Tafsir
The people of Beni Israel said, 'We will never believe in Allah until we see Him. We can deduce two meanings from this verse.
In the first meaning, Allah (swt) is free from time and space and does not need His creatures. In the worldly realm, which we call the realm of the unseen, it is not possible to see Allah (swt) with these material eyes, that is, with our bodies. In the Hereafter, He says that our Lord will be seen by His creatures. The verse in which he says, "The lightning seized you while you were looking," means that the people of Israel were struck by lightning, they died, and they saw Allah (swt) in a state beyond death. It is a strong proof according to the next verse.
Secondly, by killing and resurrecting the people of Israel, he proved the existence of his Self and showed that resurrection after death is true. He gave an example in this regard.
Allah (swt) creates all kinds of miracles to make His existence known. This means that no one will be able to say to Allah (swt) that I would have obeyed you if you had made something happen to me or proved your existence to me.
What is said in the video
In the verse: And once, O Moses, until we see Allah openly we will never believe. These are a people who went very far. What does it say now? And once you had said: O Moses, until we see Allah openly, we will never believe. Thereupon the thunderbolt seized you. You were looking on.
Now what comes to my mind?
Our government, our state, wants to join the European Union.
Whatever it does, they always put a problem in its way. And yet the European Union needs our state.
Whenever we turn our backs on them, they run after us. Whenever we want to come closer to them, they put obstacles between us. What is the reason? In their laws, in their statutes, there is an article like this: No state that is Islamic can join us.
They, toward the Republic of Turkey, toward this state, just like people whose health depends on a cow's milk, they need this state, and yet, because of their false beliefs and out of their pride and arrogance, even though it wrongs their own selves, they put obstacles in between, creating problem after problem. That is the Jew, too. Problem after problem. Although Allah Almighty showed them so many miracles, problem after problem from them. This time it is: we will see (?) openly. Allah Almighty says in His verse: We sent you into the unseen. The unseen is a realm. Being seen there is not possible.
Then how will He be seen? He will be seen after death, in the beyond. So Allah Almighty seizes them with a thunderbolt, they die, and after that He again brings them back to life.
And in the verse: Once, O Moses, until we see Allah openly we will never believe, you had said. Thereupon the thunderbolt seized you, you were looking on, it says. The people of the Children of Israel, the people of the Children of Israel said: we will never believe without seeing Allah. We can draw two meanings from this verse. In the first meaning, Allah Almighty is free of time and place and has no need of what He created. In the worldly realm, which we call the unseen realm, seeing Allah Almighty with these physical eyes, that is, with our bodies, is not possible. With the verse saying, the thunderbolt seized you while you looked on, the Children of Israel were struck by the thunderbolt; in the hereafter, the realm beyond death, our Lord will be seen by His creatures, as Allah Almighty declares; He may have shown them His Self.
According to the next verse, we say it is a strong likelihood. Actually, our saying it in this doubtful way is because we write for the general public. It is because He showed His very Self. What does it say? At the moment of death, are you nearer to him with your power, or are We? They, look, say: if You send us back once more, see how we will worship. So it is not a strong likelihood, not a likelihood; strongly, after they die Allah Almighty shows them His Self. In a second way, by killing the Children of Israel and reviving them, it is to prove the existence of His Self and to show that resurrection after death is true.
This is another meaning. For the proof of His existence. But the first meaning is the stronger.
He may also have given an example for this. This, too, is true. To make known the existence of His Self, Allah Almighty creates all kinds of miracles. The purpose is that no one can say to Allah Almighty: had You brought about an event convincing me, had You proven Your existence to me. So this, too, is given to them as a miracle. But in fact, by killing them, at that moment He takes them out of the unseen realm, out of the unseen realm. After showing them the manifestation of His Self spiritually, He brings them back to life again.
