Verily, there is a lesson for you in the situation of the two groups that faced each other (in the battle of Badr). One is a group fighting for the path of Allah, the other a group that sees the others as twice their size. Allah supports with Allah’s help whoever desires from Allah. Surely in this, there is a lesson for those who can see.

Tafsir

The polytheists of Mecca prepared an army to destroy Islam. They set out towards Madinah al-Munawwarah. Upon hearing this, the Prophet (SAW) prepared a troop and set out against the polytheist armies. They met at a place called Badr. Although the polytheist armies outnumbered the Islamic armies, as a miracle of Allah, they saw that the Islamic troops were twice their number. After a bloody battle, the Islamic troops won a clear victory by slaughtering Abu Jahl, the head of the polytheists, and the leaders and commanders of the Meccans.

For those who stood on the side of Allah (swt), our Lord showed His signs and wonders. When those who were with Allah showed the miracle of Allah (swt) to the people in an unmistakable way, Allah (swt) left these events, the victories of those who were with Allah, as a memento for the worlds. This is what Allah (swt) refers to as the two unions, one fighting for Allah and the other fighting against the pagans who do not recognize Allah, and Allah (swt) shows through these miracles that those who say Allah, those who fight for Allah, those who ask for Allah's help, and those who are with Allah will not be defeated, by mentioning the miracles of Allah (swt) and the help of Allah (swt).

(Surely, there is a great sign in this for those who have clairvoyance.) There are great signs for people who have clairvoyance, who use their minds, who control their souls, who are judged by the Verses of Allah, who know Allah (swt) intimately, and who know His existence and worship accordingly. People who know that Allah has not left these people alone, that Allah is with those who are patient, and that those who put their backs to Allah will not be victimized, are great examples for those who obey and worship Him as if they see their Lord.

What is said in the video

What does it say here? In the state of these two groups that faced each other at Badr there is a great lesson for you, it says.

I want you to listen to this part carefully. This verse, look, what does it say? That faced each other at Badr — in the state of these two groups there is a great lesson for you. Who are these two groups? One, the polytheists of Mecca, and the other, of the Prophet (peace be upon him), the army. One hundreds of thousands, the other an army of around three to five thousand or even fewer. Well, as Allah Almighty is the Creator, are these people not His servants?

Did He create them for hell and set them against these? Look what it says again? Use your reason well. In the state of these two groups that faced each other at Badr, for you a great lesson there is.

The meaning here: I created all people. But the one who turns his back on Me, what?

Among those who are God-fearing toward Me, I, using My justice, to those who obey Me gave help, says Allah Almighty. Don't you too drift away from obedience to Me, He says. Let these two groups be a lesson to you, He says. A lesson: a very small army, your Lord who brought it to victory against hundreds of thousands of polytheists — see His grandeur, it says here. Let it be a lesson to you, it says. And this is the true meaning of the verse here now. What does it say? In the state of these two groups that faced each other there is a great lesson for you, it says. What is this lesson? One, a group fighting in the way of Allah — look, He opens it now, Allah Almighty does — one, a group fighting in the way of Allah.

The other, one that clearly saw them as twice its own number, an unbelieving group. That the polytheist army of hundreds of thousands, that army reaching hundreds of thousands, saw a very small army that worships Allah as twice itself. yes, then there, here the error begins, we correct that part what does it say? Allah supports whom He wills with His help, it says we said: our Lord has no wishing over us; in response to our wishing, there is. Here: Allah, with His help, the one who wishes supports — the one who wishes; otherwise they too are Allah's servants. The polytheists too are Allah's servants.

So who will wish it? The Muslim will wish it. Well, didn't he wish? Of course he did. Who wished? The Prophet (peace be upon him) wished. The mercy to the worlds. What did he wish? O my Lord, will You have this handful of Muslims slaughtered here, he says? When he saw those hundreds of thousands. And Allah Almighty: O My Beloved, those standing in ranks, the thousands of angels, do you not see them, He says. At your command three thousand angels, and if needed two thousand more.

Yes. Who wished? The Prophet.

The verse continues. Surely in this, for those with insight, a great lesson there is, it says in the verse. What is this person of insight? Man: that the one who is with Allah will never have his back touch the ground, that he will reach victory in both worlds, and that he, both this realm and the hereafter making prosperous, goes on — Allah Almighty shows this. He lays that lesson before people.

The Meccan polytheists prepare an army to destroy Islam, and set out toward Medina the Radiant. Hearing of this, the Prophet too prepares a unit, and they set out against the polytheist armies. They meet at a place called Badr. Although the polytheist armies were far greater than the Islamic armies, as a miracle of Allah they see the Islamic units as twice as many.

They see them as twice their own units. After a bloody battle, the Islamic units, by killing Abu Jahl, the head of the polytheists, and his gang, win a clear victory.

The account of this battle is like this: the polytheists, in Mecca, with music and talk, while having fun, Satan, in the guise of an old, venerable elder, comes. The Muslims are preparing a unit, they will come at you. Why are you sitting, why are you standing still, he says. Old, venerable — Satan, taking on the form of an elder and saying this to them, right away they too begin to prepare. to prepare.

Satan, in front of the armies, shows them the way. And finally, when they approach Badr, Satan says exactly this: today I (?), I see what you do not see; I am not here, he says, and runs away. I am not here, he says, and runs away. Because he sees the angels standing in ranks. Yes. For those who take their place in Allah Almighty's ranks, our Lord His instructive miracles has shown. Allah Almighty, by showing the miracle of those with Allah, beyond question, to people, these events, the victories of those with Allah, has left to the worlds as a memorial. What is it? These events, the victories of those with Allah, to the worlds He has left as (?).

At Badr thirty-nine Companions were martyred. The fortieth was martyred on the way. There, when we went to Badr, a plaque, written, their names are written there. Who was martyred. Sir, it's fenced in there. There we said a prayer for completing the Quran. We also prayed a few rakats. You were there too, I think, weren't you, Ahmet?

We were fasting, I think. And we broke our fast there. Food rained down on us from every house there. From every house. I mean, it was impossible to eat it all. Sir, we were embarrassed. If we didn't eat it, it would be rude to them. Sir, we (?) them somewhere there, but so that it wouldn't be rude to them. Yes. At a time they didn't see. May Allah be pleased with them. Their people are Muslim people. People who, sir, open their arms to others.

Surely in this there is a great lesson for those with insight, it says. Those with insight: who use their reason, master their self, are ruled by Allah's verses, know Allah Almighty with certainty, and, knowing His existence, worship accordingly — for such people there are great lessons. Who are these people? These people of insight will use their reason, master their self, and be ruled by Allah's verses, know Allah Almighty with certainty, that is, those aware of the divine manifestations, and knowing His existence worship Him accordingly — for such people there are great lessons. That Allah does not leave these people alone, that Allah is with those who are patient, and that those who lean their backs on Allah will not be wronged — the ones who know this, people who obey and worship their Lord as if they see Him: for them there are great lessons.

Yes. A lesson is something quite different: a lesson, from events that happen, taking lessons, gaining experience,
