Translation

Oh you believers! When you stand up to establish the prayer, wash your faces and your hands up to your elbows, rub your heads (with water) and wash your feet up to your heels. If you become junoob, make a complete wash. If you are sick or on travel, or if you came from the toilet or have approached women and could not find water in these cases, make ablution (tayammum) with clean earth by wiping your face and hands (up to your elbows) with it. Allah does not want to cause hardship on you, but Allah wants to purify you and complete Allah’s blessings on you so that you will be grateful.

Tafsir

Allah (swt) makes people worship in order for them to be spiritually and materially clean. Through these acts of worship, people get closer to Allah by achieving the love of Allah, reforming their nafs, giving up bad habits and becoming spiritually clean. It also ensures that people are healthy by making them observe material cleanliness.

When you get up for prayer, rinsing your mouth, inhaling water into your nose, washing your hands and face, washing your hands up to the elbows, wiping the head, cleaning the ears, cleaning the neck, and washing the feet up to the heels, both make people observe cleanliness and prevent people's illnesses by performing ablution. When people perform ablution, according to the science of today's technology, it completely prevents heart disease.

Allah does not do anything in vain. And this way of doing wudoo' is to prevent heart disease and to prevent heart disease. This is because wudoo' prevents heart disease in this case. In this respect, there was no such thing as heart disease in Islam, provided that we do not go back too far in time. If heart disease is seen in people who pray today, it is seen in people who have not prayed or performed ablution since they came of age. He started praying and performing ablution late in life, his heart valves and blood vessels have weakened, and ablution after that cannot stop heart disease, even if it prevents the disease from progressing. In this respect, Allah's recommendation in this verse is to protect one's health by observing internal and external cleanliness.

(If you have become junnu', perform ablution). Substances that are not anti-magnetic but magnetic, that is, all substances that can conduct electricity, charge the static electricity in the air, that is, the mischievous energy, as they travel through the air. By performing ablution, the static electrification in the human body is given to the earth through the contact of water with the earth and its conductivity, and by giving this electricity to the earth, which will have an effect and damage on human cells, both stress is relieved and the human body attains peace and comfort. At the same time, by washing people, the dirt that comes out of the pores of the skin on the body is cleaned and the bacteria that will stink in the human body are removed.

And when a person is in junaabah, there is a surplus of electricity in the body due to the electrical signals emitted by the human body. This is harmful to the human body. When you cannot find water, Allah (swt) makes you strike your hand on the ground to discharge this surplus electricity in the human body and relieve the body. When a person is junnu', the impurities in the body are expelled through the pores of the skin of the whole body, and by washing, people are cleansed of these impurities. Therefore, in Islam, if there is any part of the body, even the size of a pinhead, that is not wet, it must be washed again to get rid of the impurities. This shows how much importance Islam attaches to cleanliness.

In this respect, it is reported that if one does not find water and does wudoo' with tayammum, he should wash immediately when he finds water and the tayammum is invalid.

We have described tayammum in previous verses. It is useful to describe it here as well. Tayammum is a twofold intention. It means that a person intends to perform ablution or to clean his body, then he rolls up his sleeves up to the elbows and touches his hands to the ground. Then he lifts his hands off the ground, brings his two hands together, the thumbs of both hands touching each other. Then he wipes his face. Then the hands touch the ground again, the thumbs of both hands are brought together and the hands are clapped together, the palm of the left hand is turned so that it faces the sky, the back of the right hand touches the left palm and continues until the elbow. When it reaches the elbow, the palm of the right hand is turned so that it is facing the ground and the arm is pulled back at the elbow and the palm of the right hand is taken out of the palm of the left hand. Again both hands are in contact with the ground. Again, the thumbs of both hands are made to hit each other. The same is done for the left hand and the person performs tayammum wudoo'.

Even if people are sick, they can still perform tayammum ablution by touching the soil, or if they cannot find soil, they can perform tayammum ablution on the plastered wall of a plastered room in their house by doing the actions we have described, in order to rid the body of this overcharged electricity.

(Allah does not want to cause hardship to people) This means that if you encounter such incidents in your body, either in your state of wudoo' or in your worship, they will have an effect on your bodies, so we are showing you ways to get rid of these effects. These are for your benefit. If you do these things, you will find life. And you will be fulfilling my commandment. We are not responsible for the physical suffering and illnesses that you will suffer if you do not follow these things.

People look for excuses for their egoistic behavior. When they see the punishment on the Day of Judgment, if they say, "You gave me this disease and I could not worship you," they are responsible for the disease because they did not fulfill Allah's command. Allah also gives illness to people from His side, which is a test. If a person is patient for the sake of Allah with this illness from Allah, Allah will atone for his sins as a reward for the illness that He has given him. So Allah does not intend hardship for you. He wants to make you pure. Allah loves His creatures so much that He shows them ways to live a peaceful and healthy life. If people follow what Allah says, which is in their own interest, Allah will also complete His blessings upon them. If people understand this and give thanks to Allah for the blessings they receive, they will receive Allah's mercy.

What is said in the video

Surah Al-Ma'idah, the sixth verse.

O you who believe, when you rise to perform the prayer, wash your faces, your hands up to the elbows, wipe your heads, and wash your feet up to the ankles, He says. How beautifully He describes ablution. If you are in a state of major impurity, take a full ablution. If you are ill or on a journey, or one of you comes from the toilet, or you have touched women and in these states you cannot find water, with clean earth perform tayammum, and your face and your hands up to the elbows with it wipe. Allah does not want to make any hardship for you. (?). He wants to make you thoroughly clean and to complete His blessing that He has bestowed on you.

The verse at the end is wrong. So that perhaps, it says. Look what it says. So that perhaps. Yes.

Surah Al-Ma'idah, verse 6.

So that perhaps you will be grateful, it says. So that perhaps. Allah does not say 'so that perhaps'. This ascribes attributes to Allah. In such verses, even if there is a single error, we take it as wrong. Why? All of it is right, but at the end 'so that perhaps' ascribes attributes to Allah. If it ascribes attributes to Allah, you cannot explain this verse this way. Very well. If you say 'so that perhaps' to Allah, then Allah does not know what people will do. And it denies this verse. Which verse?

There is no (?) living being to come until the Day of Judgement whose doings Allah does not know. What else? Which verse does it deny? We made a covenant with the children of Adam. We made a covenant with those who would emerge from Adam's offspring, He says. Yes. Their (?) and wishes, their desires, We wrote for them as destiny, He says. So if Allah, who wrote their destiny and knows what people will do, says 'so that perhaps', it denies this verse too. It denies this too. You cannot say 'so that perhaps' about Allah.

Then what do we say? You understand and give thanks. That's what it says anyway. You understand and give thanks.

Allah Almighty, so that people can be clean spiritually and materially, wants to make them worship and, with these acts of worship, out of love of Allah, by reforming their nafs and giving up their bad habits, being spiritually cleansed, to bring them closer to Allah. And by observing material cleanliness He ensures that people are healthy. Allah Almighty, by making them perform their material cleanliness, protects people from diseases. You have come out of the toilet; many coliform bacilli from that excrement spread to people; you will wash your hands. Well, water is a cleanser; you will come out with soap too.

Even if you only urinate, you clean yourself. Again you will wash your hand. This is a condition of the religion of Islam. This is cleanliness. Cleanliness is part of faith, he says. Yes. When you rise to prayer, washing your hands with your faces, washing your hands up to the elbows, wiping the head, cleaning the ears, washing the feet up to the ankles, both by making people observe cleanliness and by taking ablution, it prevents people's illness. With people taking ablution, according to the science of today's technology, it completely prevents heart disease. We all know ablution. There is benefit in describing it once.

As we all know, while taking ablution, what do we do? We recite Amantu billahi. It has some things, and since not everyone knows them, we take ablution reciting Amantu billahi. Three times we take plenty of water into our mouth. First we rub our hands well, three times, along with between our fingers. After washing all over from the wrists like this, we take water into our mouth three times. Then three times we draw water into our nose and clean it. Then three times our face, well, from the hairline of the forehead here, like this, to under our beards, we wash our face three times. Then three times our arms up to the elbows, well, we start from the right. Then from the left we wash them well three times.

Then we wet our hand so as to wipe at least a quarter of our head and wipe our head. We wipe (?).

There are (?) veins. The pulse of blood. By cooling our head, constricting the veins, there it prevents a brain, well, a vein from bursting. How beautiful. These are the benefits of ablution. Then we (?) our hand. We wipe our nape. Inside and behind our ears, with these little fingers, our wetted hand, from our little fingers, with our thumbs we clean behind our ears. Then three times we wash our right foot from the ankle down. And three times we wash our left foot from the ankle down.

You have taken ablution, you are cleansed, you made the intention. You have no water. Then wipe, He says.

Well, perform tayammum, He says. Wipe with tayammum. What is tayammum? Two strikes, one intention.

How is it done, Hodja? You strike your hand on clean earth. Twice you clap your hands together like this. You wipe your face. Again you strike your hand on the earth twice like this. You clap your hands. You open your left palm. Your right palm, the outside of the elbow, you pass it through your left palm up to your elbow, you turn it, your right hand has been wiped. Then you open your right palm. You put the back of your left palm into your right palm. Like this, then turn it. You take it out from here. Your ablution is complete. Why? Until when? Until you find water. Once water is found, the ablution is broken.

Yes.

So ablution reverses heart disease. Well, today when they examined it, when medicine examined it, exactly as we described ablution, they prevent heart disease. Now, back when I was a child, 60-65 years ago, I was 8 or 9 years old. They said so-and-so died of a heart attack. What's a heart, they used to say. Apparently it brings sudden death, the heart stops and so on, they used to say. These came to us from the unbelievers, they used to say. From the unbelievers. It happens to us too, it happens to us too, they would say. Heart disease comes to us too, comes to us too, they would say. Anyway, it was those who spent their lives like this, not praying, not taking ablution.

They apparently (?) heart disease. A Muslim doesn't get heart disease, you see. Look, thanks be to Allah. I am 73 years old. No heart trouble, no diabetes, no cholesterol, no blood pressure. My blood pressure is 11-7, 11-8, the low one 7-7, 7-8. Thanks be to Allah. May Allah protect from the evil eye. You know some say, (?). Yes. That is why from your youth onward Allah (?) you will. You will never create depressions, stress in your head, you won't. Well, no, this happened like that, that happened like this, well, you won't let yourself say those things; you will put your trust in Allah, you will submit to Allah, you will always hold on to all means, you will (?), you will (?).

Well, you will hold on to every means and leave the outcome to Allah. Well, I did this, I took precautions, why didn't this happen? If we say why didn't this turn out like that, then we fall into depression and stress. As Allah Almighty says: the germs, My soldiers (?), I send to whoever wants, He says. And He says: only (?) I send to whom I wish. To whoever wants; if you are in such stress, to every disease you remain open. Yes.

Let's finish our lesson.

Allah does not make anything be done in vain. Taking ablution this way is to prevent heart disease and so as not to get heart disease. Because ablution is in this state. What is preventing heart disease? In this respect, provided we don't go to years long past, in Islam what is called heart disease does not exist. As I explained a moment ago. Today, if heart disease is seen in one who prays too, this too, in a person who since his time, that is, since reaching the age of reason, has not prayed, has not taken ablution, is seen. Or, or by eating and drinking outside Islam it happens. By eating and drinking outside Islam.

What does this mean, eating and drinking outside Islam? If you say I eat lawful food, the Prophet says: (?) get up, he says. If you eat your fill, if you stuff that stomach full, it gets upset, and if you eat so as to upset yourself enough to bring grains up out of your throat, you get cholesterol, you get heart disease, you get the ailment of everything. So you will be in your prayer, your supplication, your ablution. You will pay attention to (?). Very well.

Yes. He started prayer and ablution at a late age. The heart valves and vessels have weakened. The ablution taken after this, although it prevents the disease that would progress, cannot stop the heart ailment. In this respect, Allah, with this verse, recommends that the one who prays take ablution, so that by observing inner and outer cleanliness a person's health is protected.

If you are in a state of major impurity, take a full ablution. What is the full ablution? Let me first describe that to you too. Because these are things that are needed. Your water is little. Little water. (?) downward you wash well, you wash your private parts and so on well. Then you say: I intend to take the full ablution, to cleanse my body. I intend? To cleanse my body. Three times you gargle in your mouth down to your throat; you say madmada. Three times you take water into your nose; you say istinshaq. Then just like taking the prayer ablution, without reciting anything, you wash your face, your hands, your head, your ears, your feet, you pour the water three times from your right, three times from your left, and three times down from your head; if you pour your water so that not a spot of your body as small as a needle's tip stays dry, if your heart is at ease and you know you have washed, you have taken your full ablution, you can pray with that ablution.

Ah, my water is plentiful. Mashallah, my water is plentiful. I have my own well. And (?) it's suitable for drinking and consumption water, it says. It comes in plenty, in quantity. May Allah protect from the evil eye. Water is plentiful. There's natural gas too. Natural gas is plentiful too. It flows. Isn't it forbidden, Hodja? Let it go from there to the streams. To things, to rivers, let it go. Let it flow. Let it not stay underground. Well, Hodja, if you say isn't the (?) burning, for my own (?) I do have a bit done to myself with massage, of course. Of course one will. Yes. Now in this case.

In this case. Again, nicely, you wash from the hand downward. You wash your private parts nicely. Then if you are dirty, you scrub nicely with a loofah. Or you soap your head and so on nicely. Your body, you rinse off the dirt of your neck and so on. You clean the dirt under your armpits and so on. Because bacteria form there as a result of sweating. Anyway, with us there's no hair and such anyway, Allah forbid. Did a (?) grow out to the size of a grain of wheat? It has no (?). And this is within 30-35 days. And at most, normally within 20 days, a person, yes, shaves (?). Here, well, after washing nicely and cleaning himself, again exactly you say: I intend to cleanse my body.

Three times you gargle again. Three times you take water into your nose. You do istinshaq. He takes his ablution just like the prayer ablution. Again from your right, your left, down from your head you wash with this water. Ah, alhamdulillah. You come out of there at peace. This is the full ablution. Yes. Ha. There's no water. What shall I do? Then again to tayammum. Allah Almighty does not (?), He says. Two strikes, one intention. What did we say? You will strike your hands on the ground twice. Then you will clap them together twice. You will open your left palm. Provided you put the back of your right palm into the palm.

Look, like this. You will turn it up to (?). The second one like this too. Done. But first your face. You wipe your face. Then again you strike twice. You open your hand. Like this. As you described a moment ago. You have taken the full ablution, I mean the tayammum ablution. Until when? Until you find water. Water found, ablution broken, tayammum over.

When a person is in a state of major impurity, the electrical signals the human body emits and a positive electrification occur in the body. This is harmful to the human body. So where you cannot find water, Allah Almighty, by making you strike your hand on the earth, discharges this positive electrification in the human body and relieves the body. This is the scientific side. Yes. Just as is the purpose of washing with that water anyway, to give this electrification in you to the earth. Then why will not even a spot the size of a needle's tip stay dry on your body? Because from that body, from inside all those skins and cells, impurities from the body burst outward. So why do non-Muslims smell?

Why do they smell? Don't look at their washing. Their major impurity doesn't leave, and their washing like that is not washing either. Go to them, they smell very bad. Why did they invent perfume? Perfumery, to suppress their smells, their impurities. Perfumery. So those impurities coming out from under the body's skin in them, fully are not cleaned, because she had her hair done, doesn't wash her head, she has nail polish and such in some places, doesn't wash those; on some places she splashes water, from some places like this she gets out and goes; this is their washing. In this case, so as to let man live healthily, how beautifully Allah Almighty states His rules.

Yes. When people are in a state of major impurity, from the skin pores of their whole body the impurities in the body are expelled, so by washing people are cleansed of these impurities. In this respect, in Islam, if there remains a spot of the body not wetted, even the size of a pinhead, they must wash again and get rid of those impurities. This too shows how much importance Islam gives to cleanliness.

In this respect, taking ablution with tayammum when water cannot be found, washing at once when water is found, and the tayammum taken becoming invalid, are made known. We described tayammum to you in previous verses. Here too we say there was benefit in describing it. We describe this tayammum. We described it to you. Let's not read this part.

Yes. Even if people are ill, so that the body is rid of this excessive charged electricity, those who cannot wash, by contact with earth, or if they cannot find earth, on the plastered wall of a room of their house, by making the movements we described, can take the tayammum ablution. Allah does not want to make hardship for people. What is meant by this: as your bodily state of major impurity, or your worship, or such events you encounter will affect your bodies, We show you the ways to be rid of these effects. These are for your benefit. If you do these, you will find life and you will have carried out My command, commands Allah Almighty.

Moving away from these. If you do not carry out these (?), for the sufferings you will bear bodily, for the diseases you catch, We are not responsible, He says. What does He say? Germs are My soldiers. I sent them to whoever wanted. Then I did not give it. You went yourself. Ah, and except for the afflictions Allah Almighty gives. We test you sometimes in your lives, sometimes in your property, He says. Those are also excepted. Yes. Moving away from these, if you do not carry out these (?), for the sufferings you will bear bodily, for the diseases you catch, We are not responsible. People, with behaviour of the nafs, look for excuses.

On the Day of Judgement, when they see the punishment, if he says: You gave me this disease, I could not worship You, then that person, the disease he caught, because he did not carry out Allah's command, he caught it. The responsibility is his own. What would that person say? You gave me disease, so I couldn't worship. But if you don't carry out Allah's command and catch that disease, He will show you. Look, if you had listened to My command, these would not have happened to you. I described it to you at the outset. Look, (?) germs, My soldiers, whoever wants gets them. You wanted it. (?) you both truly suffered and did not perform the prayer. Today you are responsible for this, He will say.

What was He saying? For the way you used the body I gave you, I will call you to account. Yes.

And Allah gives people illness from Himself, which is for testing the person. As I said a moment ago, well, if a person bears this illness from Allah patiently for Allah's sake, Allah, in return for this illness He gave the person, as a reward, his sins (?). So Allah does not (?) for you; He wants to make you thoroughly clean. Since Allah loves His creatures very much, He shows them the ways of a peaceful and healthy life. And if people observe what Allah says, which is (?) their own, then furthermore Allah completes His blessing upon them. Understanding this, after the blessings offered to people, people give thanks to Allah.

God willing, people will understand. Allah's grace, bounty, generosity and mercy that He has given people so abundantly, if people understand, God willing, they will act accordingly and, in their conduct, in their own favour, to win the Hereafter, attain Allah's mercy, God willing.
