An-Nur 26: Bad women befit bad men and bad men befit bad women. Pure women befit pure men and pure men befit pure women. The latter ones are far from what they (the slanderers) are saying. There is forgiveness and a beautiful provision for them.

We have come to verse 26 of Surah An-Nur.

Bad women for bad men, and bad men for bad women, pure women for pure men, and pure men befit pure women, so it says. How beautiful. Look at today: those they call stars, the stars of Hell, the stars of kufr, carry on with one another. Nobody knows who they are sleeping with.

Today I read a piece of news here. I will say her name too. Hülya Avşar has taken another lover. She goes around with him; they ask, will you marry? Not certain yet, she says, she'll say we haven't got to know each other yet.

Tomorrow she'll say so long, and take up with someone else. If we hide these truths when we say these are performers, these are artists, we will have concealed Allah's verses, and they will have continued their evil too. Perhaps, when they hear Allah's verses this way, they will find the truth, turn to the truth and attain salvation. We want everyone, the people Allah created, to attain salvation. We want them to be reformed. We are all our Lord's creatures. Yes. What does it say? Bad women for bad men. And the men, today they sleep with this one, tomorrow with that one, tomorrow (?) they get married. They too have no cause of reputation, honor, well, whatnot, nothing like that. That is, no concern for chastity or anything.

Whoever sleeps with whomever, so be it. If his nafs likes it, he marries. Bad women for bad men, bad men for bad women, pure women for pure men, and pure men befit pure women. These last are far removed from what the slanderers say, it says. That is, when it says good men for good women, good women for good men, these last, it says, are far removed from what the slanderers say. For them there is forgiveness and a beautiful provision, it says. Allah Almighty (?). That is, forgiveness for themselves. Well, weren't they a good man, a good woman? Why were they forgiven? There is no created being among people who does not make mistakes.

In that case, of course, since Allah Almighty created the most honorable being He created, man, deficient compared to His Being, people will make mistakes. But when a person repents, when he holds Allah Almighty great, when he sees himself in helplessness, our Lord will accept his repentance. That was the very purpose of creation anyway. That we know His Being, and that a person knows himself to be in helplessness. Yes. Bad women are for bad men. Because if there were no adulterous men, these women could not find men to approach them. Therefore these women are worthy of the bad men who approach them.

Yes.

And bad men befit bad women. Because these men, too, act against the commands of Allah Almighty, against the commands they act. By approaching bad women, they disregard their honor and dignity. Therefore these men befit bad women. These two groups, on the bad path, under Allah's attribute of wrath, with their rebellion against Allah and their denial, complete each other for their worldly pleasures. Their family ties bind them to each other with cotton threads. Among these bad people, the woman has no trust in her husband, nor the man in his wife. Because they are addicted to a vice. Therefore they also have no family happiness.

Restless in this world and, in the Hereafter, an eternal punishment: that is what they are.

Pure women befit pure men. Because these pure women do not go near adultery, which Allah has forbidden. They fear Allah. Therefore they keep away from bad, adulterous men. Also, when they sense adulterous women, they move away from them too. They do not even keep neighborly relations. These are chaste women. They do not even appear before men who are forbidden to them. And pure men befit pure women. Because these women protect the man's name and honor. Pure men, because they fear Allah, do not go near a vice like adultery. Therefore they avoid acts that would humiliate the wife at home. Their family ties are firm.

The man fully trusts his wife, and his wife fully trusts the man. These people, in hardship and plenty, in illness and misfortune, do not abandon each other. They do not step outside Allah's command.

So these pure men and pure women are far removed from the slanders that the hypocrites and slanderers will make against these people. For a slander made against them, Allah Almighty, as if bringing a public prosecution, seizes these slanderers. In this world He gives them misfortunes and pains, and in the Hereafter an eternal punishment. With this state of theirs, these people have incurred Allah's wrath. Whoever slanders a chaste woman, he is (?) Allah's wrath.
