Translation

Eventually, Shaytan (devil) fooled them, and he cause them to get expelled from the blessings of the paradise they were in. We said; “Descend from here! While some of you will be enemies of others, there is a dwelling for you on earth for a certain period, and therein some gains.”

Tafsir

Finally, when the devil brought our father Adam close to the tree that caused him to leave Paradise and fed him, our Lord said, "O Adam, did I not tell you not to approach this tree, lest you be among those who wrong yourselves? Finally, he was taken out of the blessings he was in and sent to the earth.

Allah (swt), when He sent our father Adam to the earth, said, "Descend to the earth, some of you enemies to some of you". The meaning of this verse is that Allah, Who created our souls before, gave them free will and made a covenant with our souls, knew those who were obedient to Him and those who were rebellious to Him, and knew that people would be enemies to each other, either for the sake of Allah or out of jealousy or envy, so He said, "Descend to the earth as enemies, some of you enemies to others".

In accordance with a program drawn beforehand, the realm of property has been prepared for the life of human beings, equipped with all kinds of blessings and ready for the command of mankind. With the arrival of our father Adam in the realm of property, the life of humanity began on earth.

After making a covenant with Allah (swt), however many souls have been created, our souls, which have a waiting place, are taken to their places in the world of Berzah. The soul whose turn has come is sent to the earth by our Lord to bear witness to itself, its surroundings and Allah (swt). It settles in the world for a temporary and transitory period of time, enjoying the blessings of the world and living its life in accordance with the covenant it has made, either as a transgressor or as a believer, and after completing its life, it moves to the Hereafter to await the day when it will be held accountable. He is again taken to his grave in the realm of Berzah. By completing part of a series of adventures in this way, man returns to his original homeland.

What is said in the video

We come to verse 36. Finally Satan made them slip and took them out of the blessing they were in. Thereupon: as enemies to one another, go down to earth. For you there, until a set time, is a dwelling and benefit, We said.

Now, verses should not be read plainly and passed over, as if walking down a road. What does it say? Look. Finally Satan made them slip and took them out of the blessing they were in. We explained these. Thereupon: go down to earth as enemies to one another. Aren't they enemies? Non-Muslims, enemies of Allah – aren't they enemies to those who are Muslim? Or aren't some people enemies to other people? So this: when He created our souls in the first barzakh, in the realm of Lahut, and made a covenant with them at the address Elestü bi-Rabbiküm – since He knew what kind of traits they had, through the characters He gave them – come on now, now again, on condition of being enemies to one another; that is, now taken from the barzakh, in the world everyone will carry out their own deeds.

Yes. Isn't it so? And nicely clear. Allah Almighty says it clearly. He proves here that He knows everything. He says "külli şey'in kadîr", He says "külli şey'in alîm" – all of that He proves here, (?). Finally Satan, to the tree that became the means of our father Adam leaving Paradise, brought him near and made him eat; our Lord: O Adam, did I not tell you, do not approach this tree? Look, so He sees. We explained it in the previous verse too; the verses support one another anyway. Do not approach the tree, or you will be among those who wrong yourselves, He said; finally he was taken out of the blessings he was in and sent to earth.

The blessings he was in – what if I'm there, what if you go down to earth – here too there are blessings, Allah Almighty says so. There are blessings there too. What is the difference between the two? In one, without suffering any wrong, without falling into any pain or sorrow, with all your wishes and desires fulfilled, there is living in Paradise. And there is living on earth, drowning in pain and sorrow, living your joyful and painful days, some afflictions befalling you. There is a great difference between the two.

O Adam, the light on your forehead – the light of Muhammad, of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), roamed on his forehead, it is said. "(?) it to good women, advise your children," He says. When he had children in the world: Cain's killing of Abel.

Isn't that a (?) to our father Adam? Isn't it a wrong? Isn't his child's rebelliousness also a wrong to our father Adam? Is there such a thing in Paradise? So the world can never be compared with Paradise.

What does He say? This time, as enemies to one another, to the earth. Allah Almighty knows everything. It's all programmed. Finally He took him out of the blessings he was in and sent him to earth. Of course there are blessings here too, but they cannot match the blessings there. When sending our father Adam to earth, Allah Almighty also commands: some of you as enemies to others, go down to earth. From the word of this verse (?): Allah Almighty, who created the souls beforehand and gave them partial will and made a covenant with our souls – since He knows those obedient to Him and those rebellious, and since He knows that people, either for Allah's sake or out of jealousy or envy, with all kinds of feelings, will become enemies to one another – commands: Go down to earth as enemies to one another.

Well, why does Allah Almighty send down His creatures like this, as enemies? What is the intent of this? That is, what is Allah's intent toward these people? This is a very short-sighted question. But people ask it. A very short-sighted question. Remember, Allah Almighty was going to create man so that His Self would be known. He was going to create man. And man was to know his Lord by his own will. Yes. In this case, although Allah Almighty gave man of His spirit and created him as the most honoured, man denied the Lord who created him and waited for the Lord of his imagination. In this case he rebelled against Allah.

In return for this rebellion, on earth, sir, although He made known to them that there is no god but Allah, those people who still possess the characters from there – non-Muslims, those who think themselves sons of Allah, those who say Allah is three, those who associate partners with Allah by worshipping idols – on earth are surely those judged in states Allah Almighty does not want, such people. It is not that Allah wronged them. He gave them all the same reason. But they could not use their reason and submit to Allah who created them. So because they could not submit to Him, because they could not submit to Allah, because they gave their covenant as rebels against Allah, We have put (?) on their necks, He says.

They cannot bow their necks. That is, they will never give up their pride and arrogance. They are only people who follow Satan's path, who have fallen into Satan's trap, people like Satan. If Satan is destined for Hell, they too are destined for Hell. What will he say to them? I – Allah promised you Paradise. I promised too, but I turned out a liar. Look, I am in Hell like you. I can do nothing for you, he says. How well he puts it. So use your reason.

Allah Almighty, the Owner of the worlds, makes His Self known to you and tells you that Satan, your nafs and the world are your enemies, and yet you go against Allah's command. If, with the whims of your nafs, your arrogance and pride, you see an ego and grandeur in your own being – Satan anyway tells you this through temptation, leaves you alone with your nafs and tells you words that will make a god of your nafs – and if you are carried away by pride and arrogance with these gilded words; if, meanwhile, within this pride and arrogance, you gain the world, and to show off and swagger before people, and to indulge in pleasure in the world and amuse your own nafs, without recognising human rights, building everything on your own matter, thinking you will own everything, you lead such a life – then, in that place of torment worse than what Satan promised you, you will be subjected to the harshest, the harshest of that torment in this way.

Yes.

Yes, since Allah Almighty knows those obedient to Him and those rebellious, and since He knows that people, either for Allah's sake or out of jealousy or envy, with all kinds of feelings, will become enemies to one another, He will command: Go down to earth as enemies to one another. In line with a program drawn up beforehand, the realm of Mulk was for people's life prepared. Equipped with all kinds of blessings, at mankind's service, it was created ready. With our father Adam's arrival in the realm of Mulk, the life of humankind on earth began. The first human.

That is, we can also say: for the first human. Since Allah Almighty made us the vicegerent of the earth, this whole world is all Adam's property, temporary of course, since there is no other being but him. Well, if it is not Adam's property, then how do you register these lands in your own name – who gives you a title deed? We issue title deeds to one another for Allah's property. That is, we temporarily register property to one another, saying it's mine. There is no one in the world to say to Adam, this property is mine. It's all Adam's. That is, the property was given to Adam. The first owner of property: Adam.

That is, the first owner of the world. Yes, then his children divided it, divided it, those who divided it. Then this place and that were made official, title deeds came into being.

Yes. So we are now sitting on the inheritance of our father Adam. (?), right; in a sense we are on our father Adam's inheritance. It comes down from generation to generation.

Isn't knowledge beautiful? Everything supports everything else.

However many souls were created, their number known to Allah – the number is not known, it is known to Allah. Where? In the realm of Lahut.

Yes, after the covenant with Allah Almighty, they were raised to their places in the barzakh realm, the waiting place of souls.

The time each soul chose according to its own wish and desire it determined itself, and within that time that soul comes to the world.

It is not that Allah Almighty Himself says: you will go at (?) time. He has given that much will into people's hands.

How do you know? By Allah, I know. I saw those realms; if I hadn't seen them I couldn't tell of them, it would be impossible. Outward knowledge is not in a position to handle this, nor to be heir to it – outward knowledge. Sir, in proportion to each person's wish, in proportion to his reason, there is an era he chooses – an era; He shows the times, Allah Almighty. Man himself, according to his own wish and desire, chooses the time he will live in, and he is programmed for it. He has a mind that can keep pace with that level of life. Pay attention: if you raised a person from two hundred years ago into the time of a person who comes a hundred years later, he couldn't live.

Raise a person from a hundred years ago into the present time, he can't live. He can't keep pace with it. Raise us too into the time after us, a hundred years later, we couldn't keep pace. Because their technology will go further and they will race against time, against time. They will race against time.

(?) a verse now. We divided you on earth into peoples, so that you may be recognised quickly.

We were divided into peoples, and also, according to our wishes and desires, we ourselves chose the times we would come. And when that time arrives, within that time, however long our life is, it is given to us as a number of breaths, and we arrive in the world. Then, as actors, we play the script we had written for ourselves. Since the verses constantly confirm one another, we too thus constantly continue, so that the matters are well understood. If you keep listening to me, this much I'll say: the shortcomings of people on earth who say "I am a scholar" you will see with Allah's verses.

Keep listening, I always say so. Keep listening to me. Yes.

However many souls were created, their number known to Allah – after making a covenant with Allah Almighty they were raised to the realm of barzakh, the waiting place of souls, to their places in the barzakh realm; the soul whose turn has come, so that it makes itself witness to itself, to its surroundings and to Allah Almighty, has been sent to earth.

Settling in the world for a passing, temporary time and benefiting from its blessings, living his life as wretched or God-fearing in proportion to the covenant he gave, completing his lifespan, to await the day he will give account, by passing to the realm of the hereafter, man thus completes one part of a series of adventures and returns to his original homeland. What are we saying?

Thus completing one part of a series of adventures, he returns to his original homeland. More, Hodja – after this, is there a continuation of the series of adventures? Of course there is. Of course. Look, we made a covenant. That is, we were created in the realm of Lahut. We became the object of Allah Almighty's reckoning. Each of us saw our Lord. And according to the verse "Your Lord is Me", our Lord we saw. Then we made a covenant with Allah Almighty one by one. Then we were raised to the barzakh. Then, when our time came, we came down to the Mulk. Look, so much of an adventure has passed; we came down to the Mulk.

We live out our life. After that there is a life in the grave (mezar), and a life in the kabir. In the life in the grave we know nothing of ourselves. Because the body will decay. In the kabir life, soul, nafs and life are one. There, in the kabir, our souls, saying "Enelillahi'l-hak, Enelillahi'l-hak", whirl in dance. That is: I saw the truth, that is, Allah is the Truth. They say Allah is the Truth. Sir: I saw Allah, that is, Allah is the Truth. The aim of their saying this, says Abdulqadir Gilani, the aim of their saying this is that when they made the covenant with Allah Almighty they saw their Lord, he says.

Yes, what will happen, what's going to happen? Ahead of us, the grave, and the kabir life, the kabir life of soul and nafs, then the Hour striking. Then the bodies being resurrected, brought face to face with the souls, then in the presence of Allah Almighty, at the Supreme Court, being called to account, then to Paradise, to Hell. So the final separation ends here. There's more, we'll go further.

Uwais al-Qarani used to say: I go, day and night. We go, day and night. We'll go further. Yes.

But he had a saying. I don't embrace it. (?), I don't embrace it anyway. "My faithful companion is the dark earth," he used to say. My faithful companion is Allah Almighty. For me, Allah's creatures are not faithful to me. The most faithful is Allah. Because who is more true to His word than Allah, He says. Yes. We don't say this to criticise people, but to point out the shortcomings in the words. Yes.
