We said; “Adam! Dwell in the Paradise with your spouse. Consume from Allah’s provisions as you wish. But do not come close to this tree; otherwise, you will be of those who commit oppression against themselves.”
Tafsir
The intention of Allah (swt), who made our father Adam prostrate to His Essence by giving him his soul, was to send man to the earth, to make man a witness to Him in a realm where His Essence is invisible, and to prove to him what kind of a human being he is. In this respect, before sending our father Adam to the world, He created our mother Eve as his wife so that he would not be lonely and so that the human race could reproduce. He placed them both in Paradise. They were warned, "Enjoy the blessings of Paradise, but do not touch that tree, lest you be among those who wrong your souls," provided that they were offered every blessing they desired, as there was no inconvenience in Paradise.
The evil one, on the other hand, being an enemy of Adam because of his disbelief, sought ways to drive Adam out of Paradise out of envy and jealousy. Finally, he pretended to be his friend and someone who loved him and succeeded in making Adam eat from the tree that Allah (swt) had forbidden him to eat from. When our father Adam and our mother Eve ate the fruits of this tree, their defects appeared. Their places of modesty were exposed. Knowing that this would be the case, Allah (swt) removed our father Adam from Paradise. He sent him to the realm of property that he had prepared beforehand.
As we have mentioned in the above verses, Allah created all the worlds within a plan and program. All the events that would happen were written like a script. The artists were the beings He created. In this respect, Allah, the Exalted, the Exalted, the Exalted, the Exalted, the Exalted, the Exalted, the Exalted, the Exalted, the Exalted, the Exalted, the Exalted, the Exalted, the Exalted, the Exalted, the Exalted, the Exalted, the Exalted, the Exalted, the Exalted, the Exalted, the Exalted, the Exalted, the Exalted, the Exalted, the Exalted, the Exalted, the Exalted, the Exalted, the Exalted, the Exalted, the Exalted, the Exalted, the Exalted. In a verse above, this series of adventures are the events created by our Lord to send our father Adam to the realm of property through his own mistake within the scope of reasons, by making a part of what we say is a cilve'i Rab'baniyyah materialize here.
What is said in the video
let us leave it. We said: O Adam, you and your wife, in Paradise dwell. Dwell in Paradise. Eat freely there of the blessings of Paradise. But do not approach this tree. Or you will be among those who wrong themselves. As I said just now, for mankind to come to this world, Allah Almighty – without in any way, by His own presence, saying "go here, go there" – by creating events and attributing what is done to all who do it, so that He can call people to account for their own deeds, He creates events. This is a great knowledge, we said. A great being. Allah Almighty, who gave our father Adam of His spirit and had him prostrated to – that is, He had beings, the angels and Iblis, prostrate – Allah Almighty, who had them prostrate to His Self, intended to send man to earth and, in a world where His Self is not seen, to have man worship His Self in the unseen.
What did we say earlier? In the realm of Lahut He created our souls. He made a covenant with us. There each of us saw our Lord in human form. That is exactly what is meant by "true form". I said just now: and one is the one who sees me in my true form.
There He appeared to us in human form. We said: We are your Lord. "It is I," He said. "It is I. Am I not so?" He said. "Am I not the Lord?" Drop that.
Pay attention to the Arabic too. It is a definite command anyway. I am your Lord. Elesti – a definite command. I am your Lord. In Germany he says: all the scholars, he says, sir, explained it like this. "They are wise," he says, "are they, um, crazy, and are you the one wise one?" he says. And I say, sir: what is "Elesti"? It is a definite command. Am I not your Lord? Am I your Lord? I am your Lord. So I say: if they all explained it that way, and I, I said, explained the verse fully, are they crazy or am I crazy, I said.
Sir, I truly do not know Arabic.
But beyond those who know Arabic, I know the things Allah Almighty has shown me through the verses.
Their Arabic is not enough to explain what I have seen.
That is why Arabic remains (?) beside me. It is not essential that I know Arabic.
The Prophet too was unlettered. That is, without learning, without learning from anyone on earth, he was raised by Allah Almighty.
If I too know these things without knowing Arabic, then I too am one of those my Lord has raised.
If anyone can prove otherwise, let him tell me the opposite of the verses I explained, let him prove to me that it is not so, prove that it is not so. Then I will kiss his hand, I truly will. "Whoever teaches me one word," says Hazrat Ali, "I become his slave for forty years." If it says, "If knowledge is in China, go and get it," well, I am a lover of knowledge. The knowledge I cannot find among people, my Lord gives me. I learn from Him.
Just as a hashish addict,
used to hashish, his body craves it. Just as an alcoholic, used to alcohol, craves it. If a smoker craves cigarettes, I crave knowledge. I am addicted to knowledge. This too is a trait our Lord has given us.
I would kiss the hand of a person who will teach me. But if my Lord has taught me, there is no one on earth to teach me knowledge either.
If there were someone to teach it, our Lord would not have taught us this knowledge.
Yes.
What are we saying? Allah Almighty, who gave our father Adam of His spirit and had him prostrated to, intended to send man to earth and, in a world where His Self is not seen, to have man worship His Self in the unseen; that was the purpose. Why? Allah Almighty is free of deficient attributes.
If Allah Almighty is free of deficient attributes, and if there we saw our Lord like a human, then we would say: if You had sent us to an unseen world and introduced us to You in a world where Your Self is not seen, we would have worshipped. So our Lord, in answer to all the questions that could be asked, with His attribute of divinity, created everything with His attribute of divinity. So, to bring man to earth, He will create a cause from Paradise. Directly to man – wouldn't Adam say, "O Allah, what did I do that You put me out of Paradise?" Wouldn't he say it to Him? He would. He would. Look what he says even after coming to the world.
"O Allah, that column of light in Paradise, around which I worshipped – if only You would send me that column," he says. He asks for that from there. If He had sent him without guilt, he would have said: "Why did You send me? Worship of You went so well there." He would, you see. Yes.
No one will be able to call Allah Almighty to account. For this reason, so that our father Adam would not suffer loneliness, He created our mother Eve as his wife and settled both of them in Paradise.
Why so he would not be lonely? Allah Almighty was going to set up the human factory. A living factory. A human factory. Doesn't a factory produce something? Doesn't it produce goods? Don't we produce humans as goods too? Don't we produce our goods? Humans. We will produce. Isn't that so? He will set up the human factory. With what? The souls He created in the first barzakh, in the realm of Lahut – so they can enter the garment of a body on earth – He will give each a car. A car. He makes them all car owners. I don't earn money and buy a car. Our earnings were given by Allah anyway. Here's the car. This is my car.
Yes.
Since in the exalted Paradise there is no hardship, every blessing they wish for being set before them, enjoying the blessings of Paradise – only this tree do not touch. Otherwise you wrong your own selves. So as to be among the wrongdoers – our Lord warned them of this and told them in this way. What does He say? Eat everything. Don't eat this. Why?
He is to obey Allah regarding that prohibition, right, Allah Almighty will set a prohibition on something. In that prohibition there will be someone who deceives him. Because the program has been made. What will become of these is set. There will not be the slightest flaw in that program. Everyone will meet the consequence of the deeds they themselves committed. The Accursed will come, deceive Ridwan and enter Paradise. He will deceive the guardian of Paradise and enter Paradise. Then, doesn't Allah Almighty know he will come to Paradise? He knows. It is in the program. He will swear by Allah. Our father Adam is guileless. When one swears by Allah – since he does not know lying, since he does not know lying – what does he do?
He believes him. And Adam – what does he say? "This is your tree of eternity here," he says. "So that you would not stay here forever, Allah Almighty forbade it." "If you eat it," he says, "you will stay here forever." "Forever. You will become immortal," he says. Immortal. Adam doesn't even know he is already immortal. He knows things but is not fully aware of everything. The Accursed will deceive him like this.
He falls for it. When he eats from that tree, his private parts are exposed. When he starts covering himself with leaves from all sides, Allah Almighty (?) says: Did I not tell you? Do not eat from this tree. Or you will be among those who wrong yourselves. "Did I not say so?" He says. "Come on now. Now get out of there. Come to the world as your punishment." In fact this is also our Lord's will. But this will is to come about through deeds, through the sin each person committed himself.
Truly a great matter. Preparing causes for everyone. Knowing what will become of what. That about what His creatures will do, no one can call Allah Almighty to account. Yes.
(?) because of his unbelief, being an enemy to Adam, out of envy and jealousy he looked for ways to get Adam out of Paradise, and finally, appearing to Adam as a friend and someone who loved him, when he made him eat from the tree Allah Almighty had forbidden, when the need to relieve themselves arose, their private parts were exposed, and our Lord put our father Adam out of Paradise and sent him to the realm of Mulk We had prepared beforehand, we said. So what does Allah Almighty say in His verses? The Accursed is your enemy, the Accursed. Do not follow his footsteps, He says.
In many verses. Lest the Accursed strip you, He says. Yes. To My servant who knows Me, the Accursed's temptation is (?). In this case, a person who, following carnal desires and the Accursed's footsteps, finds the temptation he offers pleasing to his nafs, lets it overpower his reason, and walks the path his nafs shows – a person who turns his back on Allah's commands, that person. In this case, this person is like a merchant who has suffered loss.
If what Allah Almighty has commanded us, people do not fulfil – those who suffer wrong.
In Paradise the Accursed appears as his friend. When he brings him near that tree and exposes his private parts, already from this example, sir: because of the enmity shown to our father Adam, every person with faith becomes an enemy to the Accursed. Is that so? If someone unjustly deceived my father and showed him enmity, could you stomach that? This was your father. Our father Adam is our father too.
If the Accursed got him out of there by trickery, and he is an enemy to the children of Adam, to our coming generations too – if, for the child you love so much, to protect them, you make every sacrifice, then tomorrow, that child of yours handed over to the Accursed and dragged to ruin – when you see him in that state, the grief of that father or that mother, sir, a person who cannot grasp it in himself follows, with his nafs, Satan's trail. So what should a person do? He must be an enemy to Satan. Why? Just as he saved his own self, so that his child, that dear self of his, is saved too. What will he say? "My child, look, never fall for Satan's temptation given to you.
He is your enemy. Know your enemy well. There is a two-legged enemy, of your own kind; he confronts you, draws his gun and takes your life. My child, this person is a better person than Satan. Why a better person? He took your life. Perhaps he will be the cause of your entering Paradise. But this Satan will be the cause of your entering Hell.
Never follow him."
That is what he will say. He will tell his children about Satan's temptation.
What does Allah Almighty say? aduvvallâhi ve aduvveküm your enemies and (?). Who are our enemies? Our enemies (?). Unbelievers, idolaters, Magians, those outside Islam. No. Among them there are also friends. There are also good ones. My enemy is within myself. My friend too is within myself. Is Satan an enemy to me? Is my nafs also an enemy to me? Is the world an enemy to me? If I love the world and abandon (?), if I abandon Allah's command, if I follow Satan's footsteps and abandon Allah's command, if I see the desire of my nafs as great, become arrogant, become proud, live in grandeur and do not submit to Allah – there, the enemies are in me.
Well then, Allah Almighty has given so many enemies – has He not given you friends? Against them there are friends too. What is it? Reason, reason. Reason will compare. Your faith, the verses Allah Almighty has sent you, your faith, your inspiration against Satan, Allah's inspiration.
These are your friends. Whichever side you are on, you choose that side. If you are on the friend's side, you choose your friend. If you are on the enemy's side, you choose the enemy's side. You prove this with your deeds. In this way you show what kind of person you are. Look how simple it is. With the verses everything is clear. Everything is explicit. Yes.
