Translation

They were convicted with damnation on this earth and on the Day of Judgment. Know that (the nation of) Ad have denied their Lord. (And) know that Hud’s nation, A’ad, is expelled from Allah’s Mercy.

Tafsir

By the destruction of such a cruel and tyrannical people, Allah declares that they will be cursed both in this world and on the Day of Resurrection, and that they will be devastated in this world by a fierce howling whirlwind, and in the Hereafter they will be in the grip of eternal torment. Allah (swt) also addressed the people and took the believing people as witnesses (Know that the people of Ad disbelieved in their Lord, and know that Hud's people, Ad, were kept away from the mercy of Allah).

If one hears this verse, and it is proved by events and by the existence of Allah, and our Lord informs us that these people were deprived of Allah's mercy and were subjected to an eternal curse and punishment, what kind of a person of reason would follow in the footsteps of this people and not believe in Allah and the Hereafter? What kind of pride and arrogance is it that despite all the pain, sorrow, wrath and curses, they still disobey Allah (swt), do not recognize Him and deny the Hereafter? May Allah give us all a good realization. May he be a servant to Allah and an ummah to the Prophet!

What is said in the video

60th verse; Surah Hud's 60th verse. In this world and on the Day of Resurrection they were pursued by a curse. May Allah protect us. Know that the people of 'Ad denied their Lord. Allah Almighty takes people as witnesses, too. "Know that," He says; since Allah speaks the truth, we say (?). (?). Yes. And know too that 'Ad, the people of Hud, were removed far from Allah's mercy. Yes. May Allah protect us — that is, destined for Hell forever now. If they are far from His mercy, they are destined for Hell forever. With the destruction of such an oppressive and tyrannical people, Allah makes known that both in this world and on the Day of Resurrection they were pursued by a curse; in this world, their (?) ruin by a fierce howling, a howling hurricane, and in the hereafter, that they are in the clutches of an eternal, endless torment.

Now here, apart from what we said, there is another punishment. The punishment of the grave.

"Hud's people," it says — the people of Hud. A verse indicating that they are in the punishment of the grave. Now, how do we understand this? Look, how do we understand it? In this world and on the Day of Resurrection they were pursued by a curse. The "were pursued by a curse" here. Both in this world and on the Day of Resurrection. In that case, since it addresses the people coming until the Day of Resurrection, as long as the world stands, since it says "they were pursued by a curse", does it not also show that they are in the punishment of the grave? Yes. We don't go into this much here; we just skim over these.

In this world, their (?) ruin by a fierce, howling hurricane, and in the hereafter, that they are in the clutches of an eternal, endless torment, He makes known. Moreover, Allah Almighty, addressing people and taking the believers as witnesses too: Know that the people of 'Ad denied their Lord. And know too that 'Ad, the people of Hud, were removed far from Allah's mercy. Then, when the mercy is lifted too, of course, yes, they will be subjected to the punishment of the grave. Yes. A person hears this verse, and through events, with Allah's existence, our Lord tells us that these people, deprived of Allah's mercy, were subjected to an eternal curse and punishment — and what sensible person, following the trail of this people, does not believe in Allah and the hereafter?

Which sensible person? Does not accept the religion of Islam, the last that Allah sent — and what pride and arrogance is it, that despite all the grief, sorrow, wrath and curses, he still opposes Allah Almighty, does not acknowledge Him and denies the hereafter. Let me add one more: that as a Muslim, although he hears the truth, he still runs after superstition and continues on the path of gratifying his own nafs.

May Allah grant all of us good understanding. May He make us servants to Allah and a community to the Prophet. Yes.
