Ali 'Imran 39: While Zachary was praying in the place of worship, the angels called out to him (saying); “Allah gives you the glad tidings (of a boy by the name) of Yohannan (John). He will confirm a word coming from Allah (Prophet Jesus), become a master to his people and be a salih (righteous) Prophet”.

Zechariah, in the prayer niche, while he stood in prayer, the angels called out to him: Allah, from Himself, of a child named John gives you the good news; they even say his name. And from the very beginning it is set what he is, the names are set too. The Prophet's name too, Ahmad, is written in the book from the very beginning anyway, Muhammad, in the Holy Quran, yes. That word coming from Allah, Jesus, he will (?). He will (?) Jesus. He will be the master of his people, a prophet from among the righteous, it says. That is how they give the good news. Now, look at the situation of Zechariah (peace be upon him).

What does it say? Allah accepts Zechariah's prayer. One day, one week, while he stands in prayer, the angels call out. And they say exactly what is in the verse. What is mentioned as a word coming from Allah, in this verse, is Jesus. What is meant by 'he will confirm him': Jesus, in the time of John, came into the world. And John, before Jesus came into the world, by the law of Moses would act. When Jesus became a prophet, he acted by his law. What is meant by 'he will be the master of his people': he would preach to and counsel the Children of Israel. John also read the Torah at a young age.

Now, here we are not explaining this, this verse. Actually here, in the first meaning, in a way people would understand, we closed the verse. Why? The verse after it will say that anyway. Zechariah is old and says: My Allah, I am past my age, how can I have a child? If I am to have a child, a sign for me. As a sign for you, He says, for three days you will not be able to speak, He says. Now it comes in the verse.

What does it say here? It gives the good news of the child. That word coming from Allah, Jesus, he will confirm: John. As a prophet to the Torah of Moses he adhered, to the Torah of Moses. The king of that time, Andokyan it must have been. That king, I can't quite remember the name right now, the king's. As I said, it seems like such a name to me. I don't dwell much on names anyway. The reason is that the name doesn't matter; what matters is the event, the event. Could be Ahmet, could be Mehmet. And John says,

Someone has appeared who speaks like you. Alhamdulillah, he says. My namesake has appeared, he says. My namesake. He knows. That Jesus would appear too.

I, he says, will not give you a fatwa on this matter. But, he says, it is written like this in the Torah, he says. I do not follow the Torah, he says. I follow the religion of Jesus, he says. The Torah is in the religion of Jesus anyway. The Gospel. The Gospel, the Torah, the Psalms, the Quran too anyway. So when he says, I follow the religion of Jesus, he is not denying the Torah. He does not deny its original, but he denies that deviation. So why does he deny it? They, it says, with their hands, their own ideologies, saying Allah said them, put into the Torah. The true books of the Torah, the Psalms and the Gospel are not around.

The true ones are gone. Their true versions are in the Holy Quran, as verses.

Then his elder sister flies into a rage; the king's elder sister has John thrown into prison. When he would not give the fatwa.

Then, going even further, they have John's head cut off.

Hearing that John's head would be cut off, Zechariah (peace be upon him) sets out to save his son. And the Jews follow Zechariah. They want John's head cut off. Why? Because with them lineage had gone so far that, it says, lineage went so far that they began counting even the dead in the (?), it says. A Jewish woman says: to produce my line, she says, I would never shy away from sleeping with my father. That is the Jew, this is the Jew.

For the continuation of her line. To keep this mentality alive and to block the truth, those who wanted John's head cut off are following Zechariah (peace be upon him). Zechariah (peace be upon him), seeing that he is being followed, into a hollow trunk goes and hides. They close the hollow trunk from both ends and cut it with a saw. Zechariah (peace be upon him). By sawing the trunk, they saw Zechariah (peace be upon him). Would you kill your prophets, says Allah Almighty. Yes. They are such a people, an accursed people of the earth, accursed; they are the strife of the earth; where they are there is no peace, because they themselves have not found peace.
