An-Nur 43: Don’t you see that Allah makes the clouds move, then gathers and stacks them up? Then you see that rain comes out of them. From the sky, from the (clouds that are like) mountains there, Allah sends down hail. Allah makes them fall on whoever desires (from Allah). And Allah keeps them away from whoever desires that (from Allah). The spark of the lightning (in these clouds) nearly blinds the eyes.

Translation

Don’t you see that Allah makes the clouds move, then gathers and stacks them up? Then you see that rain comes out of them. From the sky, from the (clouds that are like) mountains there, Allah sends down hail. Allah makes them fall on whoever desires (from Allah). And Allah keeps them away from whoever desires that (from Allah). The spark of the lightning (in these clouds) nearly blinds the eyes.

Tafsir

Allah (swt) declares that He created the worlds with knowledge. The rain clouds that appear before the eyes of the people also show that they are made to rain with knowledge. Namely, the evaporated water rises to the sky in the form of vapor. These water vapors gather in a cloud. These clouds pile up in layers, one on top of the other like mountains. When the clouds laden with water vapor meet the cold layer, the rain grains begin to fall on the earth through the clouds in a state of condensation and compression. Allah, who created everything with water, gives life to vegetation and living things with this rain.

Allah sends rain wherever He wills and as much as He wills. This is in Allah's knowledge. Also, when these clouds, which are in the form of layers of rain, come across a colder layer, the grains of rain turn into pieces of ice and fall on the earth in the form of hail. Again, Allah will cause as many of these ice pellets as He wills to hit those He wills, and He will remove this calamity from those He wills.

When he says that lightning catches people's eyes, he means that these clouds are charged with plus and minus electricity, and as they pass close to each other, there is a jump from the plus-charged electric cloud to the minus-charged electric cloud, and in this case there is an electric shock and lightning occurs in a situation that catches the eyes. If these clouds collide with each other or pass much closer to each other, the phenomena called lightning occur, and since electricity chooses the shortest path in terms of resetting, it chooses the resetting material that is closest to it on a high hill or a flat plain and resets with it on the ground. Because the earth, our world, is electrically neutral, that is, grounded.

Allah, the Creator of these events, has made these events unfold before the eyes of the people, and at a time when it was not understood by science how the rain was made to fall in the time of the Prophet (PBUH), Allah, through His Verses, explains the way the rain falls, and explains that these events are unfolding on His side, and that Allah is Almighty and that there is no other God but Him.

Allah has explained everything clearly to all mankind in the verses of the Holy Qur'an. He has given examples in a language that every human being can understand. If, in the face of this situation, a person still does not see the truth, or if he sees it but does not give up his ego's desires and insists on not submitting to Allah, such people are wronging their own souls.

Allah (swt) will prove His existence and that there is no other God besides Himself with the following Verses.

What is said in the video

They have interpreted this verse wrongly. Surah An-Nur, verse 43 has been interpreted wrongly. Let's take a look, let's see what this wrongly interpreted verse is.

Well, Surah Al-Mu'min, Surah An-Nur, which verse? Verse 43 is here. Let's read the wrong one, let's see what it says in the wrong one. Do you not see that Allah drives some clouds, drives them rightly with His knowledge. Then He brings them together and piles them on top of each other. And you see that rain comes out from between them. From the sky, from the mountains there, from clouds the size of mountains He sends down hail. Then He makes it strike whom He wills. It says, He makes it strike whom He wills. And He turns it away from whom He wills. The flash of these clouds' lightning almost takes away the sight.

Now when it says "whom He wills", whom He wills, here Allah Almighty makes a distinction among His servants.

To the one who wills, the one who wills, He will send it.

A calamity has come. Allah Almighty, in the face of this calamity, will rain His calamity down on these people. But I, among these people, am not deserving of this calamity. What will happen?

When We give a calamity to a town, from that town He takes out the good ones, creates a cause, takes them out, and on their heads that calamity He rains down. If He is going to give a calamity to a town, and a person only worships for himself and does not tell others outside, if he deserves that calamity in that town, he too perishes within that calamity.

There are three kinds of scholars.

The first: He knows, does it himself, does not tell others. This one is fit for burning, it says. The second: He tells others, but does not do it himself. This one too is fit for burning, it says. The third knows, and both does it, does his own worship himself, and also tells others, it says. This one is like the sun, it says. So one of these three is taken out of there, the others meet the calamity together with them. So if Allah Almighty sends it to whom He wills, to whom He wills — to non-Muslims, it says, We give three or two calamities a year, it says. In one of His verses He says this. They, it says, just as they help one another, do not turn, it says, and ask Us for help either, it says.

They do not ask for help either. Now We give them this calamity so that they turn back to Us, it says. So that they turn back, so that they know Allah, We give it, it says. Now in this situation these people, when this calamity is given to these people, it is because they willed it. They turned to other than Allah. And Allah Almighty gives a calamity to bring them to their senses. So why does He give us calamity in this situation? Because we too have become like them, that is why He gives calamity. In the old days we had no calamity.

In this situation Allah Almighty uses His attribute of justice. Justice. To the one who wills He gives what he willed, its recompense, both in this world and in the hereafter. So we will read this verse like this. Do you not see that Allah drives some clouds. Then He brings them together and piles them on top of each other. And you see that rain comes out from between them. From the sky, from the mountains there, from clouds the size of mountains He sends down hail. Then He makes it strike whoever among you wills it. And He turns it away from whoever wills. The flash of these clouds' lightning almost takes away the sight.

Now it says, and He turns it away from whoever wills. At the same time this means for us turning to our Lord, praying to Him, so that He gives us no calamity, and that we have submitted to our Lord. What does it say? Let's read it once more.

Then He makes it strike whoever among you wills it. Of course, he does not say Allah, does not say Prophet, does not say Book. Well, and He turns it away from whoever wills, from whoever wills. O Allah, us from these calamities (?), I mean, (?), lift these from upon us. He does not give us these calamities. Well, he prays to Allah Almighty. For example, it isn't raining, right? A calamity. They go out for the rain prayer. Allah! How beautiful. My Allah, it says, Your mercy in abundance. Gently, gently. Your mercy, what does it say? Upon the earth, this is what was called mercy. We pray. We see that the rains are coming.

The clouds are coming. Now it was the one who wills. It wasn't "whom He wills". See, the one who wills. That is, prayers are answered. Here, that we will always pray to our Lord, and Allah Almighty will accept the prayers; here the verses always support each other anyway. Yes. Allah Almighty informs that He created the worlds with knowledge. It shows that the rain clouds appearing before people's eyes are also made to rain with knowledge. How does this knowledge rain down? Rain: as we all know, water evaporates from heat. Right? It rises up. Then it meets that cold layer. The water condensing in that cold layer begins to fall to the earth as rain. The simplest example of this: when a pot boils on the stove, the lid is colder. When the steam there hits the lid, water forms just like that.

Yes.

That is, the evaporating water rises in the sky as vapor. These water vapors gather as a cloud. These clouds pile up in layers on top of each other like mountains. When clouds laden with water vapor meet cold layers, through condensation and compression raindrops begin to fall from among the clouds to the earth. Allah, who creates everything from water, gives life to plants and living beings with these rains. This is a very simple explanation. From the simple.

If those rain clouds came out with the compression of those layers, it would pour as if from a bucket.

Its waters would flow like streams. It doesn't happen like that. Within certain limits, certain strings, and each one's frequency separate, so they do not touch each other, with an infinite frequency it comes down to the earth. Yes. And this is Allah's mercy, His knowledge.

Allah makes rain fall where He wills, as much as He wills. This is true. Where He wills. He makes it rain as much as He wills. This is in Allah's knowledge. Where, what will go, to which animals, let me say, to which living being it will give life, to which trees and plants it will give life, which plants it will dry up, what will happen there, it is within His knowledge.

This is in Allah's knowledge. Moreover, when these clouds, found as rain layers, meet a colder layer, this time the raindrops turn into pieces of ice and fall on the earth as hail. And so (?), again Allah makes these ice grains strike the one who wills, as much as He wills, and from the one who wills He averts this calamity. As I explained a moment ago, He averts them through prayers. When it says the lightning takes people's sight, it describes that these clouds carry positive and negative electric charge, and that as they pass near each other, from the positively charged electric cloud to the negatively charged electric cloud there is a jump; in this case an electric cascade forms, and in a way that takes the sight lightning comes about.

If clouds collide with each other or pass much closer to each other, the events called thunderbolts occur; since electricity chooses the shortest way to neutralize itself, on a high hill or a flat plain it chooses the grounding object closest to it and through it is neutralized in the soil. Because the soil, that is our earth, is electrically neutral, that is, in a grounding state. Buildings (?), right? (?) Its minus.

Allah, who creates these events, these happenings He makes appear before people's eyes — in the time of the Prophet (peace be upon him), at a time when how rain falls was not understood through science, Allah, by describing with His verses the way rain falls, explains that these events appear by His doing and that Allah has power over everything, and that there is no other god besides Him. Allah, with the verses of the Noble Quran, has explained everything to all people clearly and plainly. He has given examples in a language every person can understand. In the face of this, if a person still does not see the truth, or sees it but does not give up the whims of his nafs, and digs in his heels against submitting to Allah, such people wrong their own selves.

Allah Almighty will also prove His existence, and that there is no other god besides His Being, with the following verses.
