, the people of Ad, and many more peoples we cannot count were destroyed because of their denial. They denied Allah's verses, they denied Allah. Allah Almighty destroyed some of them by changing their form into apes, some by Gabriel's blast, some by drowning in the sea. Seized for their sins, they were sent to the place they deserved.
the verse, in parentheses, Allah's punishment is very severe, it says; we explain this verse: (?) O people, abandon the way your self and Satan show you; I have made My essence known to you beyond doubt. Allah Almighty says it. What does He say? O people, abandon the way your self and Satan show you. I have made My essence known to you beyond doubt. I have bestowed so many blessings on you. Despite this, if you do not use your reason, and of Pharaoh and his house, of those before them, follow the evil way, and deny Allah's verses, then know that you too will in the same way meet the same fate, you will. Hodja, after this there is no more destruction; how does the same fate happen here? We give them two or three calamities a year, He says; they are not destroyed like those destructions, but in them many also are destroyed: like the tsunami wave, like earthquakes, disasters, like volcanoes, doesn't it happen? Thousands of people die.
Yes. Forty thousand, more than a hundred thousand people die. Perhaps there weren't even that many people in those destructions. Perhaps there weren't even that many people in that people.
These too are Allah's calamities.
Yes. Your place of return too will be hell. What an evil place of return that is. What a severe place of punishment that is, He says.
