Say to the deniers; “You will soon be defeated and driven to hell.” What a bad place it is to dwell!
Tafsir
Allah (swt) has given glad tidings of the victory of the armies of Islam over the disbelievers in this verse. Indeed, by leading the armies of Islam to victory, Allah is manifesting the clear miracles of the Holy Qur'an. It also informs us that no living creature can escape death by tasting death, and that criminals who are guilty of being in bondage to their souls will be dragged to torment in the Hereafter.
Allah (swt) addressed the Prophet (s.a.w.), O Messenger! Say to those who disbelieve: You will soon be defeated and driven to Hell. This is bad news for those who disbelieve. Is it worth it to exchange the temporary life of this world for eternal life, is it worth it to exchange the desires of this world for a little while for the misery of the eternal life? Is disbelieving in Allah and not fulfilling His commands and prohibitions something that a rational person would do?
(It is a place of torment of every kind for the sinners of mankind. The name of that place is Hell, where no one can help anyone and where people are left alone, subjected to all kinds of tortures and there is no eternal salvation from it. (It is an evil place to stay).
What is said in the video
What are they choosing, I wonder? Better. My Messenger, say to those who disbelieve, you will soon be defeated and driven into hell. What an evil place to stay that is.
Say to those who disbelieve: you will soon be defeated and into hell driven. What an evil place to stay that is.
Its true meaning, true meaning, we wrote (?) I don't know, here. We wrote this generally in a language people would understand.
Here in parentheses it says, My Messenger.
Since the Prophet is one, and since the verses will rule until the Day of Judgment, if this verse had been a verse only for the time of the Prophet (peace be upon him), it would have been a verse left in the past. Since the verses will rule until the Day of Judgment, the true meaning here: O people, surely death will seize you by the collar, and however much you struggle with life, you will be defeated and you will die. Your return is to Me. This supports the verse. Its true meaning is this. What does it say? Say to those who disbelieve: you will soon be defeated.
Not only those who disbelieve. All people. And you will be driven into hell. Because hell is beneath it, those who disbelieve. This. You will soon be defeated. This is for all people. It applies. But for those to be driven into hell, it addresses the unbelievers: that is an evil place to stay, it says. Here we wrote for the general public: with this verse Allah Almighty gives the good news of the victory the Islamic armies would win against the unbelievers.
Indeed, by bringing the Islamic armies to victory, Allah the Holy Quran's miracles openly (?). Also, that the selves taste death, that no living being can escape death, and that the criminals who oppose their self will be (?) to punishment in the hereafter, He makes known. We have already written this too. Here we wrote it in finer language. What did we say? Also, the selves taste death. That no living being can escape death, that the criminals defeated by their self will in the hereafter, to punishment, be (?), He makes known. We expressed it very nicely here. But the real (?) is this last sentence of ours.
That is, this is the true meaning of the verse. Allah Almighty, addressing the Prophet (peace be upon him): O My Messenger, say to those who disbelieve: you will soon, defeated, be driven into hell. You will be driven into hell defeated. For those who disbelieve, what evil black news this is. Black news. You know, people give others good news. Congratulations, you've had a son. Or they say, you've had a grandchild. And then they say, every soul will be mortal, brother. Yourself — you know, we are all mortal. Your father, may he rest in peace, may you live long, has passed away. This too is black news.
So what is it that Allah Almighty, in this verse, gives people, those who disbelieve? Evil black news. What does it say? say to those who disbelieve: you will soon be defeated and driven into hell.
For those who disbelieve, what evil black news this is.
Is it worth exchanging the fleeting life of this world for eternal life? Again we say, is it worth it? To exchange the self's desires in this world for a short time for the suffering of your eternal, everlasting life?
We said a person's 60–70 years of life here are like 1–1.5 hours. A thousand years here are like one day of the hereafter. So within time, of Allah Almighty, who creates time, in this world He has created, for man, with the feelings of the self, to turn the hereafter, his eternal home, into punishment — is that the work of reason? Is it something a reasonable person would do?
To deny Allah, not to carry out His commands and prohibitions — is that something a person of sound mind would do, is it, we say. What an evil place to stay that is. Where is this? Hell. A place of every kind of punishment for the sinners among people. Where no one was of any help to anyone, and where people, left alone, exposed to all kinds of torture, have no eternal escape from it. That place is hell. Allah protect us.
