Verily, Allah does not shy away from giving the example of a mosquito or something above it (to explain the truth). Those who believe know that this is a truth coming from their Lord. But those infidels say “what did Allah mean with this example?”. With examples like these coming from Allah, many go astray and again many others find guidance. With these, only the ones who have gone astray get confused.
Tafsir
What Allah (swt) means when He says: "He does not cease to bring an example to explain the Truth with a mosquito and a greater one" is that He means the most ignorant person and the most knowledgeable person. It is to give examples in a way that the ignorant will understand and the scholar will understand. When people live in the realm of property during their lifetime, those who turn their backs on Allah (swt), those who do not listen to the commands of Allah (swt), will not be able to say to Allah (swt): If you had given me examples in a way that I could understand, I would have obeyed you. The Holy Qur'an has descended to all the worlds and our Lord says, "We do not hold anyone responsible for that which We do not make known. In this case, in the four corners of the world, in the remotest corner, there is no one who has not heard of Islam. On the other hand, hearing it but not learning about it, or throwing it behind one's ears, does not mean that Allah (swt) has not announced it. Allah (swt) shows us the questions that people will ask in the realm of the unseen by creating events beforehand and announces them through His Word, in order to cut off our Lord from the questions that people will ask, by His sanctity from incomplete attributes.
In this case, all the blame belongs to people's own souls.
We continue with the verse (so those who believe know that this is the truth from their Lord).
Allah (swt) addresses the intellect in the Holy Qur'an and says: "Do you never use your intellect, do you never think, how little you contemplate? In this case, He invites people to use their intellect, to make comparisons, and to get rid of superstitious and baseless, empty affairs. He makes appeals for people to return to the truth. He gives reminders and examples.
Those who use their intellect and contemplate these things realize that this is not a human speech, but an invitation from their Lord calling them to guidance. Such people respond to this invitation by preparing for the realm of truth while they are in the mortal world.
Those who have doubts in their hearts about the religion of Allah and Allah, those who disbelieve, those who turn their backs on Allah, those who disobey His commands, those who follow their nafs even though their minds know their Lord, those who listen to nothing but the desires of their nafs, those who pretend that they will never die and that there is no Hereafter, those who turn their backs on the truth even though their minds know the truth, they ask what Allah means by this in order to relieve the restlessness in their hearts and to be relieved so to speak. Those who cannot compromise their nafs, those who run after desires and wishes, block their ears to avoid being depressed against the commands of Allah (swt). They do not want to hear the word of Allah, they feel uncomfortable when Allah (swt) is mentioned. This behavior increases their disbelief. These are the ones who are surprised in the middle of the straight path.
Those who submit to Allah (swt), obey His commands, and respect the rights and laws of others will also attain the promised mercy of their Lord and will be guided. These are the survivors and the victorious.
Only the transgressors are confused by these verses; why are the transgressors confused? Allah (swt) invites people to guidance and salvation because Allah (swt) does not intend injustice to people. In one verse He says (Allah does not intend injustice to the worlds, but man oppresses his own soul) and in another He says (what you earn is the reward of your two hands). In this case, if a person deliberately chooses the wrong, turns his back on the truth, becomes an enemy of Allah and His religion, harbors evil ambitions in his heart, deifies his ego because he is accustomed to living his desires and wishes, and cannot compromise with it, of course, these people will be confused because they do not use their minds, and they will be wronging their own souls.
What is said in the video
We come to verse 26, Surah Al-Baqarah, 26. verse. Surely Allah, with a mosquito and what is bigger, does not cease giving examples to explain the truth, He says. How well He says it. Look now, what I said, Allah Almighty here confirms. What I said, what you said. What did I say? Whether intentionally or unintentionally, consciously or unconsciously. Whatever you ask, I will explain; the crown of my head, he said. Allah Almighty too immediately confirms this in His verse. What does He say? Surely Allah, with a mosquito and what is bigger, to explain the truth, does not cease giving examples. That is, if you wish, in the language the most ignorant of you would understand, I will give him a parable, He says, I will give an example, and to that scholar who is the scholar of your scholars, He says, I will give an example in a way he will understand.
I will never abandon this, He says. Because I will put the existence of My essence into their minds; I will prove it, He says. Yes.
I too will never stop explaining to you. I will explain.
Surely Allah, to explain the truth, with a mosquito and what is bigger, giving examples He does not abandon. Those who believe know that these are a truth from their Lord. But the disbelievers say: what did Allah intend by this example? With such examples of Allah, many become confused, and again many reach guidance. Only the transgressors become confused by them. They translated this verse wrongly too. What does it say? Verse 26 of Al-Baqarah; look what it says now.
Surely Allah, to explain the truth, from giving as an example a mosquito and a being beyond it does not shy away. As for those who believe, from their Lord who gives such examples they know it is the right and truth that has come. As for those who disbelieve, they say: what did Allah intend by giving such an example? Allah leads many people astray by it. Allah does not lead astray. Yes. They wrote: Allah, by it, many people He leads astray. God forbid. What have we said here? Well, with verse 26: what did Allah intend with these examples, they say. With such examples of Allah, many become confused, and again many reach guidance, through His examples.
Well, with the examples He gives, Allah confuses only the transgressors. Why would He confuse? Leads astray, it says. Allah leads them astray. If He is going to lead them astray, why did He send, as a mercy to the worlds, the Holy Quran? Yes. Don't we say now: Allah Almighty, with a mosquito and what is bigger, does not give up giving examples to explain the truth; His intent in saying this, meaning the most ignorant person and the most learned person, is that for the ignorant He gives examples he will understand, and for the scholar He gives examples he will understand; that is it. With these examples both the ignorant and the scholar will draw, from the examples Allah Almighty gives, the moral of the story. Morals, and bearing witness to Allah Almighty's existence, they will submit to Him.
If with these examples that person still, on Allah, turns his back, that person has his own self deified and is a person who has strayed from the truth. He is a person who has strayed from what is right. Those who in their lifetimes, while living in the material realm, turned their backs on Allah Almighty and did not heed His commands, will not be able to say to Allah Almighty: in a way I could understand if only You had given me examples. What did we say? Allah Almighty has the attribute of Godhood. In the Holy Quran. Whatever there is, wet or dry, is in the Quran. So that the learned person: the example you gave, I already knew it.
It's like this. Such an example. so that he does not question Allah Almighty by saying this, for him too there are examples from which he will draw a moral. He will give examples. And to the ignorant who says, why didn't You tell me, examples he will understand He will give. And with the sharia ruling Allah Almighty, from the most ignorant to the most learned, will address them. This is only within Allah's knowledge. Yes.
The Holy Quran to all the worlds, the Holy Quran to all the worlds was revealed. And our Lord: We hold no one responsible for (?) We have not made heard, He says. In this case, in the four corners of the world, in its remotest corner, there is no one who has not heard of Islam. Today if you go to the poles, even the old Mongols know Islam. They know there is such a religion. Allah Almighty does not (?) anyone for (?) He has not made heard. On the other hand, hearing and not learning, brushing it off, does not mean Allah Almighty did not make it heard.
You heard but did not draw near. Must He pull you by the ear: come here, look, this is the religion of Islam? What will He say to you? A person will convey it to you. If, by the judgment you make within your own will, He will call you to account, Allah Almighty, then if you heard, you will investigate. To find the truth, to know the One who created you, your religion or what you know you will investigate.
On the other hand, hearing and not learning, brushing it off, does not mean Allah Almighty did not make it heard. That Allah Almighty, the questions people would ask in the unseen realm, shows us beforehand by creating events and makes them heard with His word is so that, our Lord being free of any deficient attribute, the questions people would ask are cut off, and the guilt belongs to people's own selves.
According to the verse: what you have earned, the return of your own hands. Yes.
We continue with the verse. Those who believe know that these, from their Lord, are a truth. In the Holy Quran Allah Almighty addresses the mind: do you never use your minds? Do you never think? How little do you reflect? so saying, to make people use their minds, make comparisons, and from false and baseless, empty matters to free them and turn them to the truth, He addresses them. He gives reminders and examples. Yes, those who use their minds, who reflect on these, realize it is not a human word, but an invitation from his Lord to guidance calling him; they grasp this. In the transient world, he does not neglect preparing for the world of truth.
Who? The person who uses his mind. So why does Allah Almighty give man a mind? So that His essence is known. Because He leaves man free in his own will. Look, to humans and jinn.
We will start from verse 26. What does it say? Allah Almighty: surely Allah, with a mosquito and what is bigger, to explain the truth, giving examples does not abandon. Yes. Those who believe know that these are a truth from their Lord. But the disbelievers say: what did Allah intend by this example? With such examples of Allah, many become confused, and again many reach guidance. Only the transgressors become confused by them. Earlier we said that people translated this verse too in a way that ascribes attributes to Allah Almighty. Here we correct it in this way. What does it say? Well, they say: what did Allah intend by giving such an example?
Allah confuses many people by it, it says. You see, all the translations in the Holy Quran are like this. The translations are copies of each other. Let me tell you this. Allah Almighty confuses no one. He confuses no one. And again it says: He guides many to the right path. Allah Almighty, to guide to the right path, to guide to the right path, sends His verses. And no one (?). He doesn't say: don't do it that way, do it this way. I mean, He doesn't take you by the ear and say: this is right, you will go this way. Why doesn't He? He has left everyone to their own will; and then He would be ascribed attributes. If He took me by the ear and said: come, you will go on the right path like this, well, I am Allah's servant, but aren't Ahmet and Mehmet Allah's servants, or aren't the disbelievers Allah's servants too? So He has left partial free will to man; what would He do to anyone? What does it say? He leads to the right path.
Whereas what do we say here? With such an example many become confused, and again many reach guidance. To guidance: through the examples, he reaches guidance himself. Well, what does it say after that? Allah confuses only the transgressors. Allah does not confuse the transgressors either. What do we say? What do we say? Only the transgressors become confused by them. By what? By the examples. Partial free will is in man's own hands. Mashallah to those who say (?). To those who translate the Holy Quran this way and ascribe attributes to Allah, mashallah. With what face did they translate it like this, ascribe attributes to Allah? What did they rely on, and based on what knowledge did they do it this way? May Allah forgive their sins.
Whether their intentions are good or bad, what you do, you will reap anyway.
Yes. Now, Allah Almighty's intent in saying, with a mosquito and what is bigger, to explain the truth, He does not give up giving examples: living or nonliving. Everyone, ignorant or learned, whoever they may be. To the ignorant He gives an example he will understand. To the scholar He gives an example he will understand. Because in the Holy Quran, with Allah Almighty's language of speech, Allah Almighty addressed people in a way they would understand, but since not all of it is in a way people would understand, He raised scholars, and with the scholars to people the path of truth He showed; to save them from misguidance, to bring them out into the light, Allah Almighty sent His verses to people.
In this case, with an example He gave the ignorant. He said mosquito, well, and with what is beyond it, He says, He does not abandon giving examples, He said. The mosquito is the weakest of the animals we know. What does it say next? Mosquito: surely Allah, with a mosquito and what is bigger, when He says this, what is bigger than it? Mosquito; bigger than it, the elephant. Bigger, because it is strong. (?) a strong being, whatever comes to your mind. That is, in this way He likened the mosquito to the mind of an ignorant person, and likened the strong one to a scholar, likened the bigger one to a scholar; He gives a simile here. Because He will give them examples.
Now an example He gives the scholar, the ignorant cannot grasp, cannot swallow. If He gave the scholar an example He gives the ignorant, the scholar would turn around and say: I already (?) this. It would seem superfluous to him, superfluous. In this case, what does Allah Almighty say? He does not abandon giving examples with a mosquito and what is bigger. Why? Because Allah Almighty, to guide His creatures, to show them the truth, proving His own existence in the world, to make known that there is no god other than Him, Allah Almighty constantly brings people similes and examples. Yes.
What do we say next?
We continue the verse. Those who believe know that these are a truth from their Lord. Who are they? Those who believe. Those who use their minds. Doesn't Allah Almighty say: Do you never use your minds? Do you never reflect? Do you never think? So who are those who believe? Way back in pre-eternity (?), in the realm of lahut, when Allah Almighty said, I am your Lord, using their minds, their saying: yes, there is no god other than You. You are our Lord who created us. Their saying so. Yes. We come to it. What do we say here? Do you never use your minds? Do you never think? Saying, how little do you reflect, to make people use their minds, make comparisons, to save them from false, baseless, empty matters and turn them to the truth, He addresses them.
He gives reminders and examples. These, who use their minds and reflect, that this is not a human word, that it is an invitation by which his Lord calls him to guidance, they realize. Nor do they hold back from preparing, from the transient world, for the world of truth. Who are they? Those who use their minds, those who believe. Why? What does he use? The examples Allah Almighty has given. Yes, he says. This is our Lord calling us to guidance. It is His invitation for us, by using our minds, by showing us the ability to compare, to return to the truth, he says. To his return to the truth. Who does this?
Those who use their minds, those who believe. As for the disbelievers, what do the disbelievers say now?
Those who have doubt in their hearts about Allah's religion and about Allah, those who deny, turn their backs on Allah, oppose His commands, who, besides their mind knowing its Lord, follow their nafs, and apart from living out their desires and wishes listen to nothing, who, with the grandeur and pride in their own being, as if they would never die and as if there were no hereafter, act so; to remove the unease their mind gives their heart, to supposedly feel relieved, they say: what did Allah mean by this? What did Allah mean by this, they say. Now here we pass a phrase; let's repeat it. Besides the mind knowing its Lord, besides their mind knowing its Lord, it says.
Besides their mind knowing its Lord. There is a point here.
In the realm of the hereafter, in the realm of lahut, when our spirits were created, Allah Almighty gave each person's spirit, that is, the spirits there, the mind that says: a Lord created me. So when He said, I am your Lord, their saying yes, yes, that is, all spirits being able to say, a Lord created me, knowing that they were created. Here with certain words we say He gave a mind that makes His essence known. Making His essence known. By this, that there is no god other than Allah, we want to convey. Well, otherwise, if it had made His own essence known, His own essence, and if He had given such a mind, no spirit could have denied Allah. So since partial free will is in man's hands, when we say knowing His essence, we mean: a Lord created me.
And since there is no god other than Allah, we speak this way: knowing His essence, we say. But when it comes to explaining, that is, to a fine meaning: since Allah Almighty to man gave from His spirit, since man saw his Lord as just like himself, his own creation, although he knew it, although he knew it, here he said yes, that is, he was created. Since he expected the Lord in his own mind, in his imagination, that the Lord before him, Allah Almighty, had created him, he could not believe. He could not believe. In this case he denied Allah. Their saying yes: those spirits knowing they were created by a Lord.
That is why here he says yes. Kalu bela, he says: yes, I was created. Well, but how do I know that You created me? I don't believe You. Because he expected, just so, the mind in his own imagination, the Lord in his mind, people in this world too, mind you, the Lord in their imagination (?). In that way, into the idols they made with their own hands, the spirit of the god in their minds they put, and in that way they worship them.
Look at the mind, the mind!
Yes, in this case people suffer loss, because other than Allah there is no god. So, every mind's phrase, a Lord created me; the meaning we passed here, besides the mind knowing its Lord: this phrase, that is, a Lord created me. Well, besides that, following their nafs, desire and wish, listening to nothing beyond living them out, to their own being, with the grandeur and pride in their own being, as if they would never die and as if there were no hereafter, those who act so; the unease their mind gives their heart to remove and to supposedly feel relieved, they say: what did Allah mean by this?
How does the mind give unease to the heart? Of their mind, it says, look, the unease it gives their heart. These are all words that want to be explained. Since that mind says a Lord created me, a Lord created. It knows this. Even people who have never seen a prophet, a book or a scholar, even drum tribes, even cannibals, their sorcerers, and through their worshiping of something, know that they were created by a Lord. In this case, despite his mind knowing a Lord created me, that person denying the command that came from his Lord, waiting for the Lord in his imagination and getting no promise from Him, living by your own mind and being a captive of his nafs, pushing all of Allah Almighty's limits and stepping outside them, and his mind that he will be called to account by his Lord for what he did telling him: this creates unease in that person's heart.
That's why Allah Almighty says their hearts are uneasy and scattered. What is the reason? This is the reason. Yes. It doesn't work just by reading and moving on here. If we set out to explain these read-and-move-on passages like this, these books would never end. So what do we say here? Well, to remove the unease their mind gives their heart and to supposedly feel relieved, they say: what did Allah mean by this? Plus, to forget Allah and the hereafter, these, in a world of pleasure and delight, drinking alcohol, committing every vice, losing themselves, by forgetting life, want to relieve themselves.
Well, is this a human now? In my view these are human in appearance, but in appearance they are like four-legged animals. Hodja, they are human too. How can you say this? I say it according to the verse. What does it say? Allah Almighty: they are like four-legged animals roaming the earth. In fact, He says, they are even more astray. Yes. (?) according to this verse he says it. Those who make no concession to their nafs, who chase desire and wish, so as not to be distressed by Allah Almighty's commands, block their ears; they don't want to hear Allah's word; when Allah Almighty is mentioned they are disturbed. These behaviors increase their kufr; these are the ones who go astray on a straight road.
Who are they? Can you describe these people with a verse, Hodja? Of course; what does the verse say? Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. Hatemallâhu alâ kulûbihim ve alâ sem'ihim ve alâ ebsârihim gışâvetün ve lehüm azâbün azîm. On their eyes a veil; their ears We blocked; their hearts are sealed, it says. These do not want to see the truth.
When the Prophet (peace be upon him), to the polytheists, to these disbelievers,
to explain the truth, strained himself, Allah Almighty, through His verse, says to the Prophet (peace be upon him): you cannot make the deaf and the dead hear. How well Allah Almighty puts it. The deaf and the dead. The living dead. These. Yes.
Those who submit to Allah Almighty, who observe His commands, who are they?
Allah's (?). They know it is a truth. Who are they? Those who believe. They know it is a truth from their Lord, but the disbelievers said: what did Allah intend by this example? Now, as for the Muslims, that is, as for those who believe: those who submit to Allah Almighty, observe His commands, and respect people's rights and laws, attain the mercy their Lord promised and reach guidance. These are the ones who are saved and achieve victory. The saved. What is it? Well, those who submit to Allah Almighty, who observe His commands, who respect people's rights and laws, their Lord's promised mercy they attain.
What does his Lord promise? Allah Almighty promises Paradise. Well, can we reach Paradise? What does He say to you in a verse? Who is more true to his word than Allah? So if He promises, if He promises Paradise, if He promises Hell too, if He leaves you free in your will, if you, regarding Allah Almighty's commands and prohibitions, are careful and carry out His command, well, who is as true to His word as Allah? He will give you the Paradise He promised you. If you, with that pride and arrogance, with that glory and fame, with your grandeur, by being the forerunner of kufr in the world, by (?) those people of faith, as the star of kufr, (?), then of course before Allah Almighty you will increase your kufr, and you too will go where you must, where you deserve.
Hey, human, you can't bear a candle flame; to the candle flame stretch your hand. If you can bear it, you can bear the torment of Hell too.
In this world, out of glory and fame, when the Lord who created you tells you cover your private parts, you, in defiance of Him, follow the very footsteps of Satan; in fact I'd say Satan doesn't do what you do, because he fears Allah. He fears Allah; he doesn't do what you do. Well, if he fears Allah, why did Satan become destined for Hell? Because he denied Allah and because he would confuse Allah's servants, since he received such a promise from Allah, he became one of the people of Hell. See, he is stripping you stark naked. What does Allah Almighty say in His verse? Look how well He puts it: let not Satan strip you.
With what? Both by making you (?) from Allah's worldly mercy, and against Allah's command to cover those bodies of yours that He made forbidden, he is stripping you stark naked.
Hodja, you said Satan does not do what you do; he fears Allah. Can you show me something about this, can you tell me? Of course I'll tell you. When the Prophet, in the Battle of Badr, at Badr took up position, Satan deceives the Meccans; a devil in human form leads them as a frail old man, leads the way, leads. When he brings them near Badr, there he says to them exactly this: By Allah, today I fear Allah, he says. You do not see what I see. And I cannot stay here, he says, and runs away. Why does he run? He sees Allah Almighty placing five thousand noble angels, rank upon rank, under the command of the Prophet (peace be upon him), and he runs.
He knows what Allah is. Out of his pride and arrogance he accepted being of the people of Hell. You are following the same path. Despite knowing Allah, that pride and arrogance of yours, that glory and fame, them calling you a star, wrap you in exactly Iblis's character. You too know exactly the path Iblis took. What difference is there between you? No difference. Between you there's an even bigger difference from Iblis. At least he is not seen by people; he gives a temptation. But you, before people's eyes, pushing Allah's limits, try to make people (?) you. Where will you go? How long will you live?
And in the end: every soul shall taste death, and finally your return is to Me, according to a verse. What will you do there? Think a little. Yes, we continue with the verse. Only the transgressors become confused by these verses. Allah did not confuse, but in the verses it always says, Allah confuses. God forbid. Allah Almighty, look, as long as people live, Allah Almighty has no ruling over people.
People who say I am a scholar and present themselves as a star scholar are confused by this too. This man has (?), he's confused, they say. How can my God have no ruling over me, they say. Yes, He has no ruling. I will prove it to you with verses. His ruling over me is only: by 'be', by His will, willing and creating man; that is His ruling. After that, He does not interfere in his will. Here are verses for you. Fe men ya'mel miskâle zerretin hayran yerah: the atom's weight of good I will record, He says. With what? Within the ruling I have given. Ve men ya'mel miskâle zerretin şerran yerah: the atom's weight of evil I will record, He says.
With what? Within the ruling I have given. Here's another verse for you. The verse: what you earn is the return of your two hands. Here's another verse. So if everything is tied to my will, tied to the ruling I gave and to my earning reward and sin by the ruling I made, my Lord has no ruling over me. If my Lord had ruling over me, Hell would be abolished, Hell. I'd say: You said it, I did it. You said it, I did it, I would say. Allah does not intend injustice for the worlds. So He has left people free in their will; in that freedom people, with the rulings they made by their own will, with the deeds they did, it is the return of what their two hands earned.
So does Allah have no ruling? He does! When? When? Look what the verse says. Pay attention to the verse. On that day the ruling is Allah's alone, it says. They translate this as: the ruling is Allah's alone. No, know these passages well. On that day the ruling is Allah's alone. Which day? The Day of Judgment will break. We will be resurrected again at the gathering. The Supreme Court will be set up. So what does Allah say? Today the ruling is Mine alone, He says. Look, the ruling today is Mine alone. Be silent, He says, be silent. Don't speak before Me. Why? We did what we were to do. Through Allah Almighty's attribute of Godhood, every person, what kind of person he is, has proved.
The books written by the noble scribes on his right and left will come before him. And the deeds they did will pass before their eyes exactly like a video. No one will be able to question or ask Allah Almighty anything. So on that day the ruling is Allah's alone; no one can rule in Allah's place. No one, no one at all. The prophets too? The prophets included. Because they too will be called to account. They too. In this case, in this case, if the ruling is Allah's alone, if Allah's alone, fear the ruling of that day.
You will have no helper. You will have no supporter that day either. Only your faith will be your supporter. If with the deeds you did you earned Allah's mercy, that mercy will be your supporter, your friend, your savior. No one else will be able to benefit you. Why? They, it says, there, when Allah's mercy is lifted from them... you know there are the attributes Rahman and Rahim, His mercy to everyone in the universe by the attribute Rahman, and the attribute Rahim in the hereafter only to the believer; when the attribute Rahman, the attribute Rahim is lifted from them, when the attribute Rahim is lifted, I mean when the attribute Rahman is lifted, what will he do?
So there they are alone and (?), He says. His mercy to everyone in the universe
with the attribute Rahman; Rahim, in the hereafter only to the believer, only to the believer; so the attribute Rahim there will be lifted from the disbeliever; neither a friend nor a savior will remain to him. They, it says, that day, realizing they are alone, and that they will be pushed into Hell, when they realize it, their eyes, it says, will bulge out like sky blue, and they will throw themselves face down, it says, on the ground. We will seize them by their forelocks and have them thrown in through a narrow place of Hell, He says. May Allah protect us from the torment of that day, from the severity of that day.
A wise person thinks of his future. Look, people work. He says: when summer comes, I... go to a summer house, he says. He saves money, buys a summer house. If he can save, of course. Or even if he can't buy one, he at least dreams of it. If only I could save like this, I'd go there. If I saved money like this, I'd buy a car; or, I'm retired, if only I could live like this. Why? He always thinks about his past. Look, he thinks about his future. Well, you think about your future in this passing, transient world, but in the abode that is your true, original homeland, why, of the place you will go to, do you not think about the future?
Now, are you wise? I'm asking. Are you using your mind now?
You're busying yourself with the shadow of a tree. When the sun goes, the tree's shadow will vanish. But the tree stays in its place. That is the hereafter. And the world is the tree's shadow. That is, this world is the likeness and shadow of the hereafter, He says. Yes.
What does it say now at the end? By these verses only the transgressors become confused. Why do the transgressors become confused? Allah Almighty invites people to guidance and salvation. Because Allah does not intend injustice for people. And in the same verse, in another verse: Allah does not intend injustice for the worlds. Man wrongs his own self, He says. In this case, if a person knowingly chooses the wrong, turns his back on the truth, if he becomes an enemy of Allah's religion and Allah, if he harbors all kinds of evil ambitions in his heart, if his own nafs runs wild and he is used to living out his desire, if he deifies his nafs and makes no concession from it, of course these people will be confused; they will have wronged their own selves.
Allah Almighty, through His verses, gives us such a beautiful life. Perhaps the verses... so, in a way every person will understand, Allah Almighty wrote His word, but about some words, what does He say? To My word, understood by scholars and explained to you, and brought to life through your scholars, run, says Allah Almighty. And what does He say about scholars? Their passing to the hereafter is like the sun leaving and darkness coming, He says. Such beautiful verses, both in commentary and, well, opening up such commentaries sentence by sentence, we try to explain to you more beautifully. We want, we want thousands of people to be listening to us right now.
Thousands. But unfortunately we look: how many have joined? 111 people came in and left. But those listening are 34 people or 45 people or 42 people. Right now 34 people are listening. Yes. When I say 34 people, I mean 34 internet connections are open. But among these there are some where 20 people are listening, 10 people listening, 5 people listening, 1 person listening; there are, I mean. Well, we want people to listen. In this case, let people find the truth, reach the truth. It weighs heavy on the human nafs. The truths. People... I won't say it, but most of the hodja gentlemen read the commentary and understand it is true. Because there is a (?) here.
But if he were to turn to it, he sees that he is finished. What would he tell? There is nothing. What does he do? Immediately turns his back on the truth; with their own falsehood, with what their minds can reach, they judge and try to tell people, try to tell them something, as far as their minds go. In this case falsehood keeps spreading and spreading. Into people's minds Allah does not fit. Into people's minds Allah does not fit. A person can understand his Lord's verses only as far as his mind allows. If Allah Almighty, with His scholars, to them within a certain capacity, developed their minds by way of unveiling and gave them wisdom, His servants as (?), he too, as far as he understands, to people tries to explain. Once upon a time a man was sitting on a rock, watching the sea waves, thinking about the sea, thinking about Allah.
Allah... at the seaside, on the rock, he is thinking about Allah.
And someone comes opposite him, and at the seaside a tiny well the size of a palm he digs. As the waves come, he tries to draw the water in with a stick. He's trying to draw the sea's water in there.
The man watches that man's action for hours. (?). The man sitting on the rock says: hey brother, what are you doing there? He says: this ocean's water, into this place the size of a palm, he says, I'm trying to fill this pit, he says. Well, don't you have any sense, he says, can that ocean fit there? Can it? He immediately turns to the man: don't you have any sense, he says? Can that Allah fit into your mind, he says. And he vanishes. Khidr, peace be upon him. Can that Allah fit into your mind, he says.
Yes. Everyone perceives Allah as far as his mind allows. So when they hit dead ends in some places, the scholars too show them the way. Yes.
Of this, from Hazrat Ibrahim Ethem I can also give an example. Hazrat Ibrahim Ethem was sitting in his bed (?) sultan, thinking about Allah. Just then there is a noise on the roof. The sultan, you know, says: who's there? It's me, he says. Who are you, he says. My camel (?), he says, I'm looking for my camel, he says. Well, what business does a camel have on the roof, he says. Immediately the person there answers. What business does Allah have in a bed, he says. Immediately the blessed man gets up, abandons crown and throne. He takes to the roads of Medina, the roads of Mecca. And he becomes Ibrahim Ethem.
These are all a beautiful example for us.
