Translation

It is as if the lightning will take away their sight. When it enlightens their surroundings, they rush beneath its light. When it darkens around them, they will stay put. If Allah had wished, Allah could have removed their hearing and their sight. Indeed, Allah is The Almighty.

Tafsir

People who deny Allah and remain in the darkness of shirk know that Allah's mercy is abundant and that they will benefit from Allah's mercy in their lifetime. They like the fact that they benefit from the mercy of Allah (swt), that they receive sustenance and worldly blessings. Because of this enjoyment, they try to benefit from the blessings of Allah (swt) as much as they can. In this situation, they secure their worldly gains and carry the burden of the world on their backs.

These people who live in their own nafs forget Allah, follow the footsteps of Shaytan, and run after lust and evil. They swim in the darkness of disbelief in the swamps of the life they call living in their minds.

Had Allah willed, He would have removed their hearing and sight. Do they think that they can deceive Allah (swt), Allah (swt) knows what they, us, those before us and those who will come after us until the Day of Resurrection, will do? Then it is the respite He gives them in their rebellion.

Allah (swt) has created all His creatures with knowledge, He has encompassed all creatures, from the mote to the sphere, with His knowledge. He has taken it under His sovereignty. In this case, our Lord says that He is omnipotent.

What is said in the video

We come to Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 20.

It is as if that lightning would snatch away their eyes. When it lights up around them, they walk in its light; when it grows dark around them, they stand still. Had Allah willed, He would have taken away their hearing and their sight. Surely Allah has power over all things. These verses are as we open them up. What does it say here in verse 21: O mankind — no, verse 20: the lightning flashes as if it would take out their eyes; when it lights up around them they walk a little there, and when darkness falls upon them they stand where they are. Had Allah willed, He would surely have made their ears deaf and their eyes blind.

Surely Allah has power over all things. Yes, it has been opened up more or less (?). There is no mistake here.

In verse 21 there is a mistake. That place, just as we have opened it anyway. People who deny Allah and remain in the darkness of shirk know that Allah Almighty's mercy is abundant, that during their lives, from Allah's mercy they will benefit. What do they know? By what do they know? They know by the intellect Allah Almighty gave to man. This intellect, in the first barzakh, Allah Almighty's (?) (?) the intellect's: a Lord created me. A Lord created me. (?) with his intellect, in this world he knows that Allah will give him his provision. Even the one who denies Allah,

who says there is no Allah, who sets out to prove it, believes in his heart in the existence of Allah. Because that (?) (?) in the first barzakh, in Allah's world, the intellect of 'a Lord created me' Allah Almighty gave to the souls. That is, He gave it to our souls. In the verse it says they said yes, right? Yes.

There, if they had all said yes — look, this yes here is yes in a very wrong sense. If they had said yes there, no person on earth could deny Allah. The meaning of this yes here is a subtle one anyway. The meaning of this yes here is: I gave the souls such an intellect that that intellect, within its own will, [knows]: I was created by a Lord.

So when He says Alastu bi-Rabbikum, I am your Lord, the intellect knows 'I was created'. Yes, if it had not said yes, Allah Almighty an intellect that would make His Being known, that is, make known the knowledge 'a Lord created me', could not have given to it. Its saying yes here means: you too know that I created you, that is, one Allah created me, but because I created you close to My Being you denied Me, you waited for the Lord in your own imagination. So they will not be able to see their Lord — the verses. Those who cannot know these subtleties cannot (?) this passage. They go like this and like this, like this and like this.

Without having seen that place, it is not possible to open this up either. You cannot open it. It cannot be opened with Arabic either. You can only open it like this. In this case people there — Allah Almighty confirms what I said, according to this verse: My Beloved, do not mind their belying you, their calling you a liar. They betrayed Me too in their time. Where? In Allah Almighty's (?). Although I created them, out of their pride and arrogance they did not recognize Me, but although they knew they were created by a Lord, they waited for the Lord in their imagination, they denied Me, He says.

They denied Me. Had We willed, We would have created you as a single community, He says. Had We willed. But with this honour, this dignity and this beauty I gave you, by making you My addressees, with the portion I gave you, I willed that you know Me yourselves, by your own will, He says. Had We willed, He says, again in a verse, from the clouds, He says, We would come down with angels and make you prostrate, He says. So people, in the world of lahut, this state in this way desire. Allah Almighty, who knows their desires, the same verse makes known to us. He makes their desires and wishes known to us.

How do you know? I was in the same feelings there, and that's how I know. If like this it were not this Allah who makes His Being known to us, if there were an Allah who created us, would He introduce us to him? He destroys him. (?) says: this is mine. (?) That is, in your heads: yes, this is our Lord. No one comes out. No one comes out. Those who have not seen these places cannot possibly open these up. Nor can they possibly know the verses. They say it from the Arabic and move on. Yes, we continue.

They know that Allah Almighty's mercy is abundant, that during their lives, from Allah's mercy they will benefit. Benefiting from Allah Almighty's mercy, receiving provision and attaining worldly blessings pleases them. They try to benefit from these blessings as much as needed. In that case, they secure their worldly gains. They load the burden of the world onto their backs. The burden of the world. The Prophet (peace be upon him) says: My community is of three kinds. The first, even if he has no breakfast from evening to morning, (?) trusts in Allah for provision, he says. The second gathers worldly goods, gathers from what is lawful, he says.

There is a fine reckoning in this. What is it? Your neighbour — whether you went to bed hungry or full, you are responsible for it.

Our religion requires this. The third gathers without asking whether it is lawful or unlawful. And for this there is a painful punishment, he says.

In that case they secure their worldly gains, they load the burden of the world onto their backs. Here is another hadith for you. The bankrupt of my community is not the one who (?) in the world, but the one who (?) in the hereafter. So these are the people whose hereafter is (?), who are porters of the world. You are travelling on a ship amid the raging waves of the ocean. And the ship is loaded to the brim with gold. In the middle of this ocean the ship sinks. You give up at the cost of saving your life, you try to load the gold from the ship onto your back. You will take the gold and find life!

You go to the bottom of the sea together with that gold. That is the person who has (?). The person who clings to the little blessing of the world, is deceived, and (?) his hereafter. Yes.

These people who live out the states of their own nafs forget Allah. They follow the tracks of Satan. With lust they run after evil. In the swamp of the life they claim, by their own reasoning, to be living, in the darkness of kufr they swim.

These people who live out the states of their own nafs — had Allah Almighty willed, He would have taken away their senses of hearing and sight, we have said. He would have taken them away. Did they think they would deceive Allah Almighty? Allah Almighty is the One who knows what they — that is, we, those before us and those after us, those who will come until the Day of Judgement — will do. So it is a respite He gives them in their transgression. In their transgression. Why did He send us to this world? Our desires and wishes there, our aims, He gave us as destiny. He worked that destiny of ours in as characters.

Here, seeing Me like the Being you saw, like yourself, you could not believe. I will send you to an unseen world. There I will make My Being known to you. But there too you will carry it out, He says. For this reason, although Allah Almighty knows this, solely because of His being free of deficient attributes, and because Allah Almighty has (?) the attribute of Godhood proven to people, no one will be able to question Allah or call Him to account. The reason: every question one would ask, Allah Almighty will have created. Allah's being, within these beings He has created, in a state of creating at every moment; His creating, according to all His creatures' desires and wishes, according to their states as to what they will do, events; and within those events those people, by their actual deeds, or those animals, those creatures, by the deeds they have done, proving themselves, living.

This too (?) Allah's attribute of Godhood. Our minds cannot grasp it. Yes. So, to prove to us what kind of person we are, Allah Almighty sends us to this world. To this world. And in this world we prove what kind of person we are. What does it say in Surah Al-Mulk? Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. Tebâreke'llezî biyedihi'l-mülkü ve hüve alâ külli şey'in kadîr. What does it say? Dominion, absolute sovereignty. Allah, in whose hand it is, is the Highest of the high, and He has power over all things. Ellezî halaka'l-mevte ve'l-hayâte li-yeblüveküm eyyüküm ahsenü amelâ ve hüve'l-azîzü'l- ğafûr. What does it say now? He who, to test which of you will act best, created death and life.

Now here the word 'to test' — and we change it. Here it is as if Allah did not know. We open this up in a better way. The covenant we gave in the world of the hereafter — in an unseen world, sir, playing out its script and having it written, and as (?) which of us will do better deeds, or what we will do, to prove it to us, to the world of mulk His sending us. Yes. Here.

So the verses must be known well.

These verses cannot be opened up by reason. By reason. Nor can they be opened half-baked with Arabic. (?) or you must be someone given a duty, in order to open this verse. Otherwise it is not possible. So those that have been opened, the commentaries that do not agree with one another, written with judgements given according to their own reasoning. But if you pay attention to what we have explained so far, not a single word is spoken as a worldly word. We always come supporting Allah's verses with Allah's verses.

Yes. Allah Almighty created all His creatures with knowledge. Of course He creates everything with knowledge. From the atom to the globe, He has encompassed all created things with His knowledge;

how has He encompassed them? He did not create a single atom that His Being could not rule over, that would not be under His rule. He created them all aware of them. With what? How did He create them? In their atoms, their electron and proton nuclei, that is, the positively and negatively charged electrodes, while spinning around their own axes, emit a signal. Those signals are programmed to Allah. One, Allah Almighty programmed this whole universe like the inside of a computer. It is all before His eyes. In pitch darkness, on a pitch-black stone, of a pitch-black ant He both hears and sees the walk.

For Him the darkness of night and the brightness of day are one. Yes. Allah Almighty created all His creatures with knowledge. From the atom to the globe, He has encompassed all created things with His knowledge. Because He has taken them under His rule, our Lord says He has power over all things. Yes.
