Translation

And believe in the Qur’an that was sent down as a confirmation of the Torah that is with you. Don’t be among the first of the disbelievers. Don’t sell My verses in return for a small reward. Abstain from (disobeying) Me.

Tafsir

Allah (swt) refers to the Torah which He sent to Moses and the people of Israel, and says, "Hold fast to that which is with you, believe in it, and do not be the first of those who disbelieve in it. Since Allah (swt) knows the covenant, the covenant that He has taken from them, He warns them because He knows what they will do, so that they will not say, "You did not warn us" in the worldly world. In a verse, Allah says, "We do not hold anyone responsible for what We do not announce". In this respect, by announcing the events that will happen to us in advance, our Lord imposes the responsibilities on the people who have their will in their hands. And out of his mercy he reminds people.

(Do not be the first of those who disbelieve in it), i.e. obey the Torah and what I sent to you, meaning the Torah and Moses, and if you disbelieve in it, you will be a bad example for the generations that will come after you. In this respect, your sin will be even greater.

Do not sell the Verses of Allah (swt) for the world. Do not change the verses and say them in a way that suits your interests. Or give a fatwa according to your interests. Do not hide what is in them and fear only Me. For Allah's punishment is severe.

What is said in the video

Verse forty-one, the noble verse: in what is with you, in what I sent down — what is that? The Torah. Believe in it firmly; of those who deny it, the first do not be.

Was there no one who denied before that? Look at the noble verse now. (?) now. Impossible, they can't explain it. Never be one who denies. Didn't people come before that? They did. Didn't he kill Abel? He did. Well, weren't there deniers after that? Weren't there deniers in the time of Noah? But what does it say? Pay close attention. Do not be the first of those who deny it. What? The Torah. As the first book I send the Torah together with a prophet. My first book is the Torah, He says. The Torah. This book I sent you together with a prophet — of those who deny it, do not be the first, He says.

All right, there is denial by those to whom no book was sent. They may deny the prophets and so on. Whether they understand or not, whatever. But as people of the book, of those who deny this book I first sent, never be, He says.

(?) Look at me. How beautiful.

Do not change My verses for worldly gain. Don't they change them? They do.

Didn't they change the Torah, the Psalms, the Gospel? They changed them. They changed them. And their originals are in the Holy Quran. The Torah, Psalms and Gospel in their hands have no original.

Yes.

Fear only Me, says Allah Almighty. Fear Me.

Meaning the Torah He sent to the people of Israel with Moses: to what is with you hold fast. To what is with you, both My book and the Messenger I sent, hold fast. Hold fast to the rope of Allah, hold tight to the handle of Allah, He says. In Kanlıca, sir, whatever kind of group it is, I can't call them a Sufi order. Whatever kind of group it is, they stretched a rope from one side to the other. A rope, this. Senan Hodja tells us. Hodja, over where we are they stretched a rope from side to side. The man at the head of that group said, he says: hold fast to the rope of Allah. This is the rope of Allah. Whoever holds on to it has held on to the rope of Allah.

That's what they said, he says. Everyone who comes holds on to the rope and goes along, he says. Holds on to the rope and goes along.

Ignorance like this in this age, sir, in an age when technology has advanced, an age when minds have come into play, people, because of their ignorant faith, like this try to find life in what such poor people say.

When He says hold fast to the handle of Allah, to the rope of Allah, hold fast, the rope of Allah is the sharia rulings. Sharia rulings. Whoever holds fast to that sharia ruling (?).

Did you say the testimony of faith? You are a Muslim. Then did you perform your prayer? This is a sharia ruling. Did you keep your fast? Did you go on your pilgrimage? If you have money, did you also give your zakat? And if you do these, if you have held fast to the rope of Allah, that is, if you haven't abandoned these, if you have fulfilled them, you will have reformed your nafs too, so that you attain salvation. Yes.

Meaning the Torah: hold fast to what is with you. Believe in it. Do not be the first of those who deny it. That is, do not be the first. Again, Allah Almighty, because He knows the covenant He took from them earlier in the barzakh, that is, the pact, that is, the bond, so that in this world they do not say, you did not warn us. Because He knows that in their nafs there is denial. They had that destiny written for themselves. But Allah's mercy is so abundant that although He knows, He pours it down. As you know, His mercy in the universe falls on everyone. Yes.

In a verse Allah Almighty says: when We have not made it heard, We hold none of you responsible. For this reason, our Lord, by making known to us beforehand the events to come, reminds people, who hold partial free will in their hands, of their responsibilities, out of His mercy. Their responsibilities. And through the deeds they actually do, the evils and good deeds people have done are what their own hands, their two hands, have earned, so they are what they themselves have earned. Yes.

Do not be the first of those who deny it. That is, meaning the Torah and Moses: what I sent, obey it. If you engage in denial, to the generations coming after you you will also be a bad example. For this reason your sin grows even more. And a bad example too. What is it? All right, there was no book; there were prophets telling people. Now to whom will you be a bad example? By denying the book although the book was sent, by denying the book Allah sent, you become a bad example to those coming after you.

Yes. Do not sell Allah Almighty's verses for worldly gain. Do not sell them. Aren't there those who sell? Plenty. Plenty. Naming names is not good, but the actual deeds are clear. People, for a certain position, for a certain position, outside Allah Almighty's verses, knowingly, so as not to lose that position, give fatwas. Fatwas. Yes.

Mark my words, such people end up humiliated.

They taste humiliation.

People don't speak well of them at all.

Just so, according to the noble verse, those who change Allah's verses for material gain or sell them — certainly, just as Allah Almighty makes him taste humiliation in this world, so in the hereafter too, because they sold Allah's verses for material gain, to make their own nafs taste worldly pleasure, to keep alive the eagerness of that (?), if he sold Allah's verses for material gain, in the hereafter too he will make his nafs taste pleasures in the fire too. His nafs. That fire is enough. May Allah protect us.

He cannot escape it. He cannot escape that fire.

Because if that person, for worldly things, gain, pleasure and enjoyment, so that they say this of me, so that they call me progressive, changed those verses knowingly for material gain, or gives fatwas, and from that takes pleasure in the feelings of the nafs, in the hereafter too entering the fire will be his payment for it.

Now that is an open field.

Here is Allah's verse, in the (?) world. In the (?) world. Allah's verse, just as you see this hand of mine.

Here you are, just as you see this hand of mine.

Come on then.

Obey if you like, or turn your back if you want.

All of it is evident to Allah. In the end, the return, hop, to your Lord. You have nowhere to run. There is no one who can run away at all.

Do you know the place where you were created? The realm of Lahut. I didn't see it. I saw it. I saw it, I know. That I saw may be just words to you. But we will prove that I saw it. How will we prove it? With the verses of Allah Almighty. There is a verse. What does it say? That. We made a covenant with those who would emerge from the offspring of the children of Adam, He says. Sir, We said: your Lord, He says.

If no mind can deny Allah, no mind — impossible. Even the denier who sets out to prove it knows in his own conscience that there is a Lord, he knows this. Because they said yes, He says. Yes. Yes. He knows there is a Lord. He knows that the worlds have a Lord. Because it is impossible for these worlds, out of the blue, to come together with life and soul and set up this order. They cannot; so this world has an owner. Who is this owner? Allah Almighty. If you know this, then that address, "Elestü bi Rabbiküm", you cannot deny. Since you cannot deny it, if your creation in the realm of Lahut is closed to you, if your covenant is closed to you, if the realm of barzakh is closed to you, if you have come into the material world and started from zero, Allah Almighty reminds you of those realms with His noble verses.

If He reminds you of those realms and you turn your back, there is no way at all; from Allah Almighty you will not be able to escape. To the place you first came from (?). You will return there. In (?) of this, no one, in (?), no one can prove it. Yes. Do not sell Allah Almighty's verses for worldly gain. Do not change the verses and say them in a way that serves your interests. Do not say them in a way that serves your interests. I'll lose my post. They'll throw me out of here, and so that the people call me progressive — in the direction that the enemies of religion, the non-Muslims want, never make concessions.

Or do not give fatwas in line with your interests.

Do not hide what is in it. Of what? Of the Torah, the Gospel, the Psalms, the Quran; if He says it to them, He is saying it to us too. And fear only Me, because Allah's punishment is very severe, we say. Yes.
