Do not cover the Truth with falsehood, while you indeed know the Truth.

Tafsir

Some of the Verses of Allah (swt) were hidden by the Jews. Despite the Torah's description of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the Jews hid the description of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). With their own superstitious beliefs, they thought that they could cover up what Allah (swt) wanted to reveal. It is clear from this that the Jews and others like them, those who denied the truth, could not recognize Allah (swt). If they had known Allah, they would not have hidden the Verses and changed the Verses of Allah in exchange for material goods. If Allah has willed something, no creature can stand in the way of it or prevent it. However, people increase their disbelief by disobeying the Divine command.

Allah is addressing the Jews, and at the same time this address is general, (but you know the Truth.) That is to say, We know what you are hiding, and We know what you will do in the future. For He is the One who writes your destiny for you according to your desires and wishes, and He is the One who creates the causes according to those destinies, can anything be hidden from such a God? Is that possible? But those who do not recognize Allah (swt), those who follow the path of the unwise angel, behave just like the angel. When the angel was told to prostrate to Adam, he thought that he would incapacitate Allah (swt) through a game of logic and led his own existence to destruction. Would they have behaved like this if they had known Allah, if they had realized what power and might He possesses, if they had comprehended our Lord, who created out of nothing, who has the power to create, who is exalted from all imperfect attributes? So fear Me, and do not try to cover it with your superstitions, even though you know the truth.

What is said in the video

In our last lesson we skipped verse 42. Those listening to us from Germany immediately alert Muhsin Pasha. Our Hodja probably — 42, sir, 42 — skipped the noble verse, they said. Right away Muhsin Pasha writes to us here. Yes, Hodja, he says. What does he say? Hodja, some friends — 42 — did you skip that noble verse, they're asking, he says. We looked, and indeed we had skipped 42, the noble verse.

We said it has gotten very late. Let's explain it in our next lesson, we said. In the noble verse: do not cover the truth with falsehood and hide it, while you know the truth, He says. To whom? He says it as if to the Jews, but it is to all people. When we say all people here: to Islam a warning — to Islam, to everyone, because the Quran's verses are for all people — but to those outside the ideology of Islam, a very fine slap, a slap. Let's read what we've written, let's open up what we read verse by verse. The Jews used to hide some of Allah Almighty's verses. Although the Torah made known the description of the Prophet, the Jews hide the described attributes of the Messenger of the Exalted, Muhammad; with some remedies of their own, what Allah Almighty wanted to make known, they thought they would cover and close up, as they imagined.

Whereas, since Allah Almighty will hold no one responsible for a thing He has not made heard, did they think they would put out the light of Islam with the blowing of their mouths? According to His noble verse that Allah will complete His light until the Day of Judgment, which person, or which created being, goes outside Allah's will, breaks our Lord's will and carries out his own desire and wish? Is this possible? It is not possible. So those who want to cover the truth with falsehood, those who changed the verses in the Torah according to their own interests, are surely people who, expelled from Allah Almighty's mercy, have turned their backs on Allah.

One day one of the kings asks John for a fatwa so that he can marry his sister's daughter.

And the king's sister wants to give her daughter to the king too. These are what the verses correspond to; I am telling you. Not a story.

John says, I won't give a fatwa for this. You cannot marry her, he says. But Moses used to give a fatwa, he says. One could marry, after all. I am on the religion of Jesus, he says. Of Jesus. And Jesus has not even appeared yet, but he knows he will come, he is a prophet, after all.

I am on another religion, he says.

I am on the religion of the One God. Thereupon, under pressure from his sister, the king throws John into prison.

Now here, the king saying that Moses used to give a fatwa for this — Allah forbid — their accusing Moses: in the Torah Moses never gives a fatwa saying marry your sister, your sister's daughter. So what are these? They are the ones who, by their own minds, the book change. By their own minds. In this case a Jewish woman takes one of my students to a car repair shop. She is going to have the car repaired. There, when the subject of religion comes up, she says exactly this. To produce my lineage, I would never refrain even from sleeping with my father, she says. Look at these people. Those who boast of their children, of their (?).

Those who cover the truth with falsehood and, in their own nafs, try to make themselves out to be right, like the ostrich, they their necks — the ostrich, they say, sticks its neck in the sand when it sees its enemy and thinks it cannot be seen. So these people, changing Allah's verses as their own minds see fit, covering with falsehood the truth, covering the truth with falsehood, their own ideas, as if Allah had said them in the world, spreading widely, and in the end Allah Almighty — so as not to be called to account for what they did, saying You said it and I did it — putting Allah in the position of the guilty.

These are the people who are unjust to their own nafs. What do they do? The Jews, of the Messenger of the Exalted, Muhammad (peace be upon him), hide the described attributes. With their false remedies, you see, by changing the books, with their false remedies, what Allah Almighty wanted to make known, they think, as they imagine, they would cover and close up.

From this it is understood that the Jews and those like them, those who deny the truth, have not been able to know Allah Almighty. Have not been able to know Allah Almighty. If they were people who knew Allah Almighty, they would not behave this way. If Allah has willed something, no created being can stand in its way. It cannot hide it. Only, by defying the divine command, people (?) their own kufr.

As I said just now, there is no created being — Allah Almighty has programmed these worlds with what will be; no power can go outside this program. Why can't it? Allah Almighty says in His noble verse: if We do not will, you cannot will. What does this mean? It is in this noble verse that people go wrong. Allah willed it, so I did this. Allah willed it, so you did that. This — Allah did this, Allah did that. These are the ideas of very short-sighted people who cannot think, who cannot use their minds, who, in a craving for leadership, sir, pass themselves off as somebody.

Allah, you see, says it like this. If We do not will, you cannot will. So whatever He cannot will, we cannot will. O man! In the address Elestü bi Rabbiküm, I made a mutual covenant with you. I made a covenant. I wrote your desire and wish, your will, for you as destiny. It is not possible that you could change this. This is not possible. Because I wrote these characters, your desire and wish, your will, for you as destiny.

Your wish — but from partial free will. Only the power to change it belongs to Me, He says to me. You cannot comprehend this. But a word has also come from Us, He says. Paradise and hell. In this case, He says, We are now not going to make changes to what has been written. So what is it? With Us there is a book that is preserved in the Preserved Tablet. Nothing will afterwards be added to it nor changed in it, He says. But in this case no person can do anything outside the willing of Allah Almighty. That is: if We do not will, you cannot will. That is, you cannot go outside your destiny. But there can also be Our willing.

Only We can change this, He says. But We have also left you free with your own will. We gave everyone their desire and wish, their will, as their destiny. In this case each person will prove what kind of person he is. And according to the noble verse that what you earn is the return of your two hands, every person, with the judgment he himself has made, will push himself either to reward or to sin. In this case, after you have proved yourself, in the hereafter, there — of that world, the judgment is Mine, He says. On the day when judgment is Allah's alone, He will settle our account with our good deeds or sins and send us to the places we deserve.

Allah Almighty, addressing the Jews — and at the same time this address covering everyone: while you know the truth. You know the truth. That is, what you are hiding We know, and what you will do in the future We also know, He says. We passed over this part as covering everyone, covering everyone; we will open this part up. Because the one who writes your destiny according to your desire and wish, and who creates causes according to those destinies, is Him. Can anything be hidden from such an Allah? Now here we brought the subject in an outward or a second, third meaning, like this. Here the real meaning, the real meaning: while you know the truth. What is this?

The real meaning is Elestü bi Rabbiküm. I am your Lord. Yes. This yes. That is, you know that there is a Lord. You know that you were created by an Allah. Is it this? While you know the Truth. Who is the Truth? Allah. So you know the Truth, there, you, because I created you close to My Self, out of the pride and arrogance of the nafs, people who wait for the Lord of their own imagination. So you know the Truth. You also know that you were created there. But because I created you close to My Self, says Allah Almighty, out of your arrogance and pride, your ego, you took the path of Satan, you turned your back on Me.

So in this case you fell into shirk; you waited for the Lord of your imagination.

We know what you are waiting for, says Allah Almighty. We gave the meaning of this noble verse there as covering everyone. There is not a single living particle to come until the Day of Judgment that We do not know what it will not do. We gave the meaning here accordingly. We said, if we explain it, we will explain it more deeply. More comprehensively. Yes, what

does He say? Let's read it again now: Allah Almighty, addressing the Jews, at the same time this address covering everyone: while you know the truth. Fine. You know the truth, that is, what you are hiding We know. Actually, what is being hidden here? That he was created — though he knows it, denying Allah Almighty and the Lord of his own imagination waiting for. Here is a verse for this word you said. My beloved, do not mind their calling you a liar. In their time they betrayed Me too, He says.

The verses are history. These are what the verses correspond to.

Yes. That is, what you are hiding We know. And what you will do in the future We also know, He says. What did we do? We are speaking in a veiled way here. Because it's for everyone.

Since the public, seeing me in front of them, can't ask me what is on their mind, we veiled it in this way.

Because the one who writes your destiny according to your desire and wish, and creates causes according to that destiny, is Him. Can anything be hidden from such an Allah? Is this possible? But those who do not know Allah Almighty, short of mind, who follow the path of the accursed one, behave just like the accursed one, who, when told prostrate to Adam, thought that with a game of logic Allah Almighty would (?) — actually, with behaviour that destroys their own being, those who deny Allah.

If he knew Allah (?), what power and might He possesses, if he grasped, that He creates from nothing, has the power to create, is free from deficient attributes, if he grasped that, could that person behave like this?

So what comes out here now? The meaning of another noble verse comes out. Will you never use your minds, He says. Will you never comprehend, never reflect, He says, will you not think? The meanings of the noble verses come out.

To the one who behaves like this: then fear Me; although you know the truth, do not try to cover it with your false remedies, He says. What does He say here? While you know the truth. So you too know that I was created. Where? In the realm of Lahut, Lahut. There our desires and wishes were written for us as destiny. They were engraved into our spirit as characters. In this case we were taken up to the barzakh. When our time came, in this world those desires and wishes in us as characters are evident. Turning these characters into desire and wish, through actual deeds we prove what kind of person we are.

In this case, since we were created there, we know; here, look what Allah Almighty says now: O man, He says, you too know that there is a Lord. I was created. With the mind I gave you — although you possess a mind that can tell good and right apart, will you never use your mind? But you too know that there is a Lord. So, betraying this Truth, the one you keep alive in your imagination, who still cannot call out to you — making idols with your hand, the Lord of your imagination, bringing His spirit and putting it in that idol, and worshipping it, does it befit you, He says.

So you too know that there is a Truth; so do not cover the truth with falsehood, He says. With falsehood, with your false beliefs. If you continue with this, if you continue with this, then you are like a bankrupt merchant, He says. You are like a merchant who has suffered a loss. So your place, that return — what an evil bed it is, He says: hell, and in that hell how, how enduring of the fire, He says, how enduring of that fire they are, He says. May Allah protect us. Yes, verse 42 ends here.
