How can you deny the existence of Allah! While Allah is the One Who granted you life when you were lifeless, and Allah will take your life back, and resurrect you afterwards. Then, you (all) will return to Allah.
Tafsir
How can Allah (swt) be denied in the face of such proofs? He is the Creator of all this universe with knowledge. Who created the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them and gave them life. Some people, according to their own minds, deny Allah and say that there is no Allah. But if there is no God, is there life, life and mind in this universe we call the universe, and these things have established their own unity and togetherness by arming themselves with knowledge? The object called nature emerged and produced itself.
O man! If there were such a thing, He would be a God, He would keep Himself alive, He would be inseparable from His creations, He would be immortal. These are baseless and groundless words invented by Nimrod, Pharaoh, Abu Jahl and their descendants.
In their time, both Nimrod and Pharaohs proclaimed themselves as gods. In the end, they could not avoid submitting to the Verse (all souls will taste death). Finally they tasted death. Allah's promise was fulfilled. One day they will be held accountable in the day of reckoning in the presence of God.
Allah, the Awwal and Ahir, the Zahir and the Batin, is eternal, and all other creations are mortal. When the time comes, the Day of Judgment will come and Allah will remain. So, Allah, who created us first, is the one who gives us life. Then He will make us pass away, then His Word, which is the truth, will appear. That is, He will resurrect us again. All souls will taste death, then the Judgment will take place, then we will be gathered in the Presence of Allah, and we will be held accountable in the Court of Qubra. Allah, who has proved His existence beyond any doubt, addresses the intellect He has given to human beings; He informs the events that will happen in a way that is beyond any doubt.
To Allah (swt), who is the return of all beings (Hay), the human being, who seems to be irresponsible, is actually under such a responsibility that he is not even aware of it. In one of his hadiths, the Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) says, "If you knew what I know, you would laugh less and cry more.
Every human being will be returned to Allah (swt) in the face of the true promise of Allah (swt), and when people are resurrected on the Day of Judgment, they will not be spared from accountability on the Day of Reckoning.
What is said in the video
28. To the verse. Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. Keyfe tekfürûne billâhi ve kuntum emvâten fe ahyâkum, summe yumîtukum summe yuhyîkum summe ileyhi turceûn. Look how well He puts it: death and life, and then that you will be returned to Allah. How can you deny Allah, He says. He gave life to all beings, then He will make them die, then bring them back to life, then you will be returned to Him, He says. Look, with how beautifully we said it, in the previous verse, to people we explain everything beautifully. And Allah Almighty, with His verse, so beautifully supports what we said, right after. Yes.
How can you deny Allah? He gave life to all beings. What did we say? The earths and the heaven. The earth and the heavens. What is between these two. What is between the two. What will happen? Every soul shall taste death. And what verse? Their inheritance will remain to Allah. In this case, how can you (?) Allah, how can you deny Him? To all beings He gave life. Allah Almighty has the attribute Hayy. (?) all beings, and all the beings He created take life from Allah's essence. Then He will make them die. Every soul shall taste its death, (?). Then He will resurrect. Its (?) will break and the place of gathering will be set up.
Again Allah Almighty will make people grow there like grass in summer. What? The bodies. Then, with our spirits waiting in the barzakh, face to face, (?), with a driver you will come before Me, and that driver will bear witness for you, and according to the verse 'We make you die twice, We make you die twice', there We will make you die once, He says. (?). The spirit, our true being, (?) the soul will remain.
Yes. Against so many proofs, how can Allah be denied, He says. He created this whole universe upon knowledge, and although all these created things, beings, from the Creator found life, according to some minds the Creator ceased to exist. According to some minds the Creator ceased to exist. Who is this? Allah. I mean, the disbelievers. They denied. That is, such a Creator did not create these beings; this universe equipped itself with knowledge and gave itself life; it emerged as what they call nature, and produced itself. Mindless person. Truly. Having reached a certain position, having put himself in the class of scholars, pitiful people who issue rulings by meeting in the class of geniuses.
Listen. Listen. Did you give this soil life, soul and mind? Listen again. Look at the monkeys, the monkeys. Since monkeys were created, they've been monkeys. Lions, tigers, zebras, all animals, cats, dogs, humans, since they were created, in the same nature carry on. If a being had changed on its own, since our father Adam until this time, man too would have changed. Since man has not changed, with which tiny mind of yours, animals you change, from land to sea, their gills insert, saying this animal in this way, in this sea, gills like this came about; it produces this, shows it on television, and Allah's existence it tries to remove. Don't you believe this, even while doing it?
Do you believe it? By Allah you don't believe it, by Allah you don't. Why? You do this out of your grudge against Allah, out of grudge.
With your mind you attribute everything to nature.
Which creature changed? Which being changed? With Darwin's story, monkeys changed and became human. Whereas more than 1400 years ago, through the Holy Quran from Allah Almighty, through Allah Almighty's sending of the Prophet (peace be upon him), the people of the Sabbath, denying Allah's command, or not heeding it, well, on the matter of not fishing on Saturday, through the trick, making (?), making breakwaters, Allah Almighty turning their forms into monkeys,
and informing us of this, with the human form, well, being found in the form of a monkey, Allah Almighty proves His verse, His verse, He proves the miracles, the miracles. Maybe if these had appeared before your eyes, you would say this is magic. But Allah Almighty informed us 14 (?) years ago in His verse, and with these being found, with such movements of theirs, well, with man's (?) coming about, that our Lord turned them into monkeys, how well we see. In fact, in the Gospel it says this. In the Gospel: We turned some of them into swine. Into the form of pigs. Into the form of monkeys and pigs.
Well, in this case, that Allah Almighty over people has power, that He has power over all things, through His verses, His miracles which He will make appear to us until the Day of Judgment He shows. Miracles. Man cannot say: in the Prophet's time I showed a miracle and so it would be. Actually, miracles. Miracles with knowledge, with knowledge. The mind works better. What does it say? We let the sweet and the salty water loose upon each other. These never mix with each other. Well, the place he found at Gibraltar, the place Captain Cousteau found, his shouting I found it. Well, and then, what you say you found, in the Holy Quran, in this verse, is written, as was said.
And the monkeys, well, man being turned into a monkey. What (?) found, still, still, on television, there, them, the monkeys, let me tell you, they make them hairy, do whatever. Well, they put them into monkeys. Monkeys (?) from humans. They make them hairy, turn them into monkey form. They turn them, trying to tell people something. And when a devout Muslim at their meeting, the opposite of theirs proves, they throw the man out. Because it runs against their own ideas. Well done to that person. Being excluded by people does a person no harm. As long as Allah does not exclude the person. Yes.
Now we continue.
Let's read that part again. Against so many proofs, how can Allah be denied? Although, by the One who created this whole universe upon knowledge, who created all these created beings, they found life, the Creator, according to some minds, ceased to exist; that is, such a Creator did not create these beings. This universe equipped itself with knowledge and gave itself life. Nature, equipment, object came about and produced itself.
That is, never mind worldly life: the world, the moon and the sun, around their own axes, these equipped themselves with a mind. They said, let us move like this. Then, then let us make the lunar calendar. You know, the lunar calendar, let us make the calendar. Then let there be night and day; let them rest, the people living upon it.
Right, so nature didn't become Allah, if these carry on like this. Then, let so many stars in the universe too equip themselves with knowledge; they raised themselves with mind and soul, life; these, these galaxies, these stars in the sky, without ever colliding with each other, will travel. Well, now I ask the one who gives mind to nature this way. Will the Day of Judgment come? Will the Day of Judgment come? Now if out of spite you say it won't, by Allah I'll (?) you now. Your scientists, you too: the tearing of the world's ozone layer, that the world, around 200 years is its lifespan, don't you know that?
Aren't you working, well, to save the world? You can't save it. Its ozone layer that is gone, you, well, cannot repair. It's finished. Well, are the glaciers melting? Aren't you afraid of the glaciers melting? Aren't you looking for a homeland in various places, saying waters will flood your homeland?
Fools. So what are you chasing after? Which mind are you serving?
So the Day of Judgment will come. Who said this Day of Judgment will come? Allah said it. That Allah said it. That Allah you say does not exist, that you try to prove does not exist, said it. The One who created you said it. You will come before Him, you will give account; you may flee in this world as much as you want; do you know what you look like? In prison, between four walls, seeking shelter, looking for a hole to escape from there, you look like such a person. But the walls of that prison are so strong that nowhere can you escape, and finally, caught, (?) there. Yes, as it is (?), isn't it, what is told? O human, if there were such a thing, it would be a god, would keep itself alive, would not part from its creations, would be immortal. Who are these?
What you speak of, those that change themselves, and that life and that world, the objects you call nature, become gods. Such a creator, it can change. These are the fabrications of the Nimrods, the Pharaohs, the Abu Jahls, and people who are the continuation of their lineage. In their time the Nimrods too, the Pharaohs too, declared themselves gods. In the end, from the verse 'Every soul shall taste death', bowing to it, they could not escape. Finally they tasted death; before the Divine Presence, the true word of the Creator, they will not be able to save themselves from giving account. Nimrod says to Abraham: your Lord, where is He from?
He, so many worlds, how, he says, does He create, he says. Well, I am your Lord, Nimrod says to Abraham. So you, your Lord is you, he says, your Lord, you. You see, I have armies, he says, I have all sorts, he says. I have this, I have that.
My Lord, he says, created these worlds. That sun, he says, well, He makes it rise from the east. You turn it from the west, then, he says. Verse... (?). Against this, Nimrod is left (?). I have armies, he says. My Lord too has armies, he says. So he is defeated by an army of mosquitoes. He flees. That one lame mosquito enters through the keyhole of the door. Entering through his nostril, it begins to tickle his brain. Having a mallet struck on his head again and again and again, it kills him. When he had the mallet struck on his head, he would feel relief. Now the fly would calm down a bit. Then it would start tickling again.
Again it itches, and when the mallet strikes he would again feel some relief. Having his head struck again and again, it kills him.
Who remains everlasting? Who remains everlasting? Look, do you know who remains? Hüve'l-evvelü ve'l-âhiru ve'z-zâhiru ve'l-bâtın. Who is this? This is Allah. The One who created these worlds. Who in pre-eternity, in pre-eternity, subsists by His essence. Who exists by Himself and, always addressing the world of mankind, makes His essence known, and after the Day of Judgment too will call people to account: that Allah is everlasting. All existence is His. Dominion is His. Sovereignty is His.
We are helpless. We don't own an atom. We always wear our Lord's (?), we eat, we drink. We are not capable of creating anything. We receive everything ready-made. Ready-made. From the soil, look how beautiful. Our minerals. Well, we take everything from the soil. He brought the foods too and set them there. We sow their seeds. We take them out from there and eat. Our Lord has offered all of it to our service. We are not creators of anything.
Yes. We continue with the verse.
Allah, who is the First and the Last, the Manifest and the Hidden, is everlasting. All other created things are transient.
When the time comes, the Day of Judgment will come; Allah, the Everlasting, will remain. So Allah, who first created us, gave us life. Then His word, which is truth, will come to pass. Every soul shall taste death. Then the Day of Judgment will come. Then we will gather before the Divine Presence and give account in the Supreme Court. So Allah, who proves His existence beyond any doubt, to people, addressing the mind He gave, the events to come, beyond any doubt, makes known. Beyond any doubt.
The return of all beings, to Allah Almighty, who is Hayy, is so; why Hayy? The One who gives life to the universe, to Allah who is One; He who gives that life will in the end make them die, will take them anyway. Man, who seems irresponsible, is actually under such a responsibility that he is not even aware of it.
I say, stop, who can interfere with me? You walk on, you are free in your will too. There's no law to interfere with you either. Well, according to the laws of non-Muslims, your mother and father cannot interfere with you either.
But wherever you go, the One who created you, your command, the command you gave, the actual deeds you carried out, immediately second by second, atom by atom, He has them written. So you are under such a responsibility that you can't save yourself. But you are heedless of it.
You are not aware of it. Yes. If you could have grasped such a responsibility,
Hazrat Mevlana says, you know, and we support it anyway: Either one becomes as you appear, or they appear as you are. Yes.
The master of the two worlds, Hazrat Muhammad, in a hadith said: if you knew what I know, you would laugh little and weep much. So every person, after returning to Allah, from giving account will not escape. What is it? What the Prophet (peace be upon him) knew, (?), what is it? We cannot know as much as he knew, but as far as he informed us, as he knew, as he heard, as he felt, we surely never (?). Because his feelings, his knowledge and learning, no one, none of the created, can match. But his saying, if you knew what I know, you would laugh little and weep much: of all the deeds done in this world, the atom's weight, the good and the evil, that you will be asked about them, if you only knew. If you only knew.
On the path your nafs and Satan show you, the swamps, knowing them and still following it, the torment you would suffer, if you only knew. If you only knew what kind of place of torment that place called Hell is. If you only knew, and deceived by this rosy appearance of the world, to get it, without asking halal or haram, taking people's lives or deceiving them, destroying their property, when you take it, if you only knew the torment of this, that you are weak against your nafs, if you only knew, and which nafs's state you could break, in a state where, well, with strength, it you could beat like a wrestler, in a state where you could grab it by the scruff and bring it under your rule, well, a time when you are in such a state, since you cannot have it, in that helplessness, by that nafs's game upon you, well, following it, the deeds Allah does not want, when you commit those deeds, if you only knew that torment, by Allah you would laugh little and weep much.
You would weep much. Because you would greatly fear our Lord, our Lord. Such a weeping that a person sobs and sobs and his knees give out and he collapses to the ground; such a weeping.
Fearing Him. Is there a verse, Hodja? About fearing Him, of course there is. What does it say? Those who know Me best fear Me most. Those who know Me best love Me most, He says. Those who know Me best love Me most; so we will fear Him, we will fear Him greatly. We will never incline to evil; we will try to carry out Allah's commands as far as our strength allows.
